I planned our Thanksgiving trip in the beginning of the year in hopes to give thanks under God's amazing light show. I found the Aurora Borealis Lodge by googling and thru the Alaska travel sites but what helped me make my decision to stay here instead of anywhere else was reading all the great reviews from all the other guests....

Based upon reviews, we decided to try this place. We went to their website, dutifully looked up availability, and made reservations replete with credit card. Having made the reservations, we booked air travel. All set, right? Except it wasn't a reservation, it seems. Mok found someone else to book the room, perhaps for a longer time? Unknown. But 2 days...

These apartments are a great place to watch the nothern lights. We stayed in November and managed to see the northern lights 3 nights out of 3. We had one of the top apartments that are slightly more expensive, but they are a good size, very clean and come with heated toilet seats. The rooms are modern and have a...

Rained most of our stay, but managed to see the lights one or two nights. Rooms were fine and Sitka ( black Lab) was Adorable. He reminded me of our lab that had crossed over the rainbow bridge and made our stay so enjoyable ( even though the weather didn't cooperate.

I stayed for two nights at the end of October and had an absolutely amazing stay. The cabins were clean, well kept, and had a lot of nice touches to make them more comfortable for the guests. We saw aurora activity both nights we stayed and couldn't have imagined a better view. Mok, the owner, was so hospitable (and I'm...

We just spent the past 3 nights there. We were able to see spectacular light shows every night. The 2nd night Mok had a group out there and set my camera on the right settings to get awesome pictures that night and our 3rd night! Be sure to have a tripod and we used the timer on our camera! Be...

We were in Fairbanks for 4 nights. This lodge has an amazing location for Aurora viewing. It is cozy and warm when you are waiting inside. Has panoramic windows and a great deck. Mok the owner and the tour guide is very personal, approachable and extremely helpful. There is tea and coffee when you get cold outside. Soft background music...

This lodge is fantastic!!!. The spacious room has 2 large windows facing north and a (inside) couch sitting in front of the clean windows, so excellent design for viewing. They have walkie talkies that the owner uses to make you aware if the northern lights are "showing", so quite helpful. The kitchenette is nice and a heated bidet was a...

Mok owns this Lodge, and you need a certain type of camera to get a picture of the Aurora Borealis. He knows when the best is coming, and can take a picture of you with the Northern lights. It's weather-pending, so you will want to book 3 nights in a row, during the Aurora Borealis season and their's about a...
