After a long drive from upstate NY through Washington D.C. traffic, my husband and I arrived late afternoon and were warmly greeted by Cheryl, the innkeeper. She gave us some suggestions for dinner and showed us to our room. I had read some reviews about street noise since the Inn is on a main street, so we really enjoyed our...

A beautiful, historic home in downtown Fredericksburg. Our room was lovely though it looks as though the bathroom could use a paint touch up as something may have been splashed on the walls? Regardless, it was comfortable and very clean otherwise. Breakfast was plentiful--an omelette, meat (or in my case, vegetarian "meat" they kindly prepared to accommodate my diet) and...

My son and I met my husband, who has been in training nearby for the last four months, in Fredericksburg for the long weekend. We haven't seen him in quite a while, and the Richard Johnston Inn was the *perfect* place for a lazy and wonderful weekend. My five year old son and I were warmly greeted when we arrived....

I stayed at this B&B with 3 other friends to celebrate a birthday. It was fabulous! Everyone was courteous and attentive! The staff told us about the history of the hotel, gave us dinner recommendations, and really made us feel welcome. The breakfast each morning was incredible! And the rooms are so beautiful. Definitely staying here again.

Absolutely Loved this gorgeous boutique hotel right in the middle of the old town of Fredericksburg VA. The house and rooms are huge, charming and beautifully restored. Cheryl was a wonderfully generous, helpful & friendly host - who also makes a stunning breakfast! Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderfully relaxing weeknight between the Christmas and New Year's holiday at the Richard Johnston Inn. The historic property is ideally situated in old town Fredericksburg allowing us to walk to any number of restaurants and shops. The interior was fully decorated for the Christmas season and our room (the Loft) was perfect. The loft faces the rear...

From the moment we walked in we were greated cordially, shown the amenities available during our stay and then taken to our lovely third floor room which was charming and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and the...

An old inn located inn quaint historic Fredericksburg just one street up from the river. The innkeepers are wonderful - full of assistance without being intrusive. Much of the downstairs is a public area that is so comfortable that it makes you want to take pictures and try to recreate it at home! Large, comfortable rooms with excellent old style...

Awesome location in a charming little city. Very conveniently located in the perfect spot to check out the history of this great little southern town with a LOT of history. Also great location for nightlife/restaurants which were way better than we expected. Staff/hospitality were awesome. You definitely get your money's worth--and then some--when you stay here. Would highly recommend to...
