We just completed a trip to the Richard Johnston Inn with my daughter, her husband, and our granddaughter to celebrate my daughter turning 30. We would HIGHLY recommend this inn. The location is absolutely perfect. Easy walking distance to all the shops and restaurants of historic downtown Fredericksburg. However, the inn itself is so nice you may not want to... More

My husband and I just spent a week at the Richard Johnson Inn, for our Summer Vacation, we were looking for a place that was near the Civil War site. The location was perfect, it is near everything, and when done with a long day of site seeing, we came back to private parking, and was able to walk to... More

Lovely place, very clean. We stayed in the Virginian room, which was beautifully decorated in a red, white and blue theme with an old style high bed. There was complimentary brandy and chocolates in the room. Free parking at the back of the property. The hosts were very friendly. If you have any dietary requirements for breakfast, remember to tell... More

I checked the Marriott, it looked fine. I saw the Richard Johnston sign that said "walk-ins welcome". I went in, the clerk on duty understood my travel needs. She gave me a rate without breakfast and a room with excellent privacy and access for an early departure. The room was lovely and comfortable, The location had excellent proximity to shops... More

Several of us stayed here two nights for a weddings. It was amazing! The rooms were beautiful and breakfast was amazing! The staff was very helpful. It was just a short walk to the wedding venue. The parking lot in the back was a plus!

We had never stayed at the Richard Johnston Inn before and loved it. The Frejus room was beautiful, well equipped and comfortable. Everyone at the Inn was super nice and helpful. It was well worth the money even for such a small trip.

The Richard Johnson Inn was another delightful find. It is located right in the heart of the historic area of Fredericksburg which made for some lovely afternoon or evening walks to explore the town, pop into the charming shops, and stroll to dinner. Unbeknownst to us, the inn’s office closes at 6 p.m. The innkeeper called us about five minutes... More

Had a one night stay that was wonderful. Cheryl the Innkeeper was very nice and breakfast was delicious. Two hundred forty year old home was beautiful and historic. Better rates and better than the comforts of home than any hotel in the area. I very highly recommend it. Thanks to Cheryl's staff as well!
