Everything as per their website - great place to stay. Short walk to the Boston rail transit and also many restaurants and a couple of bars. Room and amenities were spot on Could have overloaded on the free cakes and beverages which were lovingly home made - even the butter. A great start to our USA adventure - retirement holiday... We had a great stay in the Beech Tree. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made some delicious cakes and snacks during the day. The b&b is in a good position, just a short walk to the nearest tram stop that runs into downtown Boston. It's a quiet area. Can also walk to Brookline shops and restaurants. Really... More

You never know what you are going to fall into with B&B's and with us never been to Boston before, we really weren't sure !! But, this place was amazing. A beautiful Victorian Style House - nicely furnished, well kept and so very comfortable. We stayed in Room 10 on the 3rd floor which was absolutely darling, and made ourselves... More

We recently stayed four nights in this delightful B&B in the Boston suburb of Brookline. True to its website, everything here is just as the pictures suggest. Janette, who runs the business and bakes all the goodies left ready for guests 24/7 in the kitchen, could not have been kinder or more helpful. She responded immediately to every query with... More

Our first night was in the Grand Parlor, which was pretty fancy. We had to change rooms for the rest of our stay as that room had been pre-booked before we made our reservation. Our subsequent nights were in the Gable Room on the third floor. It was less costly and had a private bath across the hall, but it... More

The Beech Tree Inn is the sort of place you don't want people to know about so that you can have it all to yourself. Located a 5-minute walk from Beacon Street and 10 minutes from Coolidge Corner, it is beautiful on the outside like all the other renovated grand houses in Brookline. The inside is just as delightful. One... More

We stayed the weekend before the Boston Marathon. We were pleased to find such comfortable and reasonably priced lodging in the Brookline district of Boston, close to the Coolidge Corner neighborhood shops. Off-street parking for our car was available behind the Inn. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast choices of cold cereals, hard-boiled eggs, fruit cups, juices, teas/coffee, and choices... More

This is a great place to stay. The decor is old fashioned Victorian English, with period furniture, wallpapers, pictures etc. But there are all the modern appliances and conveniences, and the owner goes way beyond the usual B&B with a tempting array of homemade cakes, cookies, etc available at all times, and a splendid array of teas and coffee. She... More

Based on the previous reviews we chose the Beech Tree Inn for a week's stay. The Inn is accessible from the airport via the Blue T connecting to the Green T lines with a two block walk. It is close to many good restaurants, grocery store, post office, etc. Janette is the owner/manager who does an outstanding job of making... More

We have stayed at the Beech Tree Inn many times. It is always comfortable and welcoming especially when you open the door to encounter the wonderful smells of home baking. The breakfasts are wonderful and there are always little snacks available during the day. The rooms are comfortable and homey; the inn-keeper Janette makes everyone's visit very pleasant. Located in... More
