My wife and stayed at Longwood between 11th & 25th August 2011. During our stay the management were very accommodating allowing us to leave unwanted suitcases during a three day trip to New York after which we returned to Longwood to complete our stay. The 'honesty' system that operates for storing food and drink is unreliable with 12 beers and...

I stayed here for 2 nights with my wife and children. The room was large enough for all of us and we had one queen, one single, and they prepared a futon for us as well. The room was clean, nicely decorated and overlooked the street, which wasn't that noisy. The bathroom was large, had a tub, and was clean...

Just 15 minutes by T to central Boston, 5 minute walk to Brookline's bustling Coolidge Corner. This comfy Victorian has laid-back charm. The kitchen policy a major plus for solo or budget-oriented travellers: well-stocked with quality appliances and coffee brewing in the morning. Loved making own bfast and eating it on the lovely back porch. The rooms are comfortable and...

The Longwood Inn is conveniently situated near a couple of "T" stops, shops and restaurants, a Trader Joe's, and is right next to a park where my son loved to play. In addition to the excellent location, the Longwood Inn's staff members took great care of us. With a nice kitchen, laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor seating and tables, this...

We were looking for a place in the Boston area, where we could park for free, close to public transportation, without costing a lot. The Longwood Inn exceeded our expectations, being three blocks from Coolidge Corner in a quiet neighborhood. Our only issue was our room in the basement seemed to collect heat from the laundry room and the AC...

The building itself is very unique on the inside and we enjoyed looking around at its different areas. There is free parking in the back and for Boston...

We ( a senior couple from Vienna/Austria) have spent an extended weekend in this oldfashioned house which is however kept in good shape with perfectly and tastefully renovated rooms. Helpfull: a common kitchen with ample fridge space. Very friendly staff. Conveniently located near Brookline center and T-access to downtown Bosaton.

We were in Boston for a Medical school reunion. The Inn, a charming mansion, was within walking distance of Harvard Medical School. The staff was very helpful, our room was large and comfortable, and the access to a refrigerator and free parking were a real plus. We would return to the Inn if we were to visit anywhere in the...

I stayed one night (see later…) at the Longwood Inn, because this was the only Inn in central Brookline that had a vacancy. Unfortunately, I know now why… First, when I wrote an email to them, they didn't answer for a few days (6 other inns in Brookline responded within hours). I made a transatlantic call to the inn, and...

1. When booked, reservation for one night was repeated back to him, which he confirmed. 2. When he checked in, the manager again confirmed it was for one night, which he agreed to. 3. The next day when he wanted to stay for longer and was informed we did not have a room, he began swearing at the manager, and...
