We stayed at the Heathman Lodge the weekend of April 29-May 1, 2022, which is the third of fourth time we have stayed there. And I can honestly say that every time has been a joy. The staff is consistently excellent - friendly, helpful, accurate. The rooms are pleasant - clean, well taken care of - with everything we needed. We spent much more for a room in another town at a high-priced hotel several weeks ago, and they did not have daily housekeeping. But the Heathman Lodge does! We were there for a conference, and the servers were equally good. They were present, but not hovering; watchful but not over-anxious. I had the salmon for my lunch meal, and it was cooked to perfection. The meeting rooms were comfortable and for our conference, they worked well. Hudson’s Restaurant was also great. I had one of the best omelets ever on Sunday morning, and although I did not eat all of the potatoes (not exactly on my diet), they were delicious, too. We have paid much more for much less at other hotels . . . We highly recommend the Heathman Lodge, because it consistently matches and exceeds many other hotels!…
We always stay at the Heathman Lodge when ever we are headed down south. We love the lodge atmosphere. Rooms were clean bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Restaurant on site which makes it nice. The food is excellent and staff is very friendly.
Returned to this property after a seven year absence. Booked a standard room for five nights. Experienced deterioration in both the facilities and services. Specifically: Overall a worn appearance of hallways and entrances. Room & bathroom were clean and spacious but furnishings were dated. Bed linen was threadbare, mattresses were uncomfortable, curtains were dingy and two of three lamps didn’t work. Requested 4x repair of lamps before being replaced on the final day. Provided a token credit for the inconvenience on checking out.
The Heathman is a family go-to for relaxation. My daughter and I had a great time on our stay- cation! The room was great! I do wish the restaurant did not change their happy hour to be so limited, but otherwise, it was great!
I stayed at the Heathman Lodge as part of a conference I was attending. The staff was friendly, the food was great, the facility was very comfortable. The not so great part: my room was dirty, the sheets hadn't been changed, there was pubic hair and smeared makeup, no hand soap or any other amenities in the room. I even found jelly beans on the floor. I went to the front desk and they assured me they'd have the room checked. I got a call the room was ready, I returned to find the sheets hadn't been changed, and they left one tiny bar of soap for shower and hands for 2 days. I called back to the desk and was told they sheets were changed and what I thought was hair was the blanket on the bed, I know what hair looks like. Gross!! Would not recommend sleeping here.
Probably the best hotel in the Vancouver area. A hunting lodge style hotel with a decent restaurant and close to everything. We go here predominantly for the restaurant on holidays like Christmas, Mother's Day and that sort of thing. There aren't a whole lot of things to choose in Vancouver and this seems to be one of the better
Every time I'm in the area I stay at the Heathman. It's charming and has great service but also isn't out of the way. One turn and you are around plenty of shopping and dining. The service is really good and their amenities are also great. We had a few minor issues in the room such as needing new batteries for the TV remote and they were prompt at addressing issues. The fitness center is small but well taken care of and clean, as are the pool and sauna areas. We did not dine at the restaurant as we wanted some cheaper food options but there is food onsite if that's your thing. I also noticed they have several EV chargers in the parking lot. I would recommend staying here over anywhere else in the area. The rates at the time of year were comparable with other hotels but you get a better experience and more of a hotel, rather than motel feel.…
We have stayed here 4 or 5 times and we are sorry to say it is no longer the facility it was. Check in staff was rude and robotic. We waited almost an hour in the lobby for our room listening to how they spoke to other people. 2 people called down to lobby after checking in to complain about their rooms. Staff was completely unconcerned. Finally about 430 I asked again and was told our room still wasn’t ready. Offered to take any available room. Got to this room and the towel bar was broken and laying in the bathroom sink. Our towels were on the toilet tank. The bathroom faucet was slimy, there was dirt on bathroom floor, food left on desk and the hallways were a mess. So sorry to see our favorite place take such a downturn. Poor form! Sent message to management and have never heard back.…
Spent six nights here in March 2022. The reception at the front desk was poor and unfriendly. The room was dark was unappealing in that the sheets looked used and worn and the wall by the desk had holes where something was removed but not repaired. If you wanted daily maid service you had to ask for it. The pool area had a terrible smell of chlorine and the sauna was a complete disaster of rundown and begging for a renovation.
The lodge is big and beautiful. The lobby is spacious and there is plenty of cozy seating to just sit and chat. The room was comfortable, the bed was good and the staff was very helpful and nice. We didn’t use the equipment room, pool or jacuzzi. The restaurant was lovely but the only thing I had was toast so I can’t really review the food. However, the bread did taste home made and sliced thick so that was a good sign. I would recommend this lodge. It was economical and very pleasant.
