Excellent foyer, good restaurant. Room good but coffee machine didn’t work and mugs dirty. I was told coffee machine would be checked but it didn’t happen. Sad to say really upsetting letdown was reception attitude, sneering and dismissive when I checked in and when I later asked questions. There was a younger staffer on the desk one time who was pleasant and helpful.
The room smells like dog poop and cigars. Housekeeping is lousy, the room is dusty and smells. There are NO USB ports, like what year is this anyway? Internet sucks bad! Good luck trying to figure out the TV, just call the front desk but use speaker phone because the receiver doesn’t work. The bed has some funky low budget memory foam pad on top that is lumpy and very uncomfortable. Since I'm on a business trip I got a room on the "business level" which literally means nothing and that's what the front desk told me when I inquired. The internet is spotty making it impossible to do work online or watch TV. And lastly, the exterior doors on the sides in the dark DO NOT lock at night and yes it's by the mall and is a sketchy area. This place used to be a really nice place to stay, not so much anymore. On 1 positive note, the restaurant has great food but costs a fortune, no discount for guests either. Careful in the parking lot walking through piles of wet leaves they need to clean up that we’re there all 3 days.…
Good stay. Decent location. Good service. Relatively clean rooms, though there was a cocktail straw on my floor. Rooms are somewhat dated with dark lighting, which might be fine depending on personal preference. The restaurant was very nice. Delicious food, decent prices, and cordial service. Overall a good but not amazing stay.
Very clean and well maintained. Competent, friendly staff. Very large rooms. Decent soundproofing so not too much noise heard from other rooms. Lodgy feel wirh logs and rough sewn wood accents. Nice lobby with cool staircase. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant, Hudsons, but it looked good. Will try next.
My experience was not a good one as, after 3 calls over 4 days they refused to "refresh" the room. For the entire period we had no fresh towels, and no coffee (after the first day). Very poor service and I will not be staying there in the future and not recommending the hotel to any of my friends.
We were told to evacuate our home immediately due to a sudden increase in a forest fire, so we called the Heathman Lodge to see if they had any rooms available. They quickly booked a room for us for two nights at a great rate. We were able to check in early and were also able to extend our reservation, as needed, until we were allowed to return to our home. We had delicious dinners at Hudsons and our room was quiet and comfortable.
The hotel was not clean or updated. There were strings on the shower floor left from? The price quoted me was $159. I was charged $198 I am sure that you can find a better hotel that is cheaper in the area.
It was very hard to find where the entrance to check in was. The pull through typically used for unloading luggage and check in was turned into restaurant seating and no signs (besides a pine cone, leaf symbol, and arrow, that I had no idea what it meant) was visible. I drove in and out of the parking lot multiple times and tried a key access only door before finally deciding to ask the restaurant where I check in at. Walked in and found the check in desk. Online made it sound like there were extra perks for the 4th floor as well as the emails I received, but was told at check in there was no difference besides it being more quiet. The elevators were very creaky and made me nervous every time I got in them. Decided to try the hot tub out for some relaxation and found it anything but relaxing. The smell of chlorine was extremely strong. There were about 10 kids in the pool and one adult lounging in a chair. The beach balls and styrofoam noodles they were playing with were used more in attacking each other. They were cannon balling into the pool and being extremely loud and rowdy. There were a couple with their daughter in the hot tub when I got in complaining about the lack of supervision and rowdiness they haven’t even seen at water parks. Then another gentleman came in with his roughly six year old daughter and said the pool has been like this the past few nights and gets worse every night. His daughter wanted to go in the pool and he reluctantly took her to the shallow end. He has to tell the kids multiple times to stay away from her after bumping into her and hitting her accidentally multiple times. I made it about 20 minutes with being splashed and the constant screaming before I decided no one was going to put a stop to the behavior. I rinsed off, wrapped in a towel and proceeded to walk past the diners to the elevators. It seemed like the restaurant was more of a focus rather than the hotel experience. Who puts the exit from the pool to the elevators through a dining area? The room itself was nice and I enjoyed a very comfortable mattress once the noise of the neighboring guests quieted around 1 am. We stayed at 4 different hotels during my week trip to OR/WA and with the price and the way this hotel was advertised, I thought this hotel would be the best one of our trip. Excited to spoil ourselves a bit by staying there, it is not what it was advertised to be. Will not stay here again.…
We stayed at the Heathman Lodge the weekend of April 29-May 1, 2022, which is the third of fourth time we have stayed there. And I can honestly say that every time has been a joy. The staff is consistently excellent - friendly, helpful, accurate. The rooms are pleasant - clean, well taken care of - with everything we needed. We spent much more for a room in another town at a high-priced hotel several weeks ago, and they did not have daily housekeeping. But the Heathman Lodge does! We were there for a conference, and the servers were equally good. They were present, but not hovering; watchful but not over-anxious. I had the salmon for my lunch meal, and it was cooked to perfection. The meeting rooms were comfortable and for our conference, they worked well. Hudson’s Restaurant was also great. I had one of the best omelets ever on Sunday morning, and although I did not eat all of the potatoes (not exactly on my diet), they were delicious, too. We have paid much more for much less at other hotels . . . We highly recommend the Heathman Lodge, because it consistently matches and exceeds many other hotels!…
We always stay at the Heathman Lodge when ever we are headed down south. We love the lodge atmosphere. Rooms were clean bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Restaurant on site which makes it nice. The food is excellent and staff is very friendly.
