The Heathman Lodge is attractive to look at, as it is designed to look like a lodge. My wife and I recently stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room to the point that I told the front desk. The coffee table in front of the couch still had sesame seeds on it from the last guest, the bedside table was sticky, there was a candy wrapper on the floor, and someone else's hair was in the sink. It appeared as if the housekeeping staff made only a cursory effort to clean the room. When we did not receive any fresh towels on the second day, we placed our spent towels outside the room. They were eventually picked up, but without so much as a knock on the door to see if we needed fresh towels. We had to call housekeeping to get fresh towels. Being adjacent to a freeway there is some traffic noise, but only the motorcycles passing by were a distraction. It is a shame that we had a poor experience, as the hotel is well situated to local restaurants and nearby Fort Vancouver.

We loved our three night stay at the Heathman Lodge! The room was clean and well -appointed. The bed was comfortable, and we especially loved that we could open the windows a bit. We also love the decor and architectural structure of the lobby, that felt somewhat like the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite. We enjoyed the ambiance of the outside eating area. The food was great though a bit on the expensive side. Although the hotel is next to a busy freeway, you almost forget that the moment you enter this property. We will be back!

We’ve stayed here with our dog several times, lots of problems each time we stay there. There is the poorest area ever to bring your dog to poop at and never any doggie bags there. Indoor hallways dirty. Need vacuuming and mopping badly. Outside trash bins never get emptied! Refrigerator in our room was leaking water onto our floor as we checked in. Last time there our bed frame was broken and our phone didn’t work at all; that time they did comped us a very nice junior suite. We feel like this hotel focuses attention on its restaurant which is very busy with fairly high prices, somewhat limited menu , but the food is good but not outstanding. Management needs to step up or step in to help, it’s kind of sad such an interesting looking place keeps needing attention,

Terrible hotel. Pulled up and thought this was going to be a great visit. Inside is NOT cared for like outside. Pulled back our blankets to find filth (looked like fecal matter and blood) on our sheets. Decorative blanket on end of bed was covered in dog hair. Front desk was no help.

We were very pleased with the room. Comfortable and clean. Staff was nice and helpful. It has that lodge look and feel even though it is next to a fairly busy area. That aspect is nice as there are several restaurant options literally within walking distance. My only complaint was trying to find the front desk to check in. While sitting outside or going to our car, two other couples asked how to get to the front desk, with one of them commenting on poor signage. With that I must agree. Otherwise I would def. stay here again.
