Worst stay I have ever experienced. Management is inconsiderate and doesn’t have the foresight or is greedy and didn’t SHUT sections off for remodeling. As a guest you are expected to pay normal rates while being inconvenienced by constant construction. I was not informed about the pending remodel at the time of checking in!!!!

In front of the property are two different signs, one that was dated and dingy advertising El Rancho Motel and a newer, nicer sign advertising El Rancho Hotel. We, apparently, were put into one of the Motel rooms (in a separate building from the main hotel) and they were as dated and dingy as the sign out front. The rooms were pet friendly, which was great, but our dog exposed the fact the carpet had not been vacuumed in a while. She went around the room putting all kinds of floor bits/crumbs in her mouth (including a pill of some sort), which was unpleasant on many levels. I would describe the room as shoddy and dark with a stale smoke smell. The door between the bath area and main room was falling down, and the toiletries were mis-matched as if was a collection of items left behind by other guests. The shower was like a sandblaster, and sensitive bits were at risk of being shorn off if they made full contact with the aggressive stream. On the plus side, staff was nice. Overall, the room, at almost $100, was way overpriced. Regardless, we would not stay here again.

Clean very aged property with a really nice brewery attached. Unfortunately the staff at the front desk has been in a sellers market for years and is abrupt and aggressive. Not wholly unprofessional, but not great.

We stayed here while on a road trip this summer with our 2 dogs. We were not able to stay in the main remodeled section because we had our dogs with us so we didn’t get to see the newer rooms but our room was comfortable and clean. No extra fee for the dogs which was a great benefit. However at over $100 for the night it is probably the most expensive “cheap motel” room I’ve paid for. The front desk staff and other motel folks we met were super friendly and helpful.
