The location is great for cruising the riverfront, or walking through the historic district. It, itself has a long history but has been nicely redone. Make sure you ask for a room with a refrigerator if you need one-ours did not have one. The parking situation was a bit of a challenge since you must self-park in one of the...

Thank you for your kind review. We're happy to know you enjoyed our hotel and our unsurpassed location There definitely is limited parking in the Historic District, however we are thankful our city's preservation foundation protects our beautiful buildings from being replaced by more parking garages. We pay the city of Savannah close to $10,000 per month in order to...

My daughter and I stayed here as when we toured Savannah School of Art and Design (SCAD). We booked on Expedia, which I seldom do because you generally get the least desirable rooms. This may have still been the case here, but we absolutely loved the room we had. In the 5th floor wing Rooms 501-515 you are in the...

Thank you for your very interesting review! We're please you enjoyed our unique hotel. Our hotel consists of two separate buildings, built 200 years ago (1817) as cotton warehouses. There were never "servant's quarters" nor "men's and women's quarters" in either of the two buildings. The building you and your daughter stayed in was converted in the 1920's into law...

My sister and I spent a weekend in early April 2017 at River Street Inn and really enjoyed it. The hotel is full of great vintage furnishings and funky places. We thought the room was very nice, and even had a little balcony overlooking the river. The wine and nibbles from 5-7pm were most appreciated, and we enjoyed those before...

Thank you for your review. We're happy to know you enjoyed our hotel, location and staff. Our entire Historic District is only, roughly one square mile, with the concentration of the main attractions comprising of just a few blocks. We are such a popular destination, indeed traffic can be quite congested during special events. We hope traffic won't keep you...

The Inn is in a prime location because you can walk to most all attractions and restaurants in 15 minutes. Access to river street is just an elevator ride down. The people working there are just so accommodating and are always trying to help you in any way they can. The room was comfortable with a direct view of the...

Thank you for your kind review. We're happy you enjoyed our hotel, location and staff. Our 200 year old building was constructed of thick, heavy brick, ballast and cobble stones that hinder the penetration of wifi connections in certain areas of the hotel. We are indeed aware of the issue and continue to work with various providers in an attempt...

Great hotel. Beautifully appointed, located in restored warehouses on River Street. Very helpful and congenial staff. Located in the heart of the historic disctrict of old Savannah. My stay was for one night only. The TV didn't work, the bath/shower faucet was not working properly, the bedroom clock was not plugged in. The rooms were very clean and spacious but...

Spent 3 nights here at the end of February 2017. Great staff who were friendly and knowledgeable. Most helpful and courteous. Our room was not in the main area where reception is located but it was a fun little walk through the halls to find it. These restored OLD buildings are full of charm and character and LOTS of hallways!!...

We're so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, converting a 200 year old cotton warehouse into a hotel has provided some interesting quirks, but that's what makes us unique! We hope to welcome you back again soon!

I enjoy a new hotel, but when in Savannah, stay in History! The River St Inn is so fun, convenient to everything and reasonably priced! Free happy hour daily, staff was very nice, rooms comfy, close to several restaurants that were perfect for our visit. I'd recommend it!

Fun to have a river view to watch the traffic and boats, but bed is less than comfortable and bathroom is old and in need of deep cleaning. Lack of wifi signal in first assigned room led to a room change/upgrade, which we appreciated.

Thank you for your review. We just replaced all of our bedding including, mattresses and box springs, we're sorry you weren't comfortable. Great location, views, and service. Right on River Street with easy access to shopping restaurants, bars, and city tours. Enjoy sitting in a rocking chair on the porch overlooking the river for complimentary champagne and appetizers $20 to park--not so great.

Thank you for your review. We're happy to know you enjoyed our unsurpassed location and our nightly welcome reception featuring complimentary wine, champagne and hors d' oeuvres.
