The hotel is incredible, like staying in a piece of history! Rooms are perfect, beds are comfortable. The staff was helpful and amazing! The location is in the center of everything! When returning to Savannah I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
I love this Inn!!! This inn is located in a relatively safe area (don’t walk too far away because it gets kinda sketchy the farther you get from the river front). The Building is just beautiful. The architecture is unique! I really loved the little alcoves they created by the elevator, overlooking the ocean. My bedroom was clean and spacious, complete with basic amenities (soap, towels, hairdryers). I loved the faux balconies. I just wish I could actually go into the balcony attached to my room, rather than have a fake door. The parking was valet parking only (and a bit pricey) but I parked across the street in the public parking garage (Brian Garage), so it was cheaper, and it only took 2 min to walk to reception from the garage. Location was riverfront with access to the river, so I really enjoyed the view from the hotel. The highlight of my stay was the Manager’s Reception (5 pm to 7 pm) which comes with free cocktails and appetizers. My husband and and I really loved our bartender, MJ! She made the best cocktails (and she was generous with the alcohol), and she was so awesome with the guests that came by! I think it’s safe to say, we all loved MJ! It was really great to meet other guests and make new friends. My favorite cocktail was the Rum punch (it literally packs a punch!!!). Overall, I really recommend this Inn if you are visiting Savannah, Georgia!…
We came to Savannah to celebrate my birthday. We stayed in the river view two room suite. Very pretty, great view, and clean. They were very accommodating. We arrived early and they let us check in to one of our two rooms that was ready. They brought our luggage to our room. They called us when our 2nd room was ready, which was still early. The front desk was informative. They made sure we were aware of all discounts available and where everything was located. The website said they had a Manager’s Reception from Mon-Sat from 5-6:30. I arrived on Sunday and was surprised to find out they had it everyday (including Sunday) from 5-7. I like to take advantage of these kinds of perks, so of course we went. MJ was our bartender. She was so much fun! Great sense of humor. She played trivia with prizes and made it so much fun. She gave us do’s and don’ts for the area, you won’t want to miss that. She served beer, wine, alcohol and two of her special punches, which she gave us the recipe for. The food consisted of shrimp, chicken wings, cheese, crackers, chips & salsa, beef sausage, and a Greek Quinoa Salad, which she made herself and gave us the recipe for as well. She had a way of getting everyone talking to each other. We made friends with a couple from Knoxville TN who was there to celebrate a birthday as well. We met each night after that at the reception and looking forward to when they visit our area, we plan to get together. MJ only works Sunday and Monday and I was very disappointed on Tuesday, as the person that would normally have worked couldn’t, and we had a new bartender who hadn’t done it before. I’m so glad we had time with MJ and TONY on Monday night, that was even more fun than Sunday. MJ might remember who we are as we sat at TONY’s table (I’ll say no more 😉). MJ really made our stay memorable. Hopefully you will get a chance to meet MJ during your stay. I can’t say enough about her. We loved MJ. We are already talking about returning to Savannah as 3 days was not nearly enough time to explore this beautiful city. There is no doubt where we plan to stay.…
This is a beautiful hotel and they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and special. The little extras that are included (coffee in the am, candy in the pm, newspapers, booking tours for you, etc) just make your stay that much nicer. The evening cocktail hour with Val is not to be missed! She is a true entertainer and a divine gift to all who cross her path.
Nicole and Freda graciously upgraded our room to a suite, which was perfect as my husband had to work. I’ve stayed here before and always loved it. The Managers Reception each night is a great added touch. The only thing that was really annoying was someone came and knocked on our door at ten minutes to 11 to ask if we were leaving or staying. We explained that we were finishing up and checking out at 11. This came after housekeeping came in twice before that. We definitely felt like we were being rushed out the door. I get it’s the weekend and you need to turn over rooms, but it was a little aggressive for my taste. Again, outside of that this is my favorite hotel in Savannah.
This was our first trip to the area and it was a success. The hotel is quite unique and we enjoyed what it had to offer. It is in a great location, very nice staff, clean and unique rooms, goodies throughout the day, and at a fair rate. I would have liked a river view but on a weekend or in season it might be rowdy because of the bars below; however, for some this would be a draw.
From the start, this hotel did not disappoint. The staff was very caring and attentive. MJ at the manager’s reception was welcoming, friendly, funny, and generous with her tips and advice. I will definitely be back!
Lovely, quaint and unique hotel right in the middle of River St. Room was roomy and had an amazing view. All the amenities you need and restaurants, bars and shops all around you. Couldn’t have asked for more!
Views and staff were great. Happy hour was a bonus. Ricardo was great at taking care of us. Floors were not clean and daily $25/ day " destination fee" unknown to us before we booked. Free candy and coffee.
We had an awesome stay at River Street Inn. The staff was great and the place was historic and clean. Loved the amenities and location next to the river. We especially had a great experience with valet. Ricky Ricardo went above and beyond helping us and delivered service with a big smile that was contagious! We are looking forward to staying here again and I hope to see Ricky again!
