The Planters Inn delivers as advertised - old but renovated and modernized...elegant and very comfortable...and perfect for couples and families alike. Once we checked in (two rooms - a couple in one, father and son in the other), we never heard, nor saw any other guests...and the Inn was sold out that particular evening. The walls are soundproof and the...

This fantastic historical Inn was a wonderful change from the everyday hotel that most people stay in. The ambiance, the history, the location, amenities, the cleanliness and the staff were excellent. Each evening they provide a time for the guests to share their stories and backgrounds while having a glass of wine. We met quite a few of the guests...

Stayed 2 nights over Valentines Day and it was great. Located within walking distance of everything. Patrick was awesome. The only thing I could recommend is that the breakfast on the first morning was a disappointment....containers were empty (no eggs, meat or sausage gravy). Seemed like they were not prepared for the number of people. The second morning everything was...

Nice intimate hotel with a great location. Everything that we were interested in was more than a half hour walk. The staff goes out of their way to make everything enjoyable. Clean facilities and surroundings. The breakfast was satisfying and tasty. If you don't need a pool or exercise room and are just visiting to relax and sight see, I...

This place is a gem--a historic house on one of Savannah's iconic squares. The service is outstanding--from the valet parking, to the friendly desk service, to the cleanliness of the rooms, to the complimentary wine and cheese happy hour. The concierge, Karen, who runs the happy hour, was cheerful and although we didn't need help with activities (we live nearby),...

Arrived late after a 12 hour drive and received warm greeting from staff, valet and Karen, the concierge. Located in historical district and easy walking to multiple interesting sites. Continental breakfast did include hot oatmeal/grits, hot eggs and a breakfast meat. The ladies maintaining the breakfast were wonderful. Decor is lovely, hotel is clean. Linens and bedding very comfortable. The...

Came here to celebrate Valentine's and everything is great. Service is excellent too. Would definitely come back. Noted issue with a light fixture and it was fixed quickly. Perfect location near River Stereet and many restaurants.

We stayed three nights at Valentines Day and if was great. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Free breakfast had a lot of choices and convenient hours. Location is perfect for tours and a hop, skip, and jump to River St. Guest services were very accomodating. We would recommend the valet parking. We will definitely stay here again!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
To sleep in the epicenter of the city's beautiful historic district, book some time here, on Reynolds Square. The Planters Inn offers elegant rooms, great service, and a jovial wine and cheese reception where people linger each afternoon. For a view, ask about one of the rooms overlooking Reynolds Square Park. Better yet, step outside the inn and get lost among the azaleas and architecture. Just make it back for your dose of wine and cheese. ... more   less
