While I had higher expectations for a Kimpton property, overall our stay was nice. I was disappointed that there was no one available to help with our bags upon our arrival. We were told we had to just get lucky and find a bell cart/hope that someone returned one. We ended up waiting for over an hour to get one and be able to bring out luggage up to the room. The woman at the front desk was very nice but there was nothing she could do to help us with the situation. We were traveling with 2 small children and this was a big inconvenience as my husband had to self park and deal with that on his own. The room was clean but not well-maintained and needed a lot of repairs. The bathroom was small and uncomfortable for a family of 4. I wasn't aware at the time of booking that this was a pet-friendly property or how many dogs there would be - there were a lot! It wasn't too much of a bother but there was a lot of barking so that's something to take into consideration. The restaurant and bar/social hour is very nice and overall we had a nice time but I wouldn't say that I would stay there again.

Although this hotel is very convenient when traveling with your family pets, my room was dirty. The staff did minimal dusting and the bathroom floors were dirty. The room also smelled bad from all the animals. I get it that when you open your hotel to pets that the pets are going to have accidents and leave a lot of hair behind, but come on, learn to clean the rooms, after all, we are charged a fee to have our pets there. When I complained to the front desk, they said they would send someone to the room. That never happened.

I spent a night here with my wife and our pup on a road trip from NY to FL and boy am I glad we did. Our room (341) seemed to be one of the best in the house - top floor on the edge of the property with a balcony overlooking the pool and adjacent sidewalk with a tree directly overhead, dangling Spanish moss and all. Spacious, elegant room with a nice oversized luxurious bathroom. Don't listen to the haters complaining about cleanliness; this hotel went above and beyond to make us feel safe, welcomed and comfortable. During a pandemic. With a hound dog. Thank you, Kimpton Brice!

I’ve stayed at this hotel on previous trips so when it came to selecting a hotel for my first hotel stay since the Pandemic began, Kimpton and the Brice Hotel was a no brainer. After experiencing a lack of both customer service and compliance with Covid protocols I really wish I had better researched and read recent reviews of how this hotel had been handling Covid. We arrived to find a crowded lobby with no front desk support or greeters to welcome guests, assist with baggage, or provide any instructions. I had a dog and luggage that I was unable to carry in one trip and received blank stares when I asked for a luggage cart. If fact, when I finally found a hotel employee they told me that “If there are none out front, we don’t have any”. Oddly, we were also told that we could only receive 1 key for the suite we booked for 3 people because “the hotel is at full occupancy we can’t give a second key”. That’s an excuse I’ve never heard before. We got into the room and immediately noticed that it had not been properly cleaned or disinfected. There was a dirty cup under the media cabinet and a leftover salad from a previous occupant left in the refrigerator. We had asked in advance for the pullout couch to be made, it was not and there were not any linens provided. After several tries calling guest services from the room, we went downstairs to the desk to report the cleanliness issue in the room and to request linens for the sofa bed. To their credit the front desk was apologetic that the room was not clean and offered to have a staff wipe down the refrigerator. We declined as we did not feel comfortable with other people in the room due to COVID. We were told again that because of the full occupancy we would have to wait for linens from another room to be cleaned. This was surprising given it was after 9pm at this point. We finally received sheets and an old, stained blanket that looked like it was ready to retire. The hotel did later send up a bottle of wine and snacks, but it was so late and with a long drive ahead of us the next day, all we really wanted was a restful night. While I understand that the hotel was most likely short staffed, it is not an excuse for the lack of cleanliness and absence of customer service. We had put our trust in the Kimpton brand as I had done in the past and it did not deliver.

Let me begin by saying we have been loyal Kimpton customers for +-8 years. We happened upon the company in Savanah at the Brice hotel roughly 8 years ago. We had a great time there with the family. The staff were kind and helpful and the hotel was nice. It was so enjoyable we ve stayed at kimpton hotels whenever possible. So when we decided to drive to our family home in Florida we naturally booked kimpton hotels. We left PA and stayed 1st in Asheville at the Arras hotel. We found the staff and property to be great, i would love to visit again. We left Asheville and had reservations at the Brice, which we were really excited to revisit. Savanah is a great place to sight see and relax. We arrived early evening, to the front of the hotel which was very low let with a number of facade and marque lights out. As we entered people came and went. I immediately noticed the wood floors were in dire need of refinishing. I continued to the front desk which of course had plexiglass on it (undersrandable due to covid) paint nicked and chipped everywhere as well as the white bookcases in the lobby. We were greeted kindly and given out key card and directed to our room. We took the elevqtor to the 3 floor and upon exiting into the hall notice how dirty the place really was. The carpet floors were disguesting, as if they hadn been vacuumed in a weeks. Spill stains on the walls and chipped paint everywhere. We cringed and walked to our room. We entered to find. More dirty floors, splashed on the walls and mold on the ceilings. We took a few minutes to decide how to handle the situation considering we drove almost 6 hours to stay there. We took a trip to the front desk to make our opinion known. We were assisted by another front desk person who apologized without emotion. We asked if the was an older part of the hotel and were told all rooms were appointed the same. And we asked if we could be switched rooms. The gentleman offered another room 3 doors down which intern we asked to see. Another man who said he was maintenence then escorted us there. We entered to find it in similar condition as ours in addition to a half full tub, which was dripping and the stopper was closed (so much for the maintenance man i thought). We turned around and decided to find another place for the night. I ve been in the hospitality business for almost 20 years. In my opinion 1 of 2 things are happening here. The management is awful. And staff are performing at the very minimum level from housekeeping to front desk. Or the brand has decided to suck every bit of cash from the place neglecting attention and necessary upgrades. Either way i will never think of staying there again and maybe not a kimpton hotel again. I d at the least advise if you like a nice hotel to avoid this property. (Keep in mind i could only post 10 pics)
