After hours stuck in traffic we decided to call it. I looked on this app and saw the good rating - so we took a chance. So glad we did! They are pet friendly property ✅ Parking was the only reason I almost gave 4 stars. It’s off property and they have quite a few stipulations but we worked it out. So ✅ The restaurant is a satellite one as they are under construction. The food is up to par. We ordered the calamari mixto and the arugula salad. Both were fresh and delicious. Joey was friendly and knowledgeable. ✅ The room was a bit dated but albeit on the first floor it was quiet. We had a king view and it was spacious and inviting. Obviously post COVID amenities are scarce in the hotels but they did offer coffee in the room. They should offer more than just two bottles of water especially if you are making coffee. The bed was comfy. ✅ Front desk was very profesional - thank you Victoria for your assistance. The lobby area was quite busy. I would say dress to impress on weekends. Overall, this place was great. It definitely filled many of the checklist. The location was the best part. Great park to walk off dinner or walk the pooch. FYI, they are in the middle of a reno by 2024 it will be a resort destination. Get in now!!!

The hotel was amazing, close to everything with many historical monuments. Car service was excellent, our valet Jaydn did a great job bringing our car fast and in a careful way! Best part of the trip for sure. The service is amazing won’t regret it.

This is an excellent, full service hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was a superior one. It was a real convenience to be able to valet park and walk around Forsythe Park and down to the river front. Again, it was an excellent experience!

We were in Savannah for our annual girls trip. There are a lot of wonderful things about this hotel, but by far the best part was the amazing staff- literally everyone was really helpful and friendly, probably the best we have ever experienced. At check-in the receptionist was able to accommodate an upgrade, the concierge gave us great ideas to enjoy Savannah, and the front door attendants were always really nice. And that's just a few examples. The hotel itself is beautiful and expansive. If available, I would strongly recommend a park view room. I'm a light sleeper and was nervous about the first floor room- but surprisingly we did not hear much traffic noise at all. There are lovely spots on the grounds to sip on your complementary champagne each afternoon. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the complementary bike rentals- Savannah is very bikeable and walkable. The rooms have a good amount of space and the bathroom is large; housekeeping didn't replenish shampoo etc.- but that wasn't a big deal for us. The restaurant was delicious- we ate there for breakfast each day and dinner once. Plan to give yourself at least an hour at breakfast. We didn't use the pool as the water was a little chilly for the weather.

The hotel staff, every single one, was absolutely delightful! They always had a smile and a delightful hello. This experience reminded me of a "before COVID" stay. We will make this hotel our go to for every visit to Savannah

This is a beautiful property with lots of lovely amenities. Our room was luxurious and with the comfiest bed! The consierge was frustratingly ill-informed about the tours. I don’t recommend using this service. The hotel itself was really fabulous and we would definitely stay there again!

Attentive front desk staff and concierge. Shout out to Rory and Victoria! Room was clean, comfortable and luxurious. Really appreciated the soaking tub. Great location; beautiful park and grocery in walking distance. Reasonably price breakfast, dinner menu pricey. Bikes, car service, pool and bottled water additional charge of $42.00/day. Good vibe, great experience.

The hotel is comfortable and pleasantly situated on the park about 15 mins walk to the waterfront. The decor certainly avoids international hotel blandness but won’t be to everyone’s taste. Camp and dark with awful artwork. Our room was well equipped but over furnished for the size and again very dark.

This hotel is a mixed bag of things that are good, and quite a few that need work. I believe the management / ownership changed in the last year or so which may have had an effect on some of the things we found challenging - economizing? So here's what's good: The location is superb. Directly overlooking Forsyth Park which puts you slap bang in Savannah's Historic District. No need to drive or Uber - it's all walkable from here. The staff are professional and helpful - a nice bunch of people, happy to help. Food: The restaurant that services this hotel is called 700 Drayton. The food there is excellent and in fact one of the best meals we had in Savannah - despite it not being on the radar of best places to eat. This is also where you have breakfast when staying at the hotel - but be warned, even as a guest at the hotel, you need to make a reservation for breakfast. Rooms: Large, comfortable, and if you book it - views over Forsythe Park. Nice comfortable bed too. Bathrooms were challenging - more on that later. Free champagne: Every evening between 6 and 7pm in the lobby. A lovely way to kickstart the evening. OK so here's what needs work: The most irritating thing for us is that the key entry system is very antiquated. We stayed for three days and regularly had to go down to the front desk and have our keys reprogrammed so they would work, including at 10pm at night after returning from dinner. We similarly overheard other guests having to do the same. This hotel does not contain in-room safes. Bizarre considering the rating and the price. When we called down (thinking we had perhaps overlooked it) we were told there weren't any safes in the rooms, and if there were, they would not work? No more information was supplied. Housekeeping was patchy. One of our rooms wasn't cleaned at all one day, both of them were not cleaned by 5.30pm the next when we arrived home from a day of sightseeing and wanted to shower and get ready for dinner. The front desk told us they were busy and would get to it. By the time we went back up to our rooms they had been cleaned by 6.30pm. I appreciate a lot of hotels are doing optional housekeeping services these days which is a good idea and also better for the planet. This hotel still offers regular room service. The complimentary cosmetics (hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel) were tiny (especially if you have longer hair) and used up quickly - these were not replaced during our stay. By the time we left we were down to a small sliver of soap that remained in a mulchy patch in the corner of the shower. We had stayed in a three star hotel prior to that which offered large built in shampoo, conditioner and body wash (the kind fixed to the walls in the shower), and a small complimentary kit with ear buds, a shower cap, and body lotion. This hotel did not have any complimentary vanity supplies so we headed to Target to get cotton pads and ear buds. The bathroom set up was a big issue for me. The shower and toilet were enclosed in glass - so transparent. The toilet door also didn't seal properly. The entire bathroom was separated from the bedroom by curtains rather than a door. If the toilet was private the curtains would have been fine, or alternatively have a proper door between the bathroom and the room if you want the transparent toilet door option.

This kind of set up assumes an intimacy between the occupants they may not be comfortable with. While I don't mind seeing my husband in the shower, I don't care to see him or be seen by him on the toilet or heard on the toilet either. My teenage kids shared a room and they equally struggled with the lack of privacy the bathroom situation had on offer. The internet speed was glacial. You could not watch videos on YouTube or stream a movie at night, and my husband had to find a nearby coffee shop to do a zoom call for work. Again, like the aforementioned door key problem, this issue was acknowledged by the front desk. Wanted to love it but the issues felt incongruous with the price point. We are heading back to Savannah and will try another hotel.

Storie the valet was excellent and very helpful. The housekeeping staff did not clean my room unless I went down to the front desk to complain. That included the fact that they did not even put clean towels unless I specifically asked. It seems that they don’t clean the rooms or place towels and or coffee, water etc. unless you complain about it. The location was perfect and the area was very nice and safe. Being across the Forsyth Park was an added plus. The champagne at 5 PM was a nice touch.
