Having stayed frequently at another B & B in Savannah we decided it was time for a change. In reading other Trip Advisor reviews we chose the McMillan Inn and I am so glad we did. Eric and Melissa the host / owners are the epitome of Southern hospitality. They were on the premises every day and were constantly inquiring as to their guests comfort and was there anything they could do to make your stay in Savannah more enjoyable. We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room and it was immediately addressed by Eric himself. The Inn is perfectly located in the historic district - within easy walking /biking distance to everything Savannah. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast served every morning was divine. We've never had such amazing food in anywhere else we've stayed. The pool in the courtyard was the perfect place to cool off and meet new friends after a day of bike riding in the historic district. You can't go wrong by booking this property.…
The bed and breakfast was very clean and in a great location. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. They went out of their way to serve our breakfast early as we had to leave before scheduled time. We will definitely return on our next visit to Savannah.
Eric and Missy are great hosts . The Inn is beautifully decorated and we enjoyed all the different room themes. The pool area was very lovely to sit and relax. Breakfast is true Southern and was tasty. Get the Huntingdon room and look for the girl in a blue dress painting. We will definitely return!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The staff was very personal and welcoming. Being able to use the Savannah ride service enhanced our stay - and we did not have to move our vehicles once we were parked. The area around the McMillian is a beautiful walking area and just a few blocks from the park.
Adding to the glowing reviews already left for this inn. Incredible hospitality, perfectly maintained building, great location. We had a ground level room, which made it so nice to come and go as we pleased. Innkeepers and their staff take pride in what they have and what they do. We loved our trip to Savannah and our stay at the McMillan!
My wife and I spent three nights in the Forsyth room and found it very quiet and comfortable. The room and furnishings were consistent with the historic nature of the house but the best part was that the bathroom was modern - - two sinks and a walk in shower. We really found that to be the best of both worlds - old and new. The hosts were some of the most friendly people were have ever had the pleasure to stay with. The breakfasts were much larger and heavier than we are used to but very well prepared and tasty. We rarely needed to eat again until dinner. The location is great for exploring Savannah and the Inn truly felt like our home away from home. Highly recommend !!
Thank you so much for our wonderful experience staying at the McMillan inn! You made our stay wonderful and relaxing. We loved the kindness of the staff and it felt like a home away from home the whole week! The ladies that helped with cleaning and getting towels were so sweet and great to us the whole week! Thank you! We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you, The Sarratt’s
An absolutely fantastic place to stay rooms are huge and beautiful food is fantastic and the people treat you like family so helpful we loved every minute treat yourself and go there.its walking distance from everywhere and free street parking right outside
We decided to book a Memorial Day weekend trip to Savannah since its been a few years since we’ve been. Wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the Historic/Riverfront district this time and decided to stay in the Victorian District – looking around, we found this absolute gem. Its only a mile or so away from the riverfront but the free DOT shuttle is only two blocks away and after 5pm, the free Downtowner car share is available It was a four hour drive but Waze took us a funky way that had us circling the streets around the Inn - we finally got there and found (free) street parking right in front. We were about 10-minutes early for our 3pm check in but Kat opened the door and welcomed us with a huge smile. Giving us a brief tour of both sides of the inn and handing us a glass of peach sweet tea, she was very thorough in showing us how everything works and where everything is. We stayed in the LaFayette room on the ground floor – easy access to the courtyard and the streets. It was decorated ornately in the French style with antiques galore. California King bed, mini fridge with a couple of bottles of water, Keurig, TV/DVD player, fireplace and a shower stall bathroom. Everything was clean. This was the only place where we have ever stayed where our request for extra pillows and towels was actually granted! We had access to both side of the inn and their kitchen areas which was nice. Entrance to the property was secured with keyed or touchpad locks – not that it was needed as the area was safe and quiet. Housekeeping is available daily if you request it – Carolyn excelled here. Breakfast is included with the stay and it was always very good. Iced water, sweet treats and peach sweet tea was always available throughout the day along with fruit and other leftovers from breakfast. We would come down before breakfast was served and sit in the parlor or front porch with our morning coffee. The parlors were a great place to hang out in the AC but we spent a lot of time on the front porch. There was always a breeze and it was very peaceful. The small pool and back courtyard were other great places we took advantage of having been to Savannah before and already done all of the touristy stuff. Just another HUGE shoutout to Kat and Carolyn for making our stay so great – we will be back!…
Beautiful inn - the room was much larger than I expected. The furniture was very nice and linens were excellent. Entire staff very friendly and helpful - gave us great directions and recommendations. The breakfast was very good every morning. The location is great - walking distance to everything. Very hot when we were there - so we really enjoyed using the pool in the late afternoon. Street parking was convenient and also available. Highly recommend staying here.
