The Bluff Savannah Historic, part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, is celebrated for its modern and spacious rooms that boast comfort and a chic aesthetic. Guests appreciate the hotel's shuttle service and bicycles, yet some suggest enhancements like a more diverse breakfast selection and earlier transportation schedules.
Although the location is deemed convenient for exploring nearby attractions, the extra charges for parking and breakfast have been a point of contention, with guests deeming them overpriced. The hotel's cleanliness consistently earns commendations, yet service experiences have varied, with some guests facing issues with breakfast organization and housekeeping.

The location is just outside of the happening areas, but there is a free shuttle to get you into the heart of it all and pick you up by 10:00.pm. Bedding was pretty good. The lounge bartender was great! It would have been better if they served actual food instead of just snacks. The continental breakfast is not included and the ladies serving were kind of mean about it. I chose not to eat anything because it wasn’t worth it. Best get there by 10:00am or they won’t let you have anything. We showed up at 10:02am our 1st day & was declined food.

Room was more than accommodating - clean, well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, etc. Friendly staff that offered recommendations to restaurants and tours. The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to most places...with a drink in hand of course!

Rooms are nice but need updated. Toilet paper holder broken, dirty shower, baseboards, dirty fridge which also had a leak, coffee maker had a pool of water under it. Bedsheets put on inside out, stained pillowcase and bath mat. Breakfast is expensive.. $3 for a cup of coffee and $13.95 for breakfast buffet with limited options and $20 to park! $260 for one night which should absolutely include breakfast and parking!! Housekeeping knocking on door unannounced at 9am was annoying. Extremely limited outlets/usb access due to headboards being so big and agains the nightstand. Overall, the price is way to high for what you get.

The pillows are the perfect firmness. The room was both clean and spacious. But the toilet in room 218 was obviously selected by a woman because a mans junk does not fit when sitting on it. The towels and washclothes were supplied to bare minimum for two people. Most Hilton properties have three of each of the washclothes, hand towels and bath towels. The breakfast was minimal. Although there were eggs cooked to order, the coffee was old, cold, and stale at 0700. For the prlce charged for the room, charging $25 per day for parking is an excessive fee for a lot that is not enclosed and gated. It certainly exceeds the cost of printing the parking pass on colored paper for the dash of the car with a marker to identify the customer parking there.

This room was SO dirty! Someone's nasty corn pad & bandaid were on the night stand. The mirror in the bathroom had a huge streak of something - I didn't want to think about what that could be. The shower floor could have been the street, it was so black. The bathroom floor had dirty footprints on it - it obviously hadn't been mopped. We were exhausted after a long day of travel and didn't want to take the time to switch rooms or have someone come clean and we were only there one night, so we just dealt with it. Unfortunately, the next morning when I woke up, I realized the pillow I had my head on all night didn't have a case on it & it was stained & nasty, also. I almost puked when I saw it. The coffee maker was broken and only had one regular & one decaf coffee pod for a room that could sleep four. Also, the front desk didn't acknowledge my Honors Gold status until I said something & then only gave us water. When we asked about tours, they didn't bother telling us there were discounts available through the hotel (we found that out the next morning when we were checking out, after we had already paid for a tour). The $15 breakfast was essentially the same breakfast you get at a Hampton Inn, except they added yogurt parfaits and the tables were set nicely. Lastly, even though it's not downtown, you had to pay for parking. I got $10 off for being a Hilton Honors member, but $10 for parking wasn't warranted there, especially since the hotel is right across from a very scary neighborhood (shot out/boarded up windows, graffiti, etc. - we were warned not to go there by a local the next day after we checked out) and there is no visible security in the parking lot. Overall, it was a really disappointing stay. I would not ever consider going back.

The staff was excellent. However, there were multiple problems with our stay: 1. There was a large blood stain on the carpet in the room first assigned to us. Disgusting. We moved to a different room. 2. The safe in the second room was locked when we arrived and we had to ask for maintenance to unlock it. 3. The free downtown shuttle was advertised on the website as going to multiple locations. It only goes to one. 4. We stayed three nights and after the 2nd night I notified the front desk at 8 am that we'd like maid service that day. I was assured that would happen. When we returned to the room at 8:30 pm, the maids had not touched the room and were gone for the day. We had no clean towels and were out of toilet paper. The front desk supplied us with 3 bath towels and a roll of toilet paper. 5. Upon check in the first day, which was a Saturday, we were told the hotel bar was open that night but would not be open Sunday or Monday. The website did not indicate any nights it would be closed. We were happily surprised on Sunday when the bar was open and was told the schedule to be open all nights was changed two weeks before. Obviously, the front desk was not properly informed and/or trained. Overall, I can't say this hotel was worth the $408 it cost on Saturday night (two queen studio). The location is inconvenient and the quality of upkeep, housekeeping and general staff training causes us to give it only two stars and we wouldn't recommend it to others. Hilton has some work to do here.

Where should I begin? My fiance and good friend made the drive to this hotel, which would take us about four hours. I was called by this hotel's front desk manager a total of three times for me to change my credit card that was on file because they were trying to charge my card before we arrived. Even though it's the card that we use for every single reservation when booking with Hilton and we never ever have an issue checking in.
My special requests were not honored and we were told about it at the last minute. My assistant called a week before and days prior to our arrival to confirm things. She spoke with the front desk manager, who assured her the request would be honored, but they were not. The website says they have an onsite restaurant but it's just for breakfast and nothing else. We had to go out for all of our meals, because we were not going to pay $10 for cereal and milk and three day old pastries.
The staff interaction was negative to us, when we brought up the issues of our room, the staff made us feel as if they were giving a discount for something that should have never needed to be discounted. The room that was assigned to us was NOT clean to the standard in which Hilton prides itself in.
1)The prior guest had some sort of issue with the coffee machine that resulted in coffee being spewed all over the coffee machine, the counter tops, down the front of the cabinets, the floor and in the sink. The coffee area was not replenished with coffee, tea, or anything needed to make a morning drink. 2) Our bathroom had only one towel, and that was dirty with makeup smudges. The shower had pubic hairs on the floor and smelled like dirt. The tables near the bedside, in the living area had caked on dust that you could wipe up with a paper towel.
**Because of what we saw at the kitchen sink, we immediately called for the front desk manager to come to our room and do a walk through with us. The things mentioned above are what the manager saw with us in real time. He took photos and apologized over and over again. The manager advised us that housekeeping was gone for the day, but he could send a maintainence worker to our room to clean things up. We left our room for over two hours only to come back and things are still the same. Because the hotels were all booked and they did not have another room, we stayed in the original room, but we cleaned it for over two hours before we went to bed that night.
The next morning, we advised the front desk that we did NOT want housekeeping, we had cleaned our room and would be back later in the evening. Upon our return, a male front desk agent said "we took off your first nights stay, so you should be done complaining"........we were all puzzled and didn't know why he would make such a comment. We did not travel out of state to not be able to pay for our accommodations.
We normally would use our credits for breakfast and other meals, but we don't know how or if we got our credit for our stay, or even if we got the points that we were supposed to. I think as a Diamond member, we are supposed to get points and breakfast credits.
The location is pretty close to pretty much everything we had planned to do, but the accommodations at this location did not meet our standards. For a one night stay, cool, but for the money we paid out for our weekend, this location was not satisfactory at all.

Cons: noise, low water pressure, no drawers for clothing, very limited desk space, and the breakfast buffet is a joke.
If you are looking for a short stay convenient to the historic district, The Bluff is convenient and the price for that area is competitive. I was surprised, however, by how many corners they cut on essentials in their most recent remodel. Sound abatement was adequate for outside noise, but inside noise was a problem. The noise from slamming doors was particularly loud and frequent. Water pressure was low, affecting the shower. Desk space was limited to a bar-rail style desktop barely deep enough to accommodate a laptop. And, the only drawer in the entire room was in the one bedside nightstand (you know, the one with a bible in it).
Don't waste your time on the "breakfast buffet." During our stay, most of the chafing dishes were empty, and the ones that had any food at all had low-level food service items like canned corned beef hash, canned sausage gravy, and reconstituted scrambled eggs. During our stay, there was no decaf coffee and only one fruit juice available. I have had much better at three-star hotel chains, and there are certainly a number of better breakfast alternatives a short walk or drive from the hotel.
If location and cleanliness are your biggest concerns, maybe The Bluff will satisfy you. If you are expecting the usual Hilton standard, you will likely be disappointed.

Great hotel. We travel to Savannah 5-6 times a year and were excited to try Hilton’s new Savannah Tapestry hotel (Cotton Sail is the other one). The pricing for The Bluff was comparable to Hampton Inn or HGI. Self parking was super easy, no valet so in and out was not complicated. The lobby was new, pretty, and well appointed. We checked in online but room wasn’t ready as we were early. We were able to get another room on the bridge side view. Floor plan is not available on Hilton so odd rooms are bridge and even looks over the USPS and some other SCAD buildings. The girl at the desk was super friendly and knowledgeable. The bar area, Twin Spades, is relaxing. Cool place to unwind, no TVs, not very busy. The room was great. Clean and comfortable. Everything was newer and fit the Savannah area feel. Lots of positives here. The downsides: only one - distance from the main action of River and Downtown. Not horrible, definitely walkable, but when you have a lot of bags, shopping, can be inconvenient. As Plant Riverside was added, lots of positive changes in this area. Construction is still ongoing so with time, more may be added down this way so the distance may not be a factor. Daytime wasn’t too bad but after subset, low light on the side streets and walking on Bay Street is concerning with some areas not having sidewalks. Hotel does offer a shuttle (see picture). We did not use and Uber’ed instead but did see others leaving and arriving lots of good reviews of the shuttle. Downside on Uber, as always, is the peak pricing. 3 of out rides were $8-$12 before tip (but it literally was pouring rain). Our last Uber from District Live to the hotel was $26 (and 10 minutes wait for 2 minute ride) and was after shuttle hours. We walked in the pouring rain, speedily, which took about 5 minutes. Would be better walk with more sidewalks, more lighting, and more foot traffic. Overall, hotel was great and everyone was so friendly. However, given the distance, if pricing was similar, would stay at a Hilton closer to the action. I honestly hate to say that, just because we really did enjoy the hotel, and while don’t mind walking, it was just a little too far from the action at this point in time.

First time visiting Savannah and we had a great experience.
Was able to check in early and all the staff were great.
Located a very short drive or a few minute walk or even a complementary shuttle ride from 2pm to 10pm.
We had 2 rooms and were a nice size, was more like a studio suite and nice size bathroom. Always love walk in showers.
Tameka, Keke, Nikki Janine, Jazz, Susan, Ebony were all wonderful.
Specifics:
Have to visit River St, lots of restaurants and shopping and great views on riverfront.
Take a tour to see the historic district, funny thing depending on the day it can be a different price per person.
Visit City Market for a nice quiet experience of shopping or eating It’s also a hop on hop off stop for tour.
Free tour at St John’s Cathedral Church
Forsyth Park
The city is rich with a lot of history and tours to choose from.
Hotel tidbits.
All hotels charge for parking, I hate it but no way around it $25 a night. It’s a lot more with hotels on River St.
Hotel has 3 floors, very quaint and small hotel feeling
Breakfast has ability for omelettes which I love
Would visit again.
