We recently stayed at the East Bay Inn during our recent trip to Savannah. We would so like to give this place a five star rating. The hosts were incredibly helpful, the room was beautiful and quirky, with the highest ceilings we have ever seen in a hotel room. And the location was perfect, near the river and near the historic part of town. The problem was our room was that is was incredibly noisy. We were in the front, almost on top of the road, and the noise didn't stop from morning until night. So we would suggest trying this beautiful inn, but demanding a room in the back. We will next time.

Hotel's Favorite
Just returned from a nice stay at the East Bay Inn. My top criteria in searching for a hotel was health and safety standards and this hotel met my expectations. Everyone there, guests and staff, were wearing masks. My room was very clean. There were plenty of towels and toiletries so I did not require housekeeping to come into my room during my stay. It was in a beautiful, historic building that apparently dates back to 1852. The room I was in was actually pretty large. The exposed brick, old-style furnishings, cast iron pillars, and creaky wood floors made for a unique experience (but I didn't see any ghosts!). The bed was extremely comfortable. I got a great night's sleep. The bathroom was small, but the shower was hot and the water pressure was perfect. The hotel was also thoughtful enough to provide complimentary bottles of water in the room and at the front desk. Another plus is that the hotel has its own small parking lot. We arrived around 8pm on a week night and were lucky enough to get the next to last spot but I think if it had been full, there were plenty of garages nearby. The location was great. We just left the car in the lot and were able to walk the entire historic district and river area. I think the only thing that would have made our stay even better is if there was a balcony (FYI the windows, like most hotels, don't open either). I would not hesitate at all to recommend this historic inn.

We were looking for a luxury hotel for us and our fur babies that was not too far from the river or historic area. Everyone was professional and friendly. The hotel oozes character, charm and southern hospitality. Rooms are comfortable and large with high ceilings. Bathrooms are understandably smallish but ok. We highly recommend this hotel.

First time in Savannah, Could not ask for a better place to stay at. The staff goes beyond what is called to do. They welcome your fur pet as family also. Cant say nothing bad about the experience of staying at this hotel. We will be going back.
