We really enjoyed our four nights here. The lobby was very pretty and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and helpful. We had a King Corner room. We felt very much at home here. The ceiling was high, the windows large with blackout curtains, the bed comfortable and big! There was a couch, 2 chairs and a desk. The bathroom was spacious and there was a walk-in shower. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and a hairdryer were all included. There’s a mini Keurig with K Cups and a small refrigerator. Bottles of water and a snack were left in our room daily. There is also coffee, tea, water and pop available in the lobby. Our room was on Bay Street and it was quite busy and can get loud. Earplugs are available in the room but just know this going in so you aren’t surprised or disappointed. The location is wonderful! We were able to walk everywhere! The Riverwalk is right across the street. Make sure you use the crosswalk button to get the right of way quicker. There’s a restaurant on the lower floor. We didn’t get a chance to eat there but it looked so cozy and adorable! There’s a bar attached too. Josh made us some wonderful new cocktails to try! This was a truly special, historic place to stay in a beautiful, historic city.

My wife and I stayed at East Bay Inn for our Valentine’s Day and we had the best memorable experience. The hotel itself is amazing and the architecture is stunning. The furnishings and layout are beautiful. The staff were excellent, Lauri Elder was very attentive to all of the guests needs, and the innkeeper Susan Powers left us a hand written note and a bottle of champagne on ice and chocolates for when we arrived. We have never felt so pampered in our life, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience great. I would give this inn and their employees 100 stars if I could. In addition to our great experience, the location of the inn is perfect for enjoying Savannah’s historic district. We were able to walk from our hotel to all of the city’s attractions and our time could not have been better spent. Thank you East Bay Inn and staff for making our romantic getaway a night we will never forget.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the East Bay Inn. The location and historic nature of the hotel were the key attractions. You can't beat the location as it it is walkable to most attractions (it rained during our visit so we did Uber some). Loved the exposed brick, wide plank floors, high ceilings, and updated baths. I felt the staff was invested in our stay and wanted everything to be right - the service felt personal. Small details, but I appreciated the complimentary soft drinks and water through out the day, the QR code on your phone for the parking garage, and no hassle check out. We would definitely stay at the East Bay Inn again.

After reading so many great reviews, and seeing how expensive this hotel is (320$+ per night), we were excited to stay at the East Bay Inn.
The location is great for exploring and the bed was large and comfortable. You can get water and soft drinks at reception and there's drip coffee available all day. Parking was free, too.
Unfortunately there were a lot of negatives, which means we wouldn't recommend staying here.
Noise - The road is very noisy, all through the night. We had a ground floor room, meaning pedestrians could look straight into our room from the side walk and we could hear people clearly as they walked past. Other guests in their rooms and at reception, were equally audible at all times of day and night. While the hotel supplies ear plugs, these aren't enough to keep the noise out and we didn't sleep much for the three nights we were here. We did ask for a different room, but the hotel was fully booked.
Housekeeping - We were in our room for about 10 minutes between 10am-4pm one day and so the housekeeping team didn't clean our room. They did remove our towels for some reason. Overall the room isn't clean - dirty under the bed, thick layers of dust on the curtains, dusty and dirty in the corners and in the cupboards. The bedding is also odd in that you get a sheet, a blanket with quite a few holes in it, and then a duvet on top without a cover on it (you can even see this on the marketing photos).
The reception team isn't unfriendly, but also not warm or welcoming in any way. No attempts at "southern hospitality", everything is very transactional. There was one gentleman, I believe called William, who was very courteous, but the rest of the team seemed to view us more as chore than a guest to be welcomed.
The reception team mentioned that they were "inundated" with booking requests due to Hurricane Milton, but when we offered to leave early and continue our road trip elsewhere to make room for people fleeing from Florida, they showed no interest which we found slightly odd, too.
The bar and breakfast/lunch diner are in the same building as the hotel, but separate businesses. Staff there are friendly and made a real effort to welcome us.
Overall we were disappointed at the value for money, lack of cleanliness and noise offered by the hotel, and wouldn't return.

We appreciate your feedback. Our central location does have it's pros and cons. Easy access to the heart of Savannah and some of the noise that comes with it as well. All our rooms come with blinds and curtains for privacy though I do understand it does little for the noise. Your experience with the state of your room is not the standard we aspire to. My staff and I pride ourselves on resolving issues so we ask, should you decide to give us another chance, that you bring these matters to our attention. Safe travels. Sincerely, Charles Stewart Guest Services Manager East Bay Inn

Cozy inn rooms... and spacious. For your amenity fee you at least get amenities...water, soda, happy hour, 15% off in restaurant, parking. Most hotels give you nothing and still impose a fee. We arrived early but by the time we had lunch we received a text that our room was ready. Great location. Within walking distance of some very good restaurants and also River street. We did experience an elevator breakdown (there is only one) so we had to carry luggage down when we checked out. Rooms are very clean and the exposed brick walls adds a nice touch. The restaurant Debi's is very good for breakfast and very reasonable even before the 15% discount. Would recommend this Inn. We also considered some of the "sister" hotels in this group but since we were traveling from other places and had more luggage in the car we wanted to self-park and were able to at this hotel. There is parking for about a dozen cars on site and I believe there is more parking about a block or two away. We were lucky and got a spot right there. We never had to move it as we walked most places.

The East Bay Inn is perfectly located and authentically maintained to give a very comfortable and truly immersive experience in the lovely old historical area of Savannah. From this location, one can easily walk to any of the museums and historical sites as well as the many restaurants and bars and the river front, too!! The staff is friendly and very willing to help with reservations for meals and sightseeing tours. Very relaxing and fun place to stay!!

Kind of a spur of the moment weekend getaway trip but it far exceeded our expectations. We travel with our poodles and mainly chose the East Bay Inn because of its proximity to the park but that is not why we will definitely be returning. We will make our way back because of the wonderful hotel and great staff. From the first call to make reservations to checkout, every employee was exceptionally cheerful and helpful. The hotel was very well kept, well decorated and clean. When we first arrived I was a little worried about the noise from the street but it was never an issue at all. Even the elevator was quiet. The location is just a short walk to all kinds of food or drink so once you're checked in you never have to get back in your car. I'm definitely going to recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a great getaway.

East Bay Inn was the perfect landing place for this mother-daughter weekend trip. As soon as you walk into the small lobby, you know you're going to have a classy experience. We had a two-queen room which was spacious, comfortable, and elegant. The bathroom is not lovely, but plenty spacious with a relatively new shower surround and good water pressure. The staff was most hospitable and gracious. Since this room was not facing East Bay, we were not bothered by night noise.

This historic inn is located in a perfect spot for getting to the riverfront, walking to other parts of the historic district, and sightseeing in general. Even though it’s on a busy street, it was surprisingly quiet. The room was really charming, with exposed brick on one side, high ceilings, large windows with elegant, heavy drapery, and a huge sitting area. The pretty lamps provided soft light everywhere, except the entryway had discordant bright white lights, and the area over the desk lacked — and really could have used — lighting. The bathroom was large and clean, and the fridge, coffee maker, and daily snacks were appreciated. Although the snacks, drinks, and nightly glasses of wine are part of a daily fee, which also disappointingly includes parking fees (even though I didn’t have a car). Though this is billed as an historic inn, it would have been great if there was something about its history provided, or explained by one of the staff members. Everyone there seems very nice, but pretty quiet and not effusive, which seems a bit odd in the hospitality industry. They were accommodating and friendly, however, whenever actual questions were asked.

The location is prime - close walk to the river, shipping, and any food you'd want. Hotel itself is gorgeous and historic. It really makes you feel like you’re in old Savannah. Free parking. Customer service was spectacular. They brought our bags up to our room while we were out exploring. Free water bottles and snacks. I suggest staying on the third floor if you don’t want to hear footsteps above, but the rooms came with nice earplugs so it wasn’t an issue.
