If you are going to the Riverwalk in downtown Savannah, this is a hotel with a good location. Across from the JW Marriott, his hotel looks like an old renovated building. On entering, you are given a plastic water bottle that gets filled at the filling station on each floor. Just trying so hard to be cool. The rooms are large, but the bathroom is about as tiny as can be. The shower is OK size but the vanity/sink is just large enough to hold a cosmetic case. Rooftop bar has a good view...it was very busy the night that we were there. It was an OK stay, but nothing to rave about. And I have to admit as a side note....I do not know what the attraction is to downtown Savannah.

Hotel's Favorite
We chose the Alida on the recommendation of a friend for our short visit to Savannah. It did not disappoint! The hotel is lovely and clean, with a comfortable room. We enjoyed food at the rooftop bar as well as Rhett’s for breakfast. The food was very good at both places! Throughout we encountered terrific and friendly service including Harold at valet service. The hotel’s location is perfect for enjoying the Riverwalk and surrounding historical area by foot. We would highly recommend The Alida!

What a great hotel! Location was perfect. My husband and I have been to Savannah many times,this may be our favorite hotel to date. The hotel was very clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. Our valet driver Allie was so pleasant! I highly recommend this hotel.

My stay at The Alida was fantastic. The room is very comfortable and quiet. I had a very lengthy stay of 16 nights and was never disappointed. The ladies at the valet were fabulous. They are super friendly and hustle every morning. Mykala was awesome, and a pleasure to deal with every day!

Loved this hotel, it was in a great location. You can walk to the water where there are plenty of restaurants and bar options. The hotel does a great job to provide lots of amenities. There a drink ticket at their bar for the ever night, they also have sparkling and still water on tap on each floor with fruit provide daily. They also provide coffee in the mornings, and happy hour. The staff were friendly and great. The Rhett restaurant was also nice for dinner (portions are big). Would also recommend Vic’s on the water. The historical district isn’t too far. As a tip, one of the last stop for the trolly tour is up the block from the hotel. You can hop on, and then start the tour all over from the beginning. My only complaint is the house keeping. Our room was not cleaned properly, they left empty coffee cups, left things untidy. They also did not replenish all of the towels similar to how it was when we checked in. The second day was the same thing, the wash clothes were missing. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel.…

This was our second time staying at the Alida and we will definitely come again. It is a great boutique hotel that still seems new and fresh. And the location is perfect as well. This is definitely our go-to hotel in Savannah!

The Alida has the friendliest and most helpful staff of any hotel. From pulling up to the valet (shout out to Mykala and Storie for exceptional service and friendliness!) to front desk staff to Alice (the concierge,) to housekeeping, to room service that brewed a pot of coffee after hours at 10pm for my son who was studying for finals. Five star service! We stayed in the Harper suite which was clean, elegant, and spacious. The decor is eclectic in a good way, and plenty of charging ports and outlets. Shower water pressure is great and the shower stall is huge. We had drinks in the lobby bar that were delicious and the next night we had drinks up on the rooftop bar with a lovely view of the city. The bed was very comfortable, if a bit soft, but supportive. Great location! A block from the River Walk but at the end so it is quiet. Hotel is also quiet. We didn't hear any other guests. The Alida is absolutely beautiful and a fantastic place to stay when visiting Savannah. The location was perfect and the staff incredibly friendly. We love the lounge chairs at the pool. They were the most comfortable ones we had ever laid on. Mike in the lobby bar was helpful with recommendations and provided great service! Housekeeping staff was great including Summer, who went above and beyond to take care of our room. She was very kind and definitely hard-working. We can’t wait to go back!

Great spot! Our room was spacious, modern and clean. There are a lot of little amenities enticing you to hang out at the property - complementary happy hour from 3-5 (free bubbles and cookies at the front desk); a $30 daily voucher for food/drink at their whiskey bar; nice onsite rooftop bar; great food at Rhett’s at ground level; a relaxing pool; and a small outdoor space with fire pit in the evenings. Location in the riverside district has coffee/restaurants nearby and is a doable walk from the historic district. We had one issue the first night with bad dog noise (it’s a dog-friendly hotel), but hotel worked to contact the guest and address it. Really enjoyed! Would recommend and would stay again.
