We really wanted to like this hotel but there were enough glitches and irritations that, for the price I am not sure I would recommend it to a friend. We booked through AMEX FHR package. We did not get a noon check-in due to availability but we did get an upgraded room, which we were pleased about. The employee who checked us in was friendly but rushed through her welcome introduction and didn’t mention our $100 resort credit or a complimentary cocktail (both of which I later overheard when another guest was checking in). Our room wasn’t ready at 1 PM, so we left our bags and went to lunch. We never received a phone call or text that our room was ready but the room was available when we returned around 3:30 PM. We were told our bags would be sent right up. We left our room at 4 PM and stopped by the front desk and reminded them our bags needed to be sent up. We went for a drink at the rooftop and returned to our room at 5 PM. Still no bags. I called and the bags were brought up shortly. Fifteen minutes later, I realized my knapsack (with IPad and other valuables) was missing. I called the front desk and was told someone would look for the knapsack and send it up. Twenty minutes later, I went down to the front desk and a helpful valet checked storage and found my knapsack. When it came time to have a glass of wine, we realized there were no glasses of any kind in our room. So I trudged downstairs again to go to the bar to get some wine glasses. We enjoyed our room (2205) but the foam mattress felt broken down and swaybacked. As part of our package, we had complimentary breakfast. However, the breakfast charge showed up on our final bill. I had to call back to the hotel to ask for this charge to be removed. The guest representative said she would take care of the error but did not apologize for the inconvenience. Each of these irritations is not a big deal on its own, but the compilation of these glitches left a sour taste in our mouths. We know it was an especially busy weekend at the hotel and tried to take that into account. The final straw was being charged for breakfast and having to call to get that remedied. Otherwise, we thought the location of the hotel is perfect. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and try to be helpful. The hotel is clean, well-designed, and has cool decor. Bottom line: We would not return Addendum: Checked credit card tonight and entire charge went through with no correction for breakfast. Will now have to try again to get the erroneous charge corrected.

We were "upgraded" to a suite, however it had to the worst one in the hotel. No storage space of any kind. Amenities like bath products were not free to take, each bottle was $35 whopping dollars. The reason it got a 4 star was our valet driver. Pops as he is known was an amazing man. Knowledgeable, friendly and caring. When picking us up from our lunch restaurant, he parked (not easy to do) and walked down the street to pick us up and took his well-known shortcut back to the hotel. We were very impressed with him. He is a 5 star +

Stayed here recently and recommend staying away! Rooms were not ready until 6pm and I was simply told “well we had guests who checked out at 4” by the manager. And that the other reason we were delayed check in was bc we had reserved one of only 4 suites on site. Then he was incredibly rude to my wife. Stay away!!!

We had a very enjoyable, although brief, stay at Perry Lane Hotel. We love Savannah, and from now on, this is the hotel for me! The location is perfect for exploring, close to Broughton and the riverfront but also convenient to the squares and other parts of the city. The champagne greeting was lovely, and actually quite tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary cocktail at the bar. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms beautiful. They are very well insulated with minimal noise filtering in. The best part-- I could shower all day in the amazing rain shower, which is so relaxing. I loved the Molten and Brown toiletries. Yes, as noted elsewhere, they are full size and not a travel size you can take with you, but we did not find this to be a problem and they do actually give a more luxurious appearance. Also, as previously noted, there is a resort fee, but you will find this to be the norm at many of the nicer hotels. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. I really hated to leave for the next stop on our travels! Next time we can hopefully enjoy the rooftop pool as time did not allow on this trip.

I recently took a trip to Savannah, GA to celebrate my 23rd birthday and stayed with some friends in the Perry Lane Hotel. We had a great experience - our room was beautiful, the rooftop bar had delicious cocktails, and the service was great overall. Ruby at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure we were felt welcomed after our travels. We would definitely stay again!
