Can I just tell you about The Perry Lane Hotel? My family and I had the distinct pleasure of staying at the hotel for the past two days. The Perry Lane is a beautiful property situated in the heart of the historic district. The location is ideal for easy walking to terrific shopping and dining, as well as enjoying the iconic Savannah scenery and architecture. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. But where The Perry Lane truly shines lies with their service and staff. Upon arrival we were immediately greeted by Kennedy, the valet. We were so impressed with his friendly, welcoming manner. He provided a wealth of information about the hotel and available amenities. He made sure we were settled in our room, and within minutes of arriving he had brought ice, a nice bottle of complimentary chilled champagne, and fresh bar glasses we had requested. We had dinner at The Emporium Kitchen and Wine Market located in the hotel. The food was phenomenal but, again, the service was the highlight. Our server, Stevie, was so pleasant and helpful. He was obviously eager to make certain our dining experience was enjoyable and we wanted for nothing. He provided off-menu sweet tea for my son and made sure my husband had a freshly washed salad due to a severe allergy issue to a preservative. During our stay I went to the lobby coffee shop for my morning coffee. I was surprised when the barista said my coffee was complimentary. I wandered into the restaurant during a time when they were not serving. A friendly staff (I regrettably did not get his name) asked if he could help. I asked if I could please get a coke to go. He kindly went and got my drink. When I went to pay, he waved me off and told me to enjoy. In summary, go to The Perry Lane Hotel! You won’t be disappointed. These folks have raised the bar when it comes to customer service, courtesy, and class. It is without reservation that I highly recommend this hotel. We’ll be back.

We stayed here the weekend of February 29th, 2020 for the first time. The hotel certainly isn't cheap but it does offer brand new amenities with flat screen televisions and sub ports in the walls for example. The rooms are about medium sized, very well done with a large bath, huge shower, and decorative wood trim throughout. The property isn't too large so you don't feel like you are in a maze of floors and rooms and there is a fantastic rooftop bar. The view is outstanding and the atmosphere is to be desired. The prices, again, very steep in my opinion. However, there are plenty of nearby options for both food and drink should you choose to leave campus. On he way in we are greeted with wonderful staff; the valet personnel was especially kind and helpful. Bernard, Pop's, Kevin and Jimicheal were are waiting to provide grade A service for all of your needs. Pop's is particularly remarkable with his sharp suit. There is a restaurant within the hotel that I would not recommend unless you are just looking for mussels; those are great. Otherwise the price is out of whack and the service leaves room for improvement. We will go back soon and recommend this property to anyone.

I’m pretty picky about doling out 5 stars for hotels. Lots of hotels are clean with friendly personnel. That’s not enough to warrant 5 stars. So why Perry Lane? What did they do above the others? Let me start with the room. The beds were very comfortable. Felt like the sheets were better than the average hotel. Set up was functional and yet, a bit unique. Toilet paper was more Charmin and less cardboard paper. Towels were well sized. These are the small details that can outshine other hotels. Staff is next. We arrived on Christmas and let me say that’s a day where it’s easy to be bummed you’re working. But if they were, they didn’t let it show. I’m going to botch the spellings but Zarr and Xavier were our drivers to dinner (hotel has car service!) and they were really awesome and friendly. The Emporium staff was top notch as well. Breakfast in our room was delivered promptly. Roof top bar was attractive and the pool area as a whole was nicely done (we didn’t partake in the pool being that it was cold in December). We also had appetizers downstairs and thought the cheese board was very tasty. Perry Lane has 2 separate towers and we stayed in the one where we checked in. Can’t speak to the other. The other is directly across the narrow road where you enter the hotel. Door to door from each tower is only about 10-20 steps but it’d be nice if they connected the awnings of each tower as a sort of breezeway over the road. Cars could unload under the breezeway and guests can walk from one tower to the other without getting rained on in case of bad weather. That’s my only suggestion. But that’s a building modification. Overall- not sure I’d stay anywhere else in Savannah considering the amenities and high quality of this hotel. I’d recommend it.
