The cool cobblestone road (Factor Way) wrought iron stairs to lobby and a mere stones throw to the river lead me to believe I made a good choice. There is only 24 rooms carved out of the old textile mill. We had a king suite. The bathroom was modern, had a full kitchen (refrigerator sink dishwasher and micro) . Was nice to sleep on a mattress that wasn't overly soft. Large windows kept us mesmerized with the cargo ships, tugs and private vessels. Some mentioned it being noisy but except for the large heavy doors closing in the 3 room section we were in, it wasn't a problem. There was a noise canceling machine along with ear plugs at bedside if needed. Had complimentary wine and h'orderves in the late afternoon and coffee and muffins in am. We will be back again.
I stayed here with my boxer dog based on reviews and location. I typically stay at another brand name but this hotel had such rave reviews I decided to give it a go and I wasn’t disappointed. The room was huge with a separate living room then kitchen with microwave, keurig coffee maker, full size fridge/freezer and sink so it’s extremely convenient, bathroom then beyond that is the bedroom. In-room safe and Klondike bars in your freezer. Complimentary unlimited bottled water and soft drinks throughout the day as well as a happy hour with wine and snacks in the evening. Your dog also gets an amenity gift bag. Parking is at the hotel with in/out privileges as often as you wish. The staff, every single member of the hotel staff was engaging and so helpful. I can’t say enough good about them. I will say the only down side is you can hear the people above you walking at times or doors closing to the outside but keep in mind, this is a historic building so it’s not all concrete. Great place great stay …
You will not be disappointed with this hotel. Great location, large suite, superb staff. Wine and hors d’oeuvres every evening. Klondike bars in the freezer! My wife and I will definitely return, and can wholeheartedly recommend this historic hotel.
Traveled to Savannah for our anniversary and stayed at the Olde Harbour Inn which was lovely, close to all good restaurants, the river, the squares. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms very nice. All around great time.
It was the staff at this hotel that made our trip to Savannah truly awesome. Every single member of the staff was outstanding. I have never felt so welcomed. The room was clean and spacious. The view was great.
Pet friendly, lovely, centric historic building with a river view, and night outing surrounded by restaurants..super friendly staff, helpful and knowledgeable. The cobble stones alley and surrounding area was an amazing experience walking around the area.
We arrived at 12:30 AM and found the entrance to be somewhat of a puzzle. Better access to the front door from the Main Street level is needed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The wine we ordered was undrinkable (we will gladly pay for a decent bottle of wine). Also, would have been to find a mini bar with drinks and snacks available for purchase.
Loved this historic look and the location. Room was CLEAN spacious and tastefully decorated not to forget the historic touches throughout the property and room. Staff was great! Kevin a staff member who greet us and took our bags to the room stood out... hard working knowledgeable and personable. He appeared to love what he does. Would return again and recommend to others.
We were looking for a suite ideal for a couple plus a single young adult, and this was perfect; we stayed in a "River View Suite"--the Princess (404), with a private bedroom in the back downstairs, a loft bedroom upstairs, and a full living area with sink, fridge, and microwave, nice decor and beautiful views. It was the only such arrangement I found looking at hotels in Savannah. The "caveat" is that the bedrooms overlook River Street, which was very noisy on Friday night, with cruising cars blaring music, people yelling, and loud music playing from a nearby plaza. This went on until past midnight. Saturday night was quieter, though there were still some loud vehicles occasionally. This is just downtown Savannah at night on the weekend, and something to be aware of if you are sensitive to noise. The hotel thoughtfully provides a white noise machine and squishy earplugs in each bedroom; I utilized both. …
I liked the location and space of this inn. When we arrived, we were greeted and helped into our suite. Every day there are wine/hors d'oeuvred served which was quite nice. People who worked there were quite nice. The big problem - why I scored this inn a 2 - cleanliness. First thing, the bedroom rug was quite stained in one area. The bathroom was not well cleaned. The grout in the tub wall had black mold including orange mold which was easily wiped off when wet. That means no effort was made to clean the walls for a long time. There was a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fan and I could easily see where the floor had been cleaned and were it wasn't. Made me really concerned about the overall cleanliness of the suite. The hinge on the main door to the 3 suites had problems - when it was closing, it would all of a sudden close hard - hitting folks. I don't think care has been taken to manage this property. With all the hotels/inns available, I would not recommend this inn.…
