Beautiful home right off Forsyth Park. Leslie and Sonya were so hospitable and warm. Breakfast was a treat each morning. We stayed in Room 9. Lovely decor, very comfortable bed and a wonderful large jacuzzi tub! I think we took 4 baths in 3 days.

Property's Favorite Review
If you are looking for a lovely place to get away from the monotony of being quarantined at home, but still want to feel safe and relaxed, this is the perfect place to come!!!! My husband and I just left the property a few minutes ago and we are already planning a trip back to the Catherine Ward House Inn. We are expecting our first child and had planned to go on a trip to the northeast in September, but the virus had other plans for us. We booked this trip very last minute and weren’t totally sure what to expect. We wanted a weekend away from our home, but we still wanted to feel comfortable. The Catherine Ward House Inn FAR exceeded our expectations. CLEANLINESS/SOCIAL DISTANCING Starting with one of the most important factors to so many of us right now — the cleanliness and social distancing at CWHI are taken very seriously but don’t put a damper on the feeling of “vacation”. I am rarely able to get fully comfortable in a place that’s not my home, but this was a definite exception. There was not a single linen, countertop or surface, towel, or carpet that I found even a small stain or bit of dust on. The place is kept IMMACULATELY clean. Masks are required and worn in common areas. The hostess, Leslie, goes out of her way to make sure that guests can socially distance for breakfasts (she arranges times/tables to make this happen). ACCOMMODATIONS We stayed in Jessica’s Room and, as previously mentioned, it was exceptionally clean. We loved being able to come and go through our own private entrance without walking through the main areas of the house — great for social distancing. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the A/C unit kept the room at the perfect temperature (and that is really saying something for me as a woman in her third trimester of pregnancy). The water temperature and pressure were great and Leslie did a great job of stocking the bathroom with plenty of fresh towels so that, although due to COVID there was no daily cleaning service in the individual rooms, we could still have a fresh towel/rug/hand towel/washcloth for each day. Another thoughtful addition were the water bottles and ginger ales provided complimentary in the mini fridge. Lovely touch! Also plenty of room to unpack — lots of hangers and a dresser. WIFI Excellent WiFi connection — especially convenient if you need to log on for any remote work during your stay. BREAKFAST We stayed three nights and, therefore, got to enjoy three breakfasts but I still can’t decide which was my favorite! Leslie is an excellent cook and is so accommodating with any preferences — she even remembered from my note in the booking that my husband didn’t like mushrooms and left those off of his plate one morning. Besides being delicious, fresh, and piping hot, the breakfasts are always beautifully plated and I loved that each morning we were first served a course of fresh fruit, and then the hot meal. LOCATION Wow!! I cannot say enough good things about this location. My husband and I were able to walk everywhere in the city that we wanted to go. Restaurants, historic districts, and squares are all minutes walk away so you can avoid public transportation. We had our car with us but preferred to walk. If you are ready to start venturing out of the house, this is the perfect break from quarantine that will leave you feeling refreshed and enchanted by the Inn and the beautiful city of Savannah. We HIGHLY recommend making the Catherine Ward House Inn your top pick for any upcoming stays in Savannah.

First we liked you because of the notes in your reservation. Then, we liked you because of your voice mail. We liked you both upon meeting you. We liked the way you explored Savannah - on foot in the heat and humidity - and how you enjoyed everything you encountered. If we didn’t like you before, we would now just because of your extraordinary review. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us. Reviews are critical to our business, especially now. Reviews are also hugely important to people wanting to travel, but who may not yet be comfortable leaving home. Between visiting on your babymoon, and walking all over the place - while feeling safe everywhere you went - you’ve given potential guests something of value to think about. Thank you for your really generous and thoughtful review. I am excited for your baby and happy to have learned your parents all live so close to you. What a great time this is for everyone. We look forward to your return one day, but in the meantime we want baby pictures!

Absolutely loved Catherine Ward House Inn. Sonia and team welcomed us so warmly and the breakfast was to DIE for. Also loved the location - Forsyth Park is gorgeous and essentially across the street. Walking distance to EVERYTHING. Would definitely recommend & stay here again!

This property is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. It felt like a five-star hotel, honestly. My husband and I spent four nights there and were delighted by every minute of it. Leslie, the owner, and her helper made us feel welcome, and the breakfasts they cooked every morning deserved to be served at the best restaurants.

My wife and I made an overnight stop at the Catherine Ward House during our honeymoon and could not have been more pleased. First off, the ladies running the Inn were amazing. Both Sonja and Leslie were so helpful in learning about the area and making sure my wife and I were settled in. The inn itself in in impeccable condition and our room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast they served was delicious while masking and social distancing precautions were carefully followed during our stay. The location of the inn is also great! It is located right next to Forsyth Park so my wife and I took a stroll through the park all the way to downtown for some ice cream at Leopold's. The walk is about 20-25 minutes to downtown Bay Street but it is beautiful the whole way. We also were able to walk to local bars and get dinner a short distance from the Inn. Definitely would recommend staying here if you get a chance! :)
