We absolutely loved our stay! We hope to return again soon, this place is just lovely! Everything is in walking distance and the room was beautifully decorated and very clean. This is easily one of our favorite vacations yet. We give it Five stars!
We visited Savannah for two days and decided to stay at the Catherine Ward House. We received emails prior to our arrival confirming our eta. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Leslie. Leslie is a wonderful host. She was very accommodating and was a pleasure to visit with. The breakfast staff was also very nice. We appreciated the hospitality. The breakfast is the best that I have experienced at a B and B. The Catherine Ward House is conveniently located just a few steps away from Savannah's largest park, which is beautiful. It is also walking distance from the riverfront. Our room was very clean and nice. The entire house is trimmed and decorated beautifully. Whenever our plans take us back to Savannah we will surely make arrangements to stay at the Catherine Ward House. It should be rated 6 stars.…
A beautiful historical inn that’s been lovingly maintained with gorgeous decor. We arrived late due to flight delays but Leslie & Ed gave us the warmest welcome. Leslie’s breakfasts are superb and vary every day they certainly set you up for a day of walking! The house is in the perfect location and Savannah is one of the most beautiful places to visit. Each street taking you up/down to the downtown hub is stunning with exquisite shady squares to stroll through. Our room (Jessica) was just lovely with a private entrance and a cute patio to sit & enjoy a glass or two. There are super porches/outside areas to sit all over the property. Sonya was a delight to chat to and kindly gave us a lift to city market early on our first morning to catch our tour. This really is a home from home & after 5 nights we didn’t want to leave! An Inn is special because of the people and Leslie has created a home from home that’s absolutely worth visiting!…
Love love loved our stay. Wonderful management- beautiful room - yummy breakfast. You’re missing out if you don’t stay here! Enjoy walking at Forsythe Park in minutes or stroll on down to the river. Thank you ladies ❤️
Charming and beautiful bed and breakfast inn. My wife and I celebrated our 15th anniversary here and it was perfect! Rooms are exquisite and the hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was so delicious. Great location to walk to Forsyth Park and surrounding neighborhoods with historic homes. Highly recommend and we will be back!
Wonderful inn just a half-block from Forsyth Park (and just a little farther to a great coffee place - Sentient Bean). Even in the heat/humidity of late June, it was a pleasant walk into down to the more "touristy" sections of Savannah. Inn itself is comfortable and well appointed (loved our sem-private balcony). Breakfast was great (even for this somewhat picky eater). Can't say enough about the proprietor and staff...we arrived over 9 hours later than expected due to cancelled and delayed flights, but were met with a smile and a healthy dose of sympathy! Would definitely stay again.
We recently visited for three nights due to a family medical issue. Leslie, Sonja and Lynne could not have been more helpful. The Inn itself is just beautiful- classic southern charm! Our room was extremely comfortable with all necessary amities. A delicious breakfast was served each morning and enjoyed along with interesting conversations with guests from all over the world. The care and kindness we received from Catherine Ward House made a very difficult trip much more tolerable.
A beautiful home, conveniently placed for access to the city. Comfortable beds, excellent breakfasts. Many special touches, including fresh flowers everywhere, an inviting porch and garden off a quiet street. However, it’s the hostesses and staff who keep us coming back year after year. Highly recommended.
My husband and I went to Savannah for our anniversary and we wanted to stay someplace quaint, not your everyday sort of place so I discovered the Catherine Ward Inn. They let us check in at 11:00 which was nice, most places check in time is 3:00. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Sonya who was very personable and helpful. She gave us a lift to a restaurant we had planned to visit. Like all of the reviews, the place is wonderful! Great location, very clean and comfy. We stayed in the cosmopolitan room and it was very spacious. The breakfast was delicious every morning cooked by Leslie the owner. You will enjoy your stay here I can promise you that.
This was our first B&B experience, and it was a great one! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We were able to bring our luggage early and pick it up late. We were staying in Savannah when it was almost 100°, and the host graciously moved us to a room where we could control the thermostat to be very comfortable. The room was small but pristine and very cute. The food was AMAZING. This was a good walk from the historic district, but the free DOT picks up right outside this spot. It was nice to be in a quieter part of town. Right on Forsyth park, so be sure to check out the farners market on Saturday. Highly recommend!
