Excellent staff. Great location. We stayed for three nights in the Mulberry Tulips room, which was big, comfortable and well appointed. It is a grand old building. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special. We would stay here again.
If you really want to experience old southern hospitality, the Ballastone is the place to stay. This historic inn furnished with victorian antiques and decor gives you a glimpse of the romance of antebellum Savannah. A magical hotel in a magical city!
This was our second stay at the Ballastone, and it was even better than the first. We stayed in the Victoria Suite - expensive but worth it. Beautifully decorated, spacious, amazingly comfortable bed, and right next to the bar and lounge, which is both convenient...More

The Savannah Room has two extra-long twin beds, but other than that I think all of the other rooms either have one queen or one king in them. That being said, ALL of the rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the entire inn is a wonderfully friendly, cozy, beautiful place - perfectly located in the heart of the historic district.

Our room was on the main floor across from the inn office. We were not bothered by any noise. The room was convenient to the back stairs leading to the few parking spaces which are available on a first come first serve basis. Since we had several pieces of luggage, this was quite helpful. We ate at Alligator Soul, an easy walk from the Inn and enjoyed it very much.
