My friends and I stayed here over night for a little getaway. The hotel is located in the perfect spot. You are close to River Street & City Market. The hotel is beautiful! The room was amazing. So clean and pretty. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!!

Everything about this hotel was easy - easy to book, easy to find, park, and check in. Everyone on the staff eager to help with good information and rapid responses. I can especially commend the valet parking manager, Kameron, who provided excellent, friendly service with a smile. The location was perfect for walking around the Savannah historic district and good... More

I was very fortunate to have an extended stay at Hotel Indigo Savannah. The hotel is in great location with easy access to a lot of activity. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Five Oaks Taproom (restaurant) blends an old school charm with a cool sexy vibe. Normally, I avoid specials at any restaurant, but Executive Chef Chris' right hand man,... More

I was greeted by Jarod,Valet employee, and he made me feel welcome and he was so helpful to me. With it being my first time to area ,he gave me directions to all the places he thought I would be interested in seeing. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly and the housekeeping staff was great. This is a top... More

Hotel got renovated earlier this year, if I'm not mistaken! Very beautiful and modern. Only con is the rooms/bathrooms are a little smaller other than that definitely worth the money! Not to mention the fact that you're able to walk everywhere. Would recommend!

My wife and I stayed two nights while visiting our daughter who is in college. The location, feel and condition of the hotel were all excellent. At check-in, Rachel upgraded our room and sent a bottle of wine to our room. The bar staff were the best we've encountered anywhere in our extensive travels. Shayne and Jason went above and... More

Beautifully renovated hotel. Even the elevators are beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and the location is perfect. Right on the square and across the street from the river walk (you can see the river from the rooms). Can't ask for a better location hotel to visit one of the most beautiful cities in the south.

First off, this hotel is in an excellent location. Within walking distance of the historic city market, river walk, and historic district. The hotel is decorated in an nice urban eclectic style. Hotel Indigo has tremendous potential but falls short in some areas. We stayed two nights at Indigo. When we got to our room, it had a weird odor,... More

This hotel was right in the middle of everything you would want to see in Savannah. Great rooms, just a little small if travelling with anyone. Staff was friendly and room service was incredible! Tip: Vallet your car!

Stayed there a couple of months ago for one night with my family! Hotel did a great job renovating! We got a complementary upgrade to a king suite with a pullout sofa! Suite looked clean, spacious sitting area, with 2 TV sets, Keurig coffee maker and a very comfy mattress! Location is unbeatable as you can walk to the River... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
