Enjoyed staying at this hotel for a night while traveling to visit family before the holidays. All of the staff were attentive and delightful. Mix of modern and historic decor in hotel was a good combo. Great location to walk quickly to River Street or Ellis Square and grab good local food and drinks. Definitely plan to stay again the...

My stay was wonderful! We had one issue with our room but the front desk manger, Jasmine handled it ASAP! Also, I hate when hotels only have Valet parking, but Dre, Chanel, Nathan, and Adrian always made us a priority!! We will definitely return!!

We have been living around the Savannah area for three years now and have never stayed here! Wish we would've sooner! Jasmine helped us at the desk and she was amazing. Thanks Hotel Indigo for the amazing staff and the upgraded king suite you guys gave us for the evening! Can't wait to go back again for the night/weekend!

Had an awesome stay here. Fun and family friendly areas easily within walking distance. Many restaurants and ample shopping opportunities as well. Beautiful parks and architecture within blocks of the hotel. Pedestrian only City Market is only 2 blocks away with live music outside. Great bar in the hotel with awesome bartenders. Ask for Shayne and Jason!

Loved this hotel! The staff including guest checkin, valet, bartender - all top notch in that they were fast, efficient, friendly but not too friendly. The room put it over the top however with comfortable beds, perfect pillows, easy to control temperature, a Keurig, but the ABSOLUTE BEST....The shower. It was amazing; the perfect use of space with a double...

We were just passing through Savannah and stayed over night. The check in was quick our room was clean and the hotel was very swanky. I would highly recommend a stay. We did not dine here or use amenities but we will be back for a longer weekend.

I stayed at the hotel for years when it was the Inn at Ellis Square. The Indigo has naturally spiced things up with an excellent bar, new look at the check in counters, nicer rooms and suites, and a generally more elegant and polished look. The service was great and the on-site restaurant was great and a really good addition....

Suite was quite nice and with the exception of hearing truck traffic, we had a lovely stay. Katrina took care of our room and was a joy to exchange chatter with in the mornings! She is a keeper for sure. The location of the hotel was ideal. We were on the 4th floor and could see the river and cargo...

My dad and I traveled to Savannah for a wedding and stayed 3 nights. The standard room did not accommodate us comfortably - these rooms are cramped, do not offer sitting options or space for toiletries. It will be fine for people that are going to be spending 99% of their time out. We upgraded to a suite - gained...

This hotels location was perfect, everything was in walking distance for us. The staff is very friendly willing to help and answer any questions or concerns, and cost was reasonably priced. Hotel Indigo was an overall great pick.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
