Great location. Wonderful staff. Very very clean room. I'm very picky. This was a great hotel. Close to everything. Parking is valet, which I don't care for but necessary because it so close to everything. Little bar in the lobby with very friendly staff.

Just by the stroke of luck we found an empty room at this hotel while traveling from Florida to Virginia and boy were we ever satisfied! The hotel is perfectly located in the historic district about a block from shops, restaurants, nightlife-- pretty much everything you'd want if you're staying in the historic district. The hotel staff was more than... More

My family of four stayed the night here while passing through to Florida. Very nice moderate hotel. Close to the river front, restaurants , and shops.(walking distance) Our room had two queen beds and the room was pretty tight. Other than that the room was clean and served its purpose. I would stay there again.

We had a great time at this hotel. We had an issue with another hotel in the area cancelling our room and we didn't arrive until around 11 at night with a sleeping 3 year old. We had to find another hotel quickly. We called Hotel Indigo and they accommodated us perfectly. The hotel is REALLY nice. It was a... More

Stayed for a long weekend with my best friend. All I can say is GORGEOUS! The staff is courteous and helpful. The hotel has been recently renovated and is beautiful with rustic modern design. The restaurant had a great breakfast buffet. And the bar was so cute. The beds are very comfortable. And Savannah itself was so much fun. The... More

This place is great. Very friendly people. Followed up on a minor concern I had. Was allowed an early check in. Room was spacious and very tastefully decorated. Perfect location. Trying the restaurant In the morning! Took a taxi from the airport. Was quick and easy. No need for a car.

On our way home from our vacation we stopped off in Savannah and stayed at this Hotel Indigo. What I loved about this hotel is its location and ability to walk to everything we wanted to see and do. The vibe at this property is "groovy" in a hipster way. The music playing in the lobby and at breakfast is... More

Have to pay $25 for mandatory valet parking but don't tell you this before hand. Rooms are small and cheaply decorated. Sink is in bedroom area that is just weird. Bathroom is TINY! We visited this hotel 2 years ago when it was under a different name and designed differently. Loved it then, not now. Won't be back.

Wow! So cool to have an authentic boutique hotel in downtown Savannah next to City Market and across Bay Street from the river. Cool bar, patio, restaurant and rooms. Step outside and you're in the middle of people watching and bars, restaurants, shopping. Our second trip to Indigo in a month. Our Go To hotel from now on. Try it,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Like our Spanish-moss-draped city herself, Hotel Indigo® Savannah Historic District is the perfect mix of old and new. Our building—known to locals as the "Grand Lady on the Bay" due to her sweeping size—was once 19th-century mega-merchant Simon Guckenheimer's dry goods storage house and shop, which was filled with everything the South made best, from tobacco to canned peaches. The 1940s and '50s brought a grocery store with the city's first true coffeehouse. Now, the Grand Lady stands as a charming boutique hotel with modern style in a vibrant Ellis Square setting that reflects the essence of Savannah's renowned historic district. After a delicious breakfast or cocktail at our lobby bar, immerse yourself in our neighborhood's rich culture at City Market, located right next door. Then embark on one of the many fascinating tours Savannah has to offer; at least five of the city's iconic squares are located within roughly five blocks of our front door. Learn about the city's storied past before making your way down original cobblestone paths to famous River Street, where you can watch ships enter and exit the harbor while savoring Southern comfort food in restaurants that were once historic warehouses. ... more   less
