Your satisfaction with this hotel will depend on your "must haves" for any hotel. If you are not wifi dependent, this will not matter to you but Wifi/cell service Only In Lobby! No coffee maker in room (free coffee in lobby). Very clean comfortable room which would have been more comfortable if I could sit in bed, have coffee in... More

As soon as I walked into the beautiful lobby of this grand, old hotel, I knew I had made the right choice. The dark wood, massive fireplace, beautiful center stairway and lovely stained glass windows transport you back to a grander time and place. We were visiting that part of Pennsylvania to see Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, two Frank Lloyd... More

This venerable mountaintop inn has seen a great deal of history and has been lovingly maintained without ruining its authenticity. Friendly staff, family feeling, clean well-appointed old-fashioned rooms (with crisp white sheets & snowy towels), picture windows (from 2nd floor you can see across five counties), rocking chair porch, covered verandah, local flavor, large rustic beamed lobby with huge fireplace....... Passed this place by many times as it was too funky. But this time, we stayed two nights so we could visit Falling Water nearby about 25 minutes. Hotel has a some renovated bathrooms. But still tacky bedspreads. A new pool, big deck, hot tub, cleaned & painted restaurant overlooking the valley for sunset dinner. But still not 3 stars;... More

We have been to the Summit Inn several times for lunch. We are never disappointed. The food is always good and the view on the outside patio is quite nice. Very reasonable. It's worth taking a short hike to see the treehouse.

It has some of the drawbacks of a historical hotel, e.g. not enough outlets and too many steps to climb. But generally speaking, the room updates bring them up to modern standards, e.g., the AC wall unit works well and is reasonably quiet. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The views are just outstanding, and there are lots places... More

Yes, the property is old and on the historic registry but the grand lobby and staircase harkens to past glory days. The staff at the front desk, on property, and in the dining room are very accomodating and professional. The rooms leave something to be desired however but are clean and functional. No HD television and no wifi so expect... More

The view from our dinner table at the Historic Summit Inn near Farmington PA was as historic as the Inn itself, we will remember it for a long time. Nicole served our table and was delightful, making the dinner and the view all the more picture perfect. We were looking for a place to escape the heat and the cooler... More

This mountaintop historic hotel is a good place to stay for visits to Fallingwater (20-30 minute drive) and other Laurel Highlands sites. Yes, it shows its age to some extent, but when you're staying in a 1907 hotel, you don't want everything to be modernized. The view down into the valley is absolutely beautiful, especially from the outside dining verandah.... More

This is a great mid-way point for me and a friend of mine so we grabbed a room after looking at Nemacolin and some other full service resorts. The price is right and there is nothing wrong with this well-loved property. A fantastic front porch and delightful common spaces await you - with great breezes and views of the valley.... More
