We chose to stay here because of its proximity to inner harbor. While I attended a Convention at the Convention Center (a 10 minute walk) my wife walked browsed the inner harbor shops and sights. There is self or valet parking for a fee below the hotel and the Galleria Mall is in the building as well. Nice rooms and friendly staff. The lobby was also a great place for a quick drink with colleagues. Enjoyed our stay!

Michelle Plowden was the greatest in the 12th floor club lounge. Customer service was BETTER than Chick-fil-A. I enjoyed going up for breakfast daily. Hated to leave, but go by to see her if you are a club member. Sylvia from Alabama

From the Front desk to the Concierge Lounge, I received impeccable care and attention. The hotel has been recently redone and it is very upscale, clean, and comfortable. There is still a slight odor in the hallways from perhaps all the new restoration. The tv (which was large) misidentified me. Sadly, the channels offered were fewer than I expected (no HBO or Showtime). The Concierge Lounge recently redone no longer carries straws or plastic bottles (water is available by filling glass carafes). The room itself was bright, functional, and upscale. The staff was very helpful, especially with all the new machines. While the stay was near perfect, the major and serious flaw was the hotel restaurant, Watertable. The breakfast buffet served cold food in their chafing dishes (they don't work or no one checks the temp?) Dinner was overly expensive but very underwhelming (probably the worst meal I ever had at a Marriott/Renaissance property. Stay at the Renaissance and be pampered. This is the best location for the Inner Harbor. But skip the restaurant. Fogo de Chao is about two blocks east where you will spend the same money but will have a truly wonderful dining experience that you can and will remember and brag about.

Angela at the front desk was professional, efficient, and personable all at the same time. My husband and I live in the area, but we were spending a kid-free night away to celebrate our anniversary. The rooms are beautifully renovated and very quiet. We were worried because of crime in the area and recent news stories of crime right there at Inner Harbor, but we felt nothing but safe the entire time. Angela even sent us chocolate covered strawberries for our occasion. Thank you for such a wonderful night out!

We arrived at five pm, thinking that our room would be ready for us, but instead of finding our room ready we were told that we could change for our business meeting in the downstairs bathroom (which was dirty). I was surprised at the lack of desire to make things right, since we have stayed at many Marriotts over the years and are loyalty customers, but this was not the case at this hotel. The room, once we got in, was fine, but we were warned not to go out after dark as the neighborhood can be dangerous. Valet parking is 46.00 a day and self-parking is 35.00 a day for hotel guests, across the street the open public parking is 30.00 a day.
