Myself and the wife stayed here a while back, really great hotel. Room was large and comfortable but the staff were the real treasure here! We had a problem with the AC unit, the guy that came to fix it was hilarious, we chatted with him for a good while as he fixed the unit, great character! We'd love to go back to this great hotel
This is the place to stay in Baltimore: for its friendly staff, it's relaxed ambiance, it's perfect location downtown, within easy walking distance of Mount Vernon and the Inner Harbor. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and it has an old-world elegance that is worth savouring. When I am in Baltimore, I will stay at no where else.
We were there during the Corona virus Panademic. The staff was unbelievable. They helped to make our stressful trip much better. We were there for (non-virus related) J. Hopkins medical. From the General Manager to the Front desk, everybody went out of their way to make us confortable during these times. The old hotel is in great shape, and we can't wait to return under better circumstances. (even thou we are Steeler fans LOL). Thanks so much, especially Onahlea. (GM) You can't fake sincerity.
This is a very beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. It is about a 20 minute ride from the BWI Airport. The room was spacious and comfortable. They have a bakery in the restaurant too. You will enjoy it.
Nothing but top of the line service from the time I arrived till the time I left. Vallet was prompt. Front desk was very friendly and attentive to needs and requests. Room was clean and spotless. Looking forward to staying here again when I am visiting Baltimore.
The Staff was very professional. I needed some help at the Bar. Joey Gavino went over and beyond to help me.He wanted my experience to be a remarkable one, and it was because of him. Make sure to look for him he will take very care of all visitors. Thank you Mr. Joey.. Make this your next stop.
If you are looking for a lovely atmospher, wonderfully located and overall amazing service - this is the hotel for you. I especially had an amazing waiter at their bar named Joey Gauino. He was attentive, quick and very helpful. If you get a chance you should stop by to have a bite to eat, their Mac N Cheese with crab is to die for. And the staff is very nice.
Our stay was pretty good. There were a few things that we hoped better for but the shining star of this establishment is by far Joey the bartender. He treated us with enthusiasm and genuine love that made our stay feel like we were staying with family. He took time to make both of us feel welcome and appreciated. We both left his company feeling uplifted. Thank goodness for souls like Joey the bartender because he makes this world so much better!
Visited LBH in Feb as a part of a large group booking. I was very happy with the room, lounge/bar/restaurant, and in particular with the responsiveness of staff the entire weekend. We had a couple of housekeeping issues that were fixed immediately upon brining up with the staff, on what seemed like a super busy/crazy weekend at the hotel. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others looking for a hotel in the area.
My wife and I chose this hotel because it was so much cheaper than nearby hotels. The Lord Baltirmoe was $79/night, whereas other hotels in the area were mostly above $200. We were visiting our son who lives around a mile away from the Lord Baltimore; but, we were conflicted because we knew the hotel was old, and some reviewers said it was run down and not sanitary. Our experience, though, was *very* positive. We had a corner room, which we gave us a lot of extra space, and there really isn't anything bad I can say about the room, maybe the worst is that the bathroom was cold because the heat didn't reach it efficiently, and the bathroom tiles around the tub/shower were old. But, they were clean, despite being old. The bed in the room was super comfortable, a really high quality mattress. The linens were spotless. The room had beauty and style and we were always extremely comfortable. The hotel was super quiet, we never heard a thing from the street or the hallways The hotel *is* old; in public parts especially, but we didn't care, we enjoyed seeing things in the state a previous generation would have seen them, albeit with a little tarnish. I need to emphasize that everything we came into physical contract with---bed, furniture, bathroom fixtures, furniture in the lobby---was spotless. If you can get a rate anywhere near what we got ($79) and if you want a comfortable place I strongly recommend the Lord Baltimore…
