stayed there only 1 night but very nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and clean. I really liked the fact that the electrical outlets are on the table next to the bed so no more having to unplug at the wall. The breakfast is a full breakfast so such a nice morning meal. I only wish the breakfast went until 11am on the weekends, and not close at 10.

Called for a reservation today. I was offered a rate that I agreed to. I gave credit card information and was told to hold for a confirmination number. After a long wait the agent returned to the phone and told me the rate was no longer available and offered the same room at an increased rate. I said no way I'm only interested in the agreed upon rate. Again told to hold while she checked with her supervisor. After another long wait she returned with the same line, rate not available but we can give you the room at increased rate. I said absolutely not and I want this entire transaction cancelled. I checked my credit card on line and found a pending charge for the room and another charge that showed 0. I'll have to wait and see. Purpose of the room was to visit the Horseshoe Casino but after this experience I will never book another room at this property. I will visit another casino other than Horseshoe in another city!

I have always heard that the Captain of a ship is responsible for his crew. We went to the Holiday Inn Express on Thanksgiving only after we called on 3 occasions to confirm that there would be a shuttle that on Thanksgiving Day that would go to the Inner Harbor. The last call was Wednesday the 27th of November, We are Seniors on a budget and dislike crowds so we thought the holiday would be a nice day to gamble a little and eat a nice meal. We also knew that most taxis do not run on the holiday. We check in and ask to make an appointment to have the shuttle take us to the Hard Rock at the Inner Harbor only to be told the shuttle driver did not show up so we would have to call a taxi. I think the clerk should have called the manager and told him to come and live up to what was promised . We had to waste an hour getting a cab and after we ate we had to stand outside in the cold waiting for a cab. IF we had been told there was NO SHUTTLE service we would have stayed at another hotel. I would NOT stay there again when they failed to live up to their promise. I know that sounds like sour grapes but we stayed there because of the shuttle and I bet some employee of that hotel could have driven us to the Inner Harbor and picked us up as we were promised.

The staff for most of the visit was very friendly. Our room was clean. We did have a serious issue on a Saturday night. The entire hotel is non smoking, but someone or a group on the third floor were having a massive marijuana party. We walked down through the horrible smell to the front desk to complain because no one would answer the phone. I am highly allergic to pot. The gentleman on duty said there was nothing he could do because he was all alone and could not leave the front desk- and that there was NO SECURITY that evening because the staff had not shown up. Very poor experience.

CONS I have confirmation of all taxes and fees included in my payment confirmation. Providing my card information they violated trust and charged me another 50USD at check-in. I found it when I checked my account later. Thre was no consent o payment authorization from my side for an additional 50$. I consider it criminal behavior. Shuttle - manager changed mind and shuttle can be provided since 10 AM. PROS the room looks like on the picture surrounding - no supprising - you get what you can see with google maps
