With few options for travel during COVID as a resident of Washington DC, I decided to take a Christmas-week trip to nearby Four Seasons Baltimore for the first time for my birthday. I'm so glad that I did! Booking through American Express Platinum Fine Hotels & Resorts, I was delighted to be presented with a letter at the Front Desk check in highlighting the extra benefits. I loved having the breakfast credit and the 4 PM late check out that was definitely useful. Plus, I did get a beautiful upgrade to a suite. The overall check in process by Sara at the Front Desk was friendly, efficient and very welcoming, with a required touch of COVID necessities (temperature check etc). The hotel is located in a quiet area in downtown Baltimore called Harbor East. There are a number of shops and restaurants nearby and a walking path right along the water. The hotel is a modern, fairly new (2011?) high-rise yet very very tasteful with subdued, beautiful luxury. This is not ostentatious, although high-end at the same time. There is a relaxed casualness, especially with the breathtaking water views and general calmness. There is a fitness club and pool on the fourth floor which I imagine is quite the place to be in the warmer months! I was fortunate enough to get upgraded to a gorgeous and spacious corner executive suite on the 17th floor. The views were incredible! I loved having the separation of the bedroom from the living area. The suite featured a unique layout with an extra hallway leading to a large master bathroom and large closet. The two TV's are huge! There was a complimentary Nespresso machine plus various items on offer for sale (snacks, alcohol etc). The living area features a half bathroom by the entrance. I later slept like a charm in the super comfy bed. First up was a sports massage in the spa. I was greeted warmly and Alberto (name?) showed me to the locker room where a shower was required before the treatment. The sports massage by Mario was excellent and well, well worth it. He was extremely adept and asked several times if the pressure etc was to my liking. Mario was very empathetic to my needs and purpose of the visit. Thank you very much Mario! As all indoor dining in Baltimore was suspended for COVID, I stayed in and ordered dinner through Room Service. The female staff member who took my order was excellent and was very knowledgeable on the menu and made a number of helpful suggestions etc. The order actually arrived earlier than quoted and Gary was super friendly and set everything up in the room with the utmost professionalism. The crab cake sandwich was particularly delicious, as were the sweet potato fries and sauteed kale. And their famous warm buttery chocolate chip cookies did not disappoint! Breakfast through Room Service was another winner! Chelsea took the order over the phone and again provided suggestions and knew the menu through & through. Again, the order arrived earlier than quoted and Michelle (name?) was wonderful. I ordered a lot with various special requests and everything was executed perfectly and everything was delicious. After having a healthy egg-white omelette, the chocolate chip pancakes were over the top and too, too good! I visited the gym and it was spacious with lots of machines. I wasn't up for a work out but it seemed to have everything you'd need! Plus, 24-hour access is nice (just wear a mask). Check out was quick and efficient. The valet guys had the car waiting just steps from the front door. By the way, be sure to download the Four Seasons Mobile App and use their messaging feature for requests etc. They are super quick with any questions, concerns or requests before and during your stay! It's hard to express the feeling of a place in a review. Essentially, Four Seasons Baltimore is a beautiful escape within a bustling city to relax and enjoy the fantastic amenities and world-class service. I still had a wonderful time even with so many things closed or suspended, so I'll have to come back once things get somewhat back to normal. Thank you very much to everyone at the hotel for an amazing stay!…
We love Four Seasons Baltimore and this is our go to place whenever we visit our daughter who goes to Johns Hopkins. The hotel room is always clean and comfortable even after COVID restriction. The area is very convenient with shops and decent restaurants. We have stayed more than a dozen times in the past two years and we always enjoy our stay.
After being quarantined for months on end, we needed to get away for a night outside of our home. The Four Seasons Baltimore was simply splendid. Every detail was perfect. And the winter village experience was divine. Bravo!
My husband and I stayed at the Four Seasons while I had surgery at Johns Hopkins. Of course, it’s 2020 so all the regular routines are out the window. My husband was at the hotel because , of course, no visitors at the hospital. The staff was so caring and thoughtful. The hotel is so relaxing and comfortable. The hospitality was heartwarming . The Assistant Manager Hannah Houser sent a beautiful tray with hot tea and goodies with a sweet note for me and my husband as I recovered in our room. We will most definitely be back. Thank you for an incredible stay.
My wife and I stayed here last week and we had a great time. We received outstanding service from the staff, the room was very nice, and the food at the restaurants were amazing. We highly recommend for your next staycation.
