Have stayed at this hotel a number of times and each stay is a very enjoyable experience. If you lucky enough to have a room facing the harbor the view is breathtaking. Room facilities are what you'd expect at a Marriott. All the amenities are there. The lobby staff are all extremely professional and friendly. The hotel is close to Fells Point with a lot of restaurants. Will come back to this hotel next time we are in Baltimore.
I have stayed here before but decided to try something new. In this case bad mistake. The hotel I tried to check into first had no laundry service on the 4th of July and thus the beds had no sheets. They projected a 5 hour wait to check in. Needless to say I cancelled and went to Plan B mode. So dialed up the ole Marriott app and booked the 4th of July on the fly. Self parking is right next door with a walk way connecting the buildings. Check was fast and friendly. The room actually enabled me to see fireworks from various locations surrounding the city. Very nice. Yeah I will be back. Ole faithful.
I stayed at this hotel back in 2018 with my family and was less than impressed. It was outdated and not up to its reputation. I decided to give it a try again because it had been renovated in 2019 and I’m glad I did. Everything is modern and convenient on this trip. I was alone and felt safe and comfortable the whole time. I love the new bathrooms with the option for a removable showerhead. The pillows were awful, but I think that’s subjective, haha. Will definitely come back again.
My check-in experience at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront was extraordinary! Kisha was unequivocally the most gracious, attentive, and hospitable front desk representative I have ever met in my over 20 years of traveling. She went way above and beyond to make sure that I received a beautiful complimentary upgrade based on my Marriott status. Next, she went out of her way to recommend a wonderful breakfast spot as we were looking for something in the area. (It was delicious, but the hotel breakfast is fantastic also). She called to follow up on the room as we arrived in the early AM and it was cleaned yet. The room was lovely and clean, with all of the amenities and a wonderful view of the harbor and the buildings nearby. I felt like a VIP! The other front desk staff was friendly also, but Kisha is a bright light. I was able to use the printer in the front, and meet friends in the restaurant near the fireplace for a casual after-work drink. A shout-out to Yanni for her quick assistance with a billing issue! She handled it swiftly and effectively. The only frustration was with the Valet, as they rarely answered the phone so it took 35 minutes to get my car when I finally came downstairs to request it. I will definitely come back.…
Loud, front desk cares less about you, totally not worth the efforts just save yourself, go somewhere else, loud rooms, people don't care about you, only your money and what you are spending, very lazy staff they just don't care anything about you
Decided to stay last minute instead of fighting traffic for a two day conference. The accommodations were just what were needed and I was impressed with the quality of the catering service during the conference. The location was perfect for offsite amenities. Be safe getting to and from the garage to the hotel.
We were in town for a huge wedding block at this hotel. The room was nice and staff was very friendly. They have updated since the last time we stayed here (2016). HOWEVER, how do you not schedule a bartender on a Saturday when USA soccer played at 10AM. What are you doing? You could have made so much revenue with a very full hotel wanted to be able to utilize the bar for the game and for morning cocktails after a night out. Very poor planning. You should be keeping up on what groups are in house and what events are going on in town. I couldn't get any good response from staff either which was also a little frustrating. If I were the manager, I would have hopped behind the bar and opened it to accommodate the many guests looking for a beverage.
Our second stay at this Marriott was very good. The room was spacious, clean, with a wonderful view of the harbor. The desk staff was very friendly. We were here for the Thanksgiving week and entirely enjoyed the visit. We recommend this Marriott and will stay again.
I’ve stayed in this hotel for hundreds of nights in the past decade and it has deteriorated since the pandemic. There has been no concierge lounge available with no other options, the manager aggressively questions the rate made at reservation, and maid service left their own hairs in the bathroom during cleaning.
I have stayed at this hotel several times, most recently in August and October. It’s attractive, clean and very well located on the Baltimore waterfront. Rooms are large and comfortable with especially good rain showers, desk areas for working, a small fridge and great views of the bay. The restaurant serves a nice buffet breakfast with fruit, eggs and omelet bar. Outside, the water taxi is a few steps away. There are numerous restaurants and shops including Whole Foods and Anthropologie within a few blocks. With the exception of the front desk, hotel staff are friendly, helpful, efficient and responsive. Front desk staff are not well trained. They are not as warm or welcoming as at other Marriotts where I’ve stayed. In addition, they often do not their phone. Because of this, I had to go downstairs several times with questions or to ask for extra towels or light bulb replacement. They also could not make a functioning room key for me after key they supposedly coded for late checkout did not work. I then had to make four return trips to front desk because staff repeatedly gave me malfunctioning key cards that did not even allow me on elevator. They finally called security guard who was gracious, went upstairs with me and let me into my room. It was a stressful end to a nice weekend because I was being picked up for airport and was running late. I like this hotel and will stay again. I would rate it five stars if front desk provided better service. …
