Young lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately thats where it ended. We were in one of the better king rooms facing the harbor. Room was dark with a postage stamp balcony, sheets were dry rotted and had holes all over them and to top it off the cable service went out and we were told it was going to take 3 days to repair. For all that they graciously reduced the bill by a meager 10%. Stayed one night and went across the harbor to the Marriott for the remainder of the stay. Which was excellent.

The decision to spend the night at this hotel was last minute.. we needed a staycation that would allow us both to return to our professional realities with little to no hassle. We planned to enjoy whatever phase the state was in and just get outside. Our visit was short, sweet, and well worth it. The Baltimore harbor and the surrounding area was filled the hustle that makes you appreciate life. The view from the balcony allowed us to stay safe and still enjoy the simplicities that make life worth living. The room was clean and everything was in its place. While we did not have an opportunity to enjoy the convenience of the restaurant choices( Ruth Chris/ Mc Cormick and Schmidt’s) the visit was still filled with the ambiance and professionalism that would be expected. It was nice to experience the old comforts seemingly forgotten about amidst the “new normal” that has been brought on with COVID-19. We will be back again....

The room was never cleaned. There was a contact lense there my entire stay, towels were never replenished, some towles were dirty, including what looked like blood, holes and rust throughout the bathroom, etc. And, they want to charge for the free breakfast, even if you have status. Look, there is so many options in this area. Just don't pick this place.

My stay was wonderful at Pier 5 Hotel. Breakfast was off the charts everyday. They have the typical things like coffee, fruit, cereal, toast, etc. The best was the made to order eggs though. Chef Monte made me the best omelet I’ve had in a long time. Cooked to perfections with cheesy goodness oozing out the sides. Way better than my college food. :) Tyeasher also had amazing service for cleaning up and such—she was quick to offer help. Overall, a pleasant experience here.

We booked a room with a harbor view and a balcony. We paid a premium price for this. The view was lovely, but the door was in such bad condition that we could not open it, thus making the balcony useless. This was very disappointing since we paid extra to have this. Additionally, I went to take a bath after a long business week in DC. After filling the tub, I noticed white flakes floating in the water and had to let it drain. I filled it up again and still had large white flakes floating in the water. I realized that it was paint flaking off of the tub. I had to scrub the tub with the water in the tub to pull off loose paint, drain it a second time, and then refill it before I could take a relaxing bath. Even then, there were still white paint chips floating. Honestly, I was looking forward to this hotel, splurged to have a nice room, but was very disappointed with our experience. The only thing that was nice was the bed. It was very comfortable and the staff were very nice.
