First, let me tell you that I recommend the Veranda as the best place to stay in Fort Davis. It is centrally located near all the stores and restaurants right across the street from the historic court house. Beautiful old inn (built in late 19th century) that is well appointed. Complete with original flooring that talks to you when you... More

I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and would recommend the Veranda. I would like to address a few of your points. Although you were not greeted personalty, most of our guests are. You arrived on a Wednesday which is day I try to partially take off, since it is the slowest day of the week for us. (Even... More

We had a great stay at the Veranda and really enjoyed taking in Fort Davis. We were able to book the Garden Cottage so we had a little more seclusion which was nice. Very charming and peaceful out here. My only negatives would be the dog that lives on property and the cheap toilet paper, but that's just me being... More

The Veranda Inn is a quiet small inn. The room was comfortable. We had Suite 8, which is on the west end of the building. It has its own small window unit AC. It provided adequate cooling on a very hot day. There were ceiling fans in both rooms. It was comfortable. The other parts of the building have central... More

We made an online reservation a few days beforehand, and arrived at 4:30 ish to the inn. There was a full note on the door that explained where we should go and what amenities were provided. The rooms had: - Sitting room with table and sofa - 2 queen beds - Minifridge - small-ish shower - nice decor Friendly service... More

Four generations of our family stayed in this charming bed and breakfast, and found it to be a very nice place for all ages. The younger members enjoyed watching the stars from the garden appreciating the very clear sky, and we all thoroughly appreciated the delicious breakfast and going away treat bag.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this historic inn. The furniture is antique and our room was spacious. The inn has central air and the temperature was comfortable. Breakfasts were outstanding and the afternoon cookies were delicious. Coffee, tea, and water were always available. Restaurants are within walking distance. The owner offered suggestions which were very good. We might return... More

The highlight is the sweet lady that prepares breakfast. She is adorable. It is also nice to have breakfast with other guests and visit. Make sure you walk out back and meet Tipsy and look at the view.

For the price point, the older rooms need some "loving"... Better mattresses and linen that actually smell clean ON the beds would be a great start! We have stayed here twice in the past few months now. Loved the house in the back. However, when we stayed in the main property, in a row with two twin beds, the beds... More

We stayed at the Veranda Historic Inn last Saturday night with a group of friends, and all in our group found it very comfortable and pleasant. The rooms are nice, with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. Very convenient parking and owners were welcoming with brownies, tea, and coffee. Lastly, we were served a delicious breakfast. I would highly recommend staying... More

Just spent two nights at the historic Veranda Inn in Ft. Davis. This was the oldest hotel in West Texas built in 1883, now a relaxing B & B owned by David Senreiber. We stayed in Suite 8. All the rooms are decorated in Victorian style. Lovely breakfast each morning and cookies or brownies in the afternoon. Beautiful gardens out... More
