We went riding for an hour ride. It was through a 1200 acre ranch. The ride was at a walk, because it was very rocky. I like to go faster but it was really fun to ride through the hilly terrain and see all the native dessert plants. It was really fun desire the slow pace. The guide Cody was... More

We stayed here in our Casita RV one night during our most recent adventure in far west Texas. Prude Ranch is located 6 miles past Fort Davis and on the way to McDonald Observatory. Since we were going to the observatory, it was perfect location. They have cabins and rooms but we stayed in the pull-through section of their RV... More

The food was industrial - canned, frozen and thawed or pre-packed. Not very good. Everything is pretty worn and not particularly clean. Looks like it might have been a cool place at one time. No longer.

We really wanted to give Prude Ranch a great review but.... Don't rely on them for your food. They will cancel and or move the time without notice. And it's expensive. Don't rely on them for on site attractions other than the horse back riding. It was the perfect location to do our day trips though.

The price was right with Passport America and the best thing about this place was the excellent Wi Fi. Probably because we were the only one there. There are a few RV sites but it is a ranch for group camping in bunk houses.

Fun time! beautiful day! 1 hour ride, if you're over 18 you can opt out of helmet if you're an experienced rider. The ride is beautiful but rocky, so consider the helmet. The horses are on cruise control, fall in line with each other and stay on track. Our guide was a wildlife major and very informative. We saw endangered... More

Loved the horseback riding, beautiful scenery, quiet and cozy cabin, friendly folks. Very close to the McDonald observatory, which is very convenient for the star party that ends late at night. Second time stay in this place, still awesome!

I just rented a room last week and was disappointed with my experience. I arrived at night, and had trouble locating the office, especially since the lights were turned off. Another tourist came along and helped. I then could not find my room. I think it would be safer for guests if they added reflective signs and turned on porch... More

I loved Prude Ranch. Everyone was really nice. I felt like a kid at summer camp again. It was so much fun riding horses, running through trees playing paintball, hiking and feeding animals in the petting zoo. The room was clean, the food was comforting and guilt free after a long day playing. The air is fresh and the sunrises... More

This was my first time to West Texas and it was quite an amazing experience. I love the authenticity of Prude Ranch. It is really something. The staff was very helpful and even helped me out when our flight out of El Paso was cancelled. They were very accommodating. Also, the price is great! I will definitely be coming back.... More
