Quaint little no frills cottage. Fridge, microwave, comfy bed, cold ac, cable tv. Clean bathroom. Private little cottage among 5 all together behind a little fence in a cute little yard with outdoor seating. On the main drag. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. Friendly staff. Perfect little quiet stay. No problems whatsoever. Definitely would stay again!... More

We stayed in cottage 5 the big family suite. It was exactly as pictured on the website. The beds were COMFY. It was clean and the courtyard is cute. The location is right in the heart of fort Davis. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed staying here during a cold spell - I built a fire in the fireplace despite not having done it in years. (Your hosts provide the supplies for a small fee.) Cabin was clean, spacious and inviting. Wi-fi worked well - not a given in this area. Not far off the road through town, so you might hear a... More

It's a quaint place in a quiet neighborhood. And the yard is nice with tables and chairs with shade trees. Kelly the owner is super nice person too. Her antique store is fabulous with reasonably priced and well chosen household items. The cottage was very clean, and it was pleasant during the day. But the night time there was deficient... More

My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages while visiting Fort Davis and Davis Mountains State Park. The cottage was extremely comfortable, very roomy, and felt like home. The cottages are also away from the highway. Kelly, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again. The grounds are wonderfully landscaped with places to sit... More

The owner Charles was a true Texan gentleman! What a great little find. Clean comfortable and quiet! We really liked this place and will return some day. Nice towels and linens, each unit has a wood burning fire place and is kept very clean. And for 99 dollars you can't go wrong! We came in around 6:30 in the evening... More

We stayed at the Butterfield Inn for one day in early May and decided to stay again during our recent 4-night visit in August. The office and an adjoining guest room (#5) are on the main street in the center of this small town. The other guest quarters are four small cottages in a semi-circle across a courtyard from the... This place came recommended from coworkers. We will pay it forward and recommend it too. Very friendly staff. Very relaxing place. Super cute little atrium area for chilling outside. Room was very clean and pretty roomy. Kinda wishing we had an extra day to relax here.

The Butterfield is actually a set of cabins, each with its own bedroom and bathroom, on the main street in a quiet town in West Texas. My room was nice, not fancy, but somewhat updated. A few issues were the dust and bugs on the window frame and some minor maintenance issues, and they actually had 1-ply toilet paper, but... More

Loved our stay here. All the rooms are little cottages that are well appointed and comfy. Wifi is awesome. Super convenient to the restaurants in town: Blue Mountain Bistro for dinner and the Fort Davis Drugstore for breakfast. The setting is bucolic and an excellent home base for explorations into the Davis Mountains and the McDonald Observatory. Would absolutely recommend... More
