We stayed here with family on a vacation in the Big Bend area. The rooms were historic and comfortable and our stay was delightful. We will be returning. It was constructed by the CCC in he 1930s and beautifully maintained. It is a real treasure in a very beautiful setting in the Davis Mountains State Park.

Score! It's so easy to see why it's difficult to get a room here! It's a wonderful, friendly, comfortable facility in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed everything about it, the facility, the staff, the restaurant, the pool, the hiking, the sunrise, the outside seating, the friendly and comfortable nature of all we encountered. Would love to spend a week here!

Our family of 4 loved this quaint little lodge, and felt it was a wonderful value. The room was wonderful... rustic, but updated. And clean! The wildlife is abundant and the lodge is close to many walking trails. There are several places to sit and relax around the lodge itself. My kids enjoyed the pool. We stayed in August, and... More

We visited Indian Lodge for three nights on a trip through West Texas. Indian Lodge has a fascinating history and is a beautiful building in the middle of the Davis Mountains. It is remote (although the little town of Fort Davis is only 10 min drive), but you are rewarded with incredible wildlife. We didn't hike in the mountains, but... More

We stayed at this lodge the first night of a week long visit to the Davis Mountains State Park. After a 8 hour road trip, we were ready to relax. The room was so very beautiful. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We especially loved the sliding wood shutters that darkened the room until we were ready to... More

The Indian Lodge is remarkable in that it was built by hand by American workers during the Depression. It has been kept up through the years with modernizations like new bathrooms and central heat/air. The history of the lodge is so interesting and the rooms are beautiful (in a craftsman, lodge style). I stayed in Room 124, with one double... More

I visited Fort Davis for the first time this past weekend, as a friend had to pick up her daughter from a nearby camp. She had booked us a room at Indian Lodge, which is within the park. There are camping & RV spots available for those who want a more rustic experience, but we had room 118, in the... More

Beautiful lodge with a lot of history. Loved staying here. Easy access to nice hikes within walking distance, nice 'cafe' for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure you check out the Observatory when you are in the area and book a ticket for a nighttime Star Party.

We always enjoy Indian Lodge. Our previous stays have always been in the older / original part, but this time we stayed in one of the newer rooms. It seemed cleaner and brighter. The bathroom was a bit small but certainly workable. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Despite the fact that this place is old, they manage to keep... More

Right outside our room was a skunk that was enjoying a stroll around the property. The decor of the room is like a log cabin and pretty roomy. No frig in the room and the restaurant was closed the days we were there. Internet doesn't work in the room. Pool is chilly and surprisingly deep. Nice patio and public areas.... More
