First of all the hotel is in Downtown where all the action is. ITs walkable to shops, restaurants, things to do. Because of its history, its a must do. The price is reasonable, much less than some of the other hotels and it has a unique, elegant feeling to it. Once you enter your room, you feel as though you... More

I walked past the hotel then went in for a drink. It looks like a nice restoration from the lobby. I didn't stay here just popped in for a glass of wine. Ingrid the bartender was the best person and the ONLY saving grace in this bar. It felt like a Hampton inn breakfast room. Clean, but boring as hell.... More

I booked this hotel because it was close to the venue where I was hosting an event. That's really the only "plus". We paid more than $200 for what they called a "King Deluxe". The only deluxe item was the heated tiles in the bathroom. When we walked in, all the windows were open to "cool" the room, I suppose... More

Nice old hotel. We had a nice two bedroom for 209. Clean and tidy with a rooftop communal area that is fun . Other cheaper options of you are looking for something more modern. Good location to walk around to pubs and attractions.

Lovely historic hotel in the centre of town. Our room was quite small but others are larger. Off street parking means a bit of juggling but not a problem. Front of house staff could be a little more polished but were friendly.

I agree with the reviewer who had a bad first impression from the "welcome" she received at the front desk. The same individual must have been on duty when we checked in, not surly but certainly not warm or friendly. What is surprising that it is so out of character with the hotel. We loved the Elliot. The restoration is... More

When we walk through the doors to check in, we received a surly look from the front desk clerk and it didn't get better. She rattled off her spiel, but was really only interested in making sure she got our credit card. We wrote it off as her just having a bad day. They've done a nice job of restoring... More

Our trek through Oregon included two days in Astoria. One of those days was my birthday. What a great place to celebrate. Upon checking in we discovered that our room had a great, great view. We were on the 4th floor on the corner facing the Columbia River. The view was magnificent including watching the constant traffic of barges down... More

My husband and I just spent a night in Astoria, having never explored this historic city before. Friends recommended the Hotel Elliott which is located downtown within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The style and decor is authentic to the period and feels like you have stepped back in time. We chose a room with a King bed--the hotel... More
