While this may not be the most updated hotel we've ever stayed in, it certainly was very clean, comfortable and had one of the best views out of a hotel room we've ever had. Room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast choices were good. We ate bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese seated at a... More

The motel is dated, but the views are really great and the staff is super nice. They helped us find things to do and even gave us free tickets to the museums when my husband told them it was our anniversary.

The front desk personnel need to work on their communication and people skills. Talking trash with an attitude about your guests behind their backs is totally unprofessional. Especially, when the guests you are talking about are only 10 ten away and the staff worker has a very loud mouth and voice that carries. There is never a need to be... More

Positives: - Incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. They worked as quickly as possible to check-in people. - Private balcony was enjoyable. I believe all rooms have the same awesome view of the marina, Columbia River, and the Astoria - Megler bridge. Warning: Can get mesmerizing watching ships pass through the Columbia river mouth. - Room with double queens felt adequately... More

Not fancy by any means but it has everything you could hope for for the price. I think we booked it if 66$ on booking.com we had 2 queen beds and a water front view. The free breakfast is great. Standard bagels, waffles. Hard boiled eggs, yogurt and even smoked salmon. They even have free dvd rental and free bikes... More

This was a great hotel! It was clean and bright with super comfortable beds. It's right on the marina! Close to several good restaurants and pubs. The coast is close by and it was a great price too. I would stay again for sure.

Stayed here along with 3 other couples for my birthday on the last weekend of February Loved the location and the view from all of the rooms. The bed was very comfy. Woke up on our last morning to a rainy and windy storm. That was even fun. Will definitely stay here again when we are in Astoria.

I read the revues and they all agreed each room had great views. The Columbia river, the heroic Megler Bridge, Washington mountains and the moorage in front of the hotel. Few were happy with the cleanliness. That has now changed my room was spotless. The motel is older but in good shape.Because of the view I will stay here again.

This was our 5th or 6th stay here as we love the rooms, the location, the marina right out our balcony, the free bike use, free dvd movies, and cookies in the office and also hot cocoa and tea at all times. They have also added a much better breakfast :) On;ly problem we did have, was a disgruntled maid... More

Tube tv with DVD player that you had to plug in and unplug for the cable to work. Figuring out which of the 3 remotes you needed was a different story. We had a large gap under our door that let in a draft that the base board heaters couldnt keep up with. Forget the continental breakfast. Its more like... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally opened as the Red Lion – Thunderbird Motor Inn and later simply as the Red Lion, the Astoria Riverwalk Inn was the town’s first waterfront hotel, established in the late 1960s. The Port of Astoria owns the facility, and in September 2015 contracted with new local ownership to assume and improve the Riverwalk Inn operations. The new ownership group is comprised of seasoned business management professionals with significant experience in commercial property development and hospitality, including the development and initial launch of the award-winning Hotel Elliott in downtown Astoria. With a new operating team in place since September 2015, literally everything is new at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn. From the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, redesigned dining area and lobby adorned with local, original artwork; the addition of a continental breakfast; extensive landscaping and general updates throughout (including lots of fresh paint!), guests will gain a sense of renewed care and attention to detail. Other complimentary amenities include a business center just off the lobby, upgraded high-speed Wi-Fi, a DVD library and “Beach Cruiser” bikes for exploring Astoria’s acclaimed four-mile long Riverwalk. We think you’ll find changes to the Astoria Riverwalk Inn create an inviting atmosphere for a restful stay on the waterfront. We hope to see you soon! ... more   less
