Another couple and My wife and I booked this hotel so we could explore Astoria and attend the Beer Festival the weekend of Sep24th 2016. We decided to book two theme rooms - "The Cannery" and "The Boat Yard". Both rooms were very clean, had good linens and comfortable beds. The view from the room deck was amazing and the... More

Ashlea at the front desk was so welcoming and accommodating! Decent sized double queen room with balcony overlooking bridge, marina and beyond- a little worn - bur VERY clean- good hot shower and water pressure. Balcony with chairs and table. Extremely comfortable beds with nice sheets and pillows. No elevator. No pool. Small flat screen, DVD player and complimentary DVD... More

This is a simple walkway along the waterfront from the Maritime Museum to the port ( where our cruise docked). You can walk up a block to various shops and a few restaurants, or enjoy the marina, and a great view of the bridge and water in a leisurely stroll. Nothing exciting to do along the way but it is... This hotel was nice. The front desk was helpful and friendly. Our room had a balcony that looked out over the river. The rooms had no air conditioning, which would have been ok if there had been screens on the windows to keep out the bugs. We opened up a small window next to the slider and placed a box... More

This hotel is very over rated by most. Very run down old hotel. Basic breakfast. Very over priced for what I would consider a one star. Interior room needs a full Reno. Very disappointed !!! Caution unless you like to pay a five star price for a one star hotel. Nasty hotel!!!

Fabulous views of the bridge and the boats from the room. Comfortable bed. Complimentary breakfast and refreshments in the "common room" behind the front desk area. Very friendly staff. Each room has a balcony overlooking the boats. Paper/plastic cups in the room - but maybe that's a harbor regulation? Shower was good with only minor temperature fluctuations. Very friendly staff.... We really enjoyed our night at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn and, in general, in Astoria. The hotel appeared a bit motel-like from the front. Never mind. It was clean and comfortable, and our room with its little balcony looked over the water, with lost of boat slips and the lovely Columbia River beyond. The staff at the front desk was... More

This was an hour walk along the Columbia River while the Holland America Cruise Ship Oosterdam was in port. To get into town you would need to find some transportation, and there is a fair bit that comes to the dock.

We stayed at the Riverwalk Inn on our road trip up the West Coast. When I originally booked the reviews had been pretty good, however when I checked the day before there were a lot of not great reviews so we weren't expecting much. The staff were very helpful and we checked in quickly. We chose a ground floor room... More

The hotel was good. The view from balcony is amazing. People would like it sitting there and having a morning or evening tea. There were god options in Breakfast. I like it that they were giving 24 hours coffee or juice. Staffs were very courteous.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Originally opened as the Red Lion – Thunderbird Motor Inn and later simply as the Red Lion, the Astoria Riverwalk Inn was the town’s first waterfront hotel, established in the late 1960s. The Port of Astoria owns the facility, and in September 2015 contracted with new local ownership to assume and improve the Riverwalk Inn operations. The new ownership group is comprised of seasoned business management professionals with significant experience in commercial property development and hospitality, including the development and initial launch of the award-winning Hotel Elliott in downtown Astoria. With a new operating team in place since September 2015, literally everything is new at the Astoria Riverwalk Inn. From the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, redesigned dining area and lobby adorned with local, original artwork; the addition of a continental breakfast; extensive landscaping and general updates throughout (including lots of fresh paint!), guests will gain a sense of renewed care and attention to detail. Other complimentary amenities include a business center just off the lobby, upgraded high-speed Wi-Fi, a DVD library and “Beach Cruiser” bikes for exploring Astoria’s acclaimed four-mile long Riverwalk. We think you’ll find changes to the Astoria Riverwalk Inn create an inviting atmosphere for a restful stay on the waterfront. We hope to see you soon! ... more   less
