After a week of budget hotels we we're very pleased to check in to the Atomic Hotel. The husband and wife (?) at the check in desk were very personable and friendly, going above and beyond to see that we were satisfied with our room checking in. They even had a power point tour of the town and maps to...

Planning a brief escape, I searched for an old standby motel, the Lamplighter, only to find it MIA. What I did find needed examination of the web site photos to verify that the Atomic Motel was indeed the same building right next to the Pig'n a Poke restaurant. What a relief! I tend toward older, tiny-business lodging with an emphasis...

This motel has a fun mid-century modern theme, with more-or-less original baths and exterior plus all-new furnishings, paint & carpet. Super clean and very friendly. Morning pastries are home-made (at least some of the time) and really tasty.

Have stayed at the motel (formally lamplighter) on numerous visits to Astoria. Have been following the progress of the new retro designs and are so excited to get back and see it in person. Always enjoy the friendly staff and great location. Definitely worth checking out!

An amazing 5-night stay at Atomic Motel. Rooms were really clean and wifi was fast. Breakfast of fresh bakery items and coffee. Also, the homemade chowder and chilli in the evenings, made by Barbara, was fantastic and greatly appreciated. But, above all this, the helpful and friendly staff really made this stay special! Dan and Barbara are great hosts and...

Fun atmosphere. Has a 50's vibe. Great service and great price! Had chowder and coffee when we checked in in the evening and pastries and coffee at checkout. Room was nice and very comfortable and clean. Great location in Astoria. Would definitely like to stay again!

Very fun motel, awesome service and donuts and coffee at checkout. A hip 50's ratpack theme and close walking distance to stores and activities. We will definitely come back hen visiting Astoria. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable and had a microwave and mini fridge

I LOVE mid-century modern. The real not the fakey. This has both in a good mix. Adorable rooms with the old mixed with the necessary new( no one wants a shower curtain from the 50's ) . The rooms are small and very adequate. The beds were comfortable. They allow dogs in some rooms which was what we needed. The...

... we knew we were on the right track when we requested a room on the main floor and got #101 .... since we are driving down the coast on Hwy #1 and #101 it was a sign! Small, quaint, didn't hear a sound even on a busy street. Friendly staff, we would stay again!!

We stayed in this hotel one year ago before the renovation. We had a great time then too, but the hotel really looks beautiful now. Such a fun and interesting space. Lots of different people. Definitely one of Astoria's treasures! Thanks to everyone there for such a fun time.
