The appearance of the motel was clean until you got into the room. It wasn’t cleaned, there was genitalia hair on the toilet, the bath tub was so dirty I wouldn’t walk in it with my shoes on. The floor was extremely dirty, bathroom door broken, the beds were not comfortable. Literally the worst stay I have ever had.
OK value for money. Good location, close to restaurants. Parking, WiFi and morning coffee is free. Staff is friendly, efficient. Building, rooms could use serious update and cleaning. Bed isn't too comfy.
The room was ~$80 for a weekday night. OK, so I wasn’t expecting much at that price. The staff was helpful. Room size was adequate with 2 double beds. There was no shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion. Two of the drawers on the 6 drawer piece of furniture were actually sort of falling off, broken. There was a table but only one chair. There was no blow dryer. There was not a single hangar in the closet. I was told they don’t supply hangars. The dead bolt lock didn’t work & a repairman had to come fix it. The phone in the room was disconnected from the cord. Once connected it still didn’t work. A second phone was brought in to replace it but that didn’t work either. I was told they’d been having problems with the phones. There were accessible electrical outlets in the room for charging a cell phone or computer or iPad. I didn’t turn on the tv so I’m not sure if the tv was functional. No microwave, no refuge. No breakfast included. The room reeked of cigarette smell. I kept my suitcase zipped closed so the smell wouldn’t get in my clothes. The air conditioner worked & so did the heater. The toilet didn’t flush well unless the handle was held down for a long time. I have to say the room was not filthy, there was hot water with a good shower head, & since I was exhausted I got a good nights sleep. I saw no bugs or roaches & apparently didn’t get bed bugs. For the low price some would say it’s a fair deal - but I would rather pay more & at least have a blow dryer, shampoo, hangars, & a room that didn’t smell of tobacco. If you’re looking for bare bones at a low price you’d probably find this place fits the bill. It’s conveniently located right off of I-95.…
This location needs a remodel 10 years ago. Rooms are horrible. Should be closed.Don't let the street view fool you. It goes down hill from there. Next to 96, the entrance sucks, they won"t deliver after pizza to Dunn Ave after 5 pm.
I am a frequent traveller and have used several hotels and motels and after staying at this Motel6 in Jacksonville, FL, I can confidently rate this motel as the worst place to stay. This is definitely the first and last time I am ever using this motel and I will be sure to spread the word about not only this location but about every Motel6. First, I booked a non-smoking room with two double beds for 2/13- 2/16, a total of 4 days. I ended staying there only 3 days yet was told I had to pay for all 4 days. Ron, the worker I met there at check in felt really sorry to inform me that they had accidentally booked out all their rooms. I asked him if my reservation was indicated in their system and he said yes, and that he just came on duty and doesn't know how that happened. Though Ron was nice to apologize for what has occurred I felt so disappointed that I had made this reservation two months ago(which was showing in their system) and yet the staff here still booked out the room I had reserved. After a bit of conversation on this irresponsible and ineffective manner of doing business Ron told me there is one room he may get for me but it doesn't have the two beds I had reserved. I asked him if it is a non-smoking room and he said yes. I walked into the room and smelled an awful scent in there. I could tell people had been smoking in this room as this room was extremely stale with this awful smell. In the bathroom and what I discovered there need much to be desired. I wondered if this motel6 has any housekeepers who clean the rooms. The toilet bowl was disgusting! The few towels there were dirty, the bathroom sink counter was absolutely disgusting. Even the telephone in the room had missing buttons. How is a guest supposed to use a telephone with missing buttons to call? The door had no safety latch. This is a health/safety issue and I think this Motel6 must not be licensed to operate in this condition. I am looking into how to get this place inspected by authorities. At night a lot of noise came from outside to the point that I couldn't shut my eyes to sleep. People were standing in the veranda having conversations behind guests' windows in the middle of the night. This is unacceptable. I got stuck at the door each time I tried to get in and had to bring the card to the office each time. This is the worst place I have stayed and will make sure to spread the word about Motel6. Except for Ron, all the staff were extremely rude and showed no manners.…
