This is a recently new member of Marriott's Delta hotels. Not at the Marriott level of quality and dedication that you might be used to. Checking in with a super long line. No bonvoy members' line. Extra towels or baby crib not in room when checked in. No microwave in room. Old safe below the bathroom sink super difficult to use. No laundry bags. When dialing zero from room telephone long waits. Stained towels, wet housekeeping rags left over. Floor not fully clean and A/C filters super nasty. See pics for the last two. Had respiration issues at night due to the A/C nasty filter. Door handle/latching needs fixing. Good and respectful staff. Face Masks mostly used by both employees and guests. No noises above, thanks to top floor placement. No side room issues. Lots of parking. Bar and rest in lobby. Remodeled rooms. Great bed and pillows. Amazing TV selection.

First stay at Downtown Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. Hotel fell short of the Marriot Brand. Rooms small . Not nice for the price paid. Expensive. .Unusual odor in room. No microwave in room . Hotel understaffed. Recommend checking out other hotels in the area.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews but my company likes us to use Marriott brands over others. I have Diamond Elite MarriottBonvoy but since the front desk check in guy never bothered to recognize me as so upon check in, I had to remind him. Didn’t matter. He could have cared less Room is ok. No Do Not Disturb sign on door. Had to ask. Covid precautions seem to be masks always and hand sanitizer bottles by the doors. Fitness center is gross. Was there fir maybe 10 mins alone. Equipment dirty. Only paper towels and a can of disinfectant spray to wipe disgusting dirty equipment down. When someone else came in to workout maskless I left. Apparently free breakfast was to be a granola bar and prepackaged items. Decided to take the points If this hotel is under renovation and want to be a stellar brand, they need to either shut down until the renovation is completed or step service up a notch. Not impressed especially that it doesn’t seem clean and taking appropriate Covid precautions.

We strictly follow Marriott's Commitment to Clean Program with a plan that exceeds the recommendations of the CDC. A detailed letter is provided to guests at check-in that includes details on the following key points: - Face masks required for all staff and guests in all public areas - Hand sanitizer available to guests & staff at over 15 locations throughout the hotel - Floors marked for social distancing at check-in - Clear physical barriers provided at the front desk and lobby bar - Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas - The front desk, credit card readers, and pens are all sanitized after each use - Elevator capacity is limited to 2 people or 1 party at a time - Staff required to regularly wash hands - Regular temperature checks for staff - Contactless check-out - Contactless room service - Digital in-room directory - Individually wrapped toiletries - All linens sanitized in high-temperature wash - All food served in our restaurant, bar, and room service are prepared and packaged in single-use containers, per CDC guidelines - Single-use menus provided for all food & beverage service - Physically distanced seating in our restaurant and bar Our protocols are in place to ensure travelers are confident in our commitment to cleanliness. Should you have any specific feedback on how we can improve, we are always happy to take additional steps as necessary. I’m a bonvoy gold member and i was very disappointed from check in ! The front desk girl was very rude and didn’t even offer my water and told me nothing about this hotel! Then I got to the room and it was disgusting dead bug in the bed and sheets that didn’t even fit the bed also the chair looks like it was chewed up I complained and she told me there were no other rooms available but it showed availability online ! Next morning I called and left a message with Mangement and heard nothing back ! The room was dirty I will post pictures and the cleaning girl walked right in and stared at me ! I yelled and said get out now! Again called the front desk and nothing was done I was pissed and just wanted to check out!! Only one night and never again!

What would have been an excellent stay at this hotel turned into a minor debacle after I left my wallet in the room and checked out early. Later that morning, a manager called me to let me know it had been found. I was already several hours away, so he assured me he would send it to me by overnight courier. I emphasized that it needed to be overnight and he made me assure him that he could bill me for the cost. He said he would take care of it right away. That was Sunday morning, and when it hadn’t arrived by Wednesday afternoon, causing some problems for me, I called the hotel back. The person who answered knew about the wallet and explained that it was in the safe: that manager hadn’t understood the hotel’s policy (which she said had to do with asking the customer to complete an airbill online), and it had been waiting for another manager, who apparently had arrived that morning but hadn’t been told. She placed me on hold to explain this to the new manager, then came back online to assure me that he was going to take care of it. I again requested that it be sent overnight and asked them to send me an airbill #, so I could track the package. Neither the airbill nor the package had arrived by Friday afternoon, so I called again, reaching another manager, who said she was the one who had sent the package, but that no one had explained to her that it needed to be overnight, so she sent it for 2nd day delivery. She did have an airbill number, which I looked up just now (Friday afternoon), only to discover that the package was still at a FedEx facility in Jacksonville with no delivery estimate. During the 5 days that have passed since the initial call, no one has called or emailed me to update me, explain the problem, or apologize for the many lapses in communication and service. I expected more. And I have no idea when my wallet will finally arrive. I'm now hoping for Monday (the 8th day). There were a couple of other relatively minor snafus. The front desk didn’t understand that Titanium members are entitled to a continental breakfast (in lieu of points). And an unexplained charge of $47 appeared on my credit card account – I called, they explained that it was an error and would be removed, which it was. I should add that I’m Lifetime Titanium with Marriott. I had been upgraded to an attractive suite. Hotel staff were mostly efficient and pleasant, especially the housekeeping staff. The location is superb, parking ($10) is reasonable. This is a recently rebranded property with a quirky, dated look. Much of it seems to have been renovated, but there are glaring exceptions, such as the worn-out gym. But it’s a good deal for the money and there is much to like about the place. I just hope my wallet shows up.
