I was really hoping for a four star experience but the hotel is three at best. Upon check on, no recognition of elite status, just "thanks for being a Bonvoy member". I explained to the lady that "Bonvoy" was a generic term and that I was Titanium. She seems confused and would never acknowledge my status. Maurice was excellent by the way The beds in the room were terrible! Like sleeping in a valley. You could tell the mattresses were old and never rotated. No doors on the cabinets and the bathroom door was cracking. Check out was excellent and that lady was very professional. I was charged $17 for internet and she fixed that. I would not stay here again. Train your staff on the Bonvoy levels and update the rooms. Titanium Elite (Lifetime) Check in 11/30 Room 1123

Abysmal customer service from the start. I recently joined the Marriott elite boundless club and received a $300 e gift card to put towards my hotel following the instructions. I presented the gift card email to the front desk and was told because of renovations, their gift card machine was down without any kind of remorse or providing any other options to apply the e gift card. With a family of four we had a lot of luggage and stuff to carry to the room. I noticed that there was no bell hop cart to help. I asked if there was another one around she said she was gonna try to call for one but never did we ended up carrying everything to the room. later on I tried to ask another associate about excepting the e gift card to go towards the room. He said that we are able to do it and that only a manager can do it and that They’ll be here tomorrow. I came down the next morning to find the same person behind the desk and gave me the same answer again I asked for a manager she said I’m a supervisor and continue to refused to get me a manager. Then I proceeded to call customer service and was told that there should be no problem excepting my gift card and stat that she will send an email to the general manager. I continue to get no aid to accepting my gift card. I called back to customer service. They said that in about two days I’d be hearing from the manager to apply my gift card. Still no word from anyone to accept e gift card.

I figured I should tell you because no one else at Marriott will. I am in town for a business meeting and conference. I specifically arrived a day early in order to spend some time by the pool. I live in a cold climate & could not wait to get some much-needed sun. No one informed me at booking or check-in that the pool was closed for construction. I donned my swimsuit & skipped to the 4th floor verging on glee. Closed. I called the front desk to inquire about alternate outdoor spaces on the property, such as a roof deck. None. An agreement with a local hotel to use their facilities? No. I could try the local YMCA, I was told. Do they have an outdoor pool? I don't know, you could check. Had I known in advance, I would have either rented a car so I could go to the beach, or I would have stayed at another hotel. Marriott, anticipate meeting your guests expectations! Be proactive. When you realize you have fallen short, find a way to keep your guests happy. Horrible.

Hotel was good. Classic. Aging but still in really good shape. The air in the room could have gotten a little colder. Juliette's bistro was very solid. Dined there both nights I stayed and was very impressed with the food both nights. Amy was tremendous too, and great at managing everything service related even up until close.

Raffy, the receptionist associate, was courteous, friendly and professional!!! We highly commend him to Marriott management. We would return to the property because he made our stay especially special! Unlike the valet manager whom was a nightmare to deal with. We stayed at the property from March 9-11. All the valet staffs were very amiable and professional from our check in on Friday to Sunday. As we were about to leave the property on Monday, we called to have our car brought out. The valet associate knew us and was ok to give us the key to our car but his manager demanded that we showed her the car ticket and an id!!! My husband was at the valet desk frustrated as he never had any encounter like this before. The Valet Manager did not wear her name tag but claimed that she was the manager of the dept, further threatened my husband that she will put our name on the valet registry to forbid us using valet parking going forward! That was a hiccup from a wonderful stay to have her spoiled our vacation. The property and its staffs were exemplary except for the manager of the valet department! I am giving it 5 stars because I do not want to penalize a property because of one bad apple!

I was in town for the Gate River Run. Amy Seus was our server on 3/2/24 for dinner. Party of 7. Excellent service, explanation of menu items, recommendations, and addressing dietary restrictions. Food was excellent. Octipus, crispy salmon, chicken, egg rolls.

My recent stay at the Marriott Jacksonville hotel was an enjoyable experience overall. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the amazing breakfast at the hotel restaurant, where our waiter Caleb provided exceptional service. Although the hotel is older, it is well-maintained and very clean, which I greatly appreciated. Additionally, as someone who values a soft luxury lifestyle, I found the accommodations to be comfortable and accommodating. However, there was a minor inconvenience during our stay when the windows in my room were being cleaned, obstructing the view that I had upgraded to. I promptly informed the manager, Karlin, who swiftly offered an alternative solution, allowing us to capture beautiful content despite the temporary setback. One of the unique aspects of our stay was the opportunity to film a sunrise massage video, as my boyfriend is a licensed massage therapist. This added a special touch to our experience and provided memorable content for our travels. As I continue to travel extensively this year and expand my repertoire of reviews, the Marriott Jacksonville hotel has left a positive impression and would be a consideration for future stays in the area.
