I booked the property for a client hosting a VIP NFL keynote speaker. He was so pleased with the service from start to finish ---- and even gave the hotel staff and Yolanda Bradley (Business Travel Manager) a shout out at the event! The room was very clean and the property well maintained. In his words --- everything was platinum! I will definitely use this venue for lodging and events in the future.
All staff was very friendly, professional and did their best to see that we had an enjoyable stay. The restaurant in the hotel was very good! We ate dinner and had breakfast in the morning and both were fantastic! Also, when we ate dinner I left my phone at the table and my phone was ringing as I walked in our room. It was the front desk telling me that staff at the restaurant had turned it in!!
I love the pillows I love to get them for my house Need microwaves for every room Beatiful view of the city Great location I would love to come again and see a show right across the street and the performances art center
Hotel was lovely and clean but very old fashioned! The bar and restaurant did not have many choices and struggled to find something to eat. Staff were lovely but the hotel needs some renovations and to also not use so much air conditioning as the whole place was freezing!
Tony, the bell captain, is an absolute gem! Friendly, courteous, incredibly helpful with service (including coordinating valet service). The front desk personnel were also helpful, especially when addressing issues accessing the internet. However, the bar/food service needs intervention. We had very slow service in the bar, so had time to watch people at the host desk in the restaurant stand for five minutes or more waiting for someone to appear to seat them. The manager/host actually walked by and looked at them, then kept going and disappeared behind the bar before eventually reappearing. Another couple ended up leaving the restaurant while we watched. While we know staffing is an issue, this appears to be a management issue to not even acknowledge someone is waiting. We will be back because of Tony, but not to the restaurant. Also glad to see renovations are planned, the rooms are comfortable but a bit tired.…
Great hotel. Everyone has been very friendly. Hotel rooms are very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I don’t know why trip advisor makes me use 200 characters. What else can I say- it was nice
You expect more than this when you pay Marriott prices. The staff was not prepared for the guest list. In fact, the facilities don’t seem capable of handling guests. There is no airport shuttle. The restaurant only has a handful of tables for dinner even though there are many more tables in the room. We waited for a hostess way too long. Went to the bar in frustration and service was so bad there we walked out. We went to the hotel pantry for some dinner - anything at that point - and all we could find was popcorn and some candy bars. This place gives the Marriott chain a bad name. I was very dissatisfied with this location.
The hotel has great bones, but it is definitely in need of an refresh/update. I believe they are in the process of doing so because they had the mood boards in the lobby displaying the design concept. The room was clean, and the beds are comfortable. The restaurant is under renovation because they weren't open for lunch. However the bartender gave great recommendations for places that were close by. He also advised that they do offer breakfast and dinner options. I didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant because I happened to show up late for both options but I did have drinks at the bar. I ordered an Old Fashioned and in my opinion, it was just OK. While there, I spoke to a few of the other patrons and they said the food was pretty good. But I think because of how busy they were, there was a little bit of a wait. Overall, I would stay at the property again.…
I stayed at the Marriott for a conference. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, a bit dated overall overall. The rooms were not always quiet, as you could hear other doors on the hall closing and opening The pool was beautiful, would have been nicer if it were warmer. The exercise room was not very big and stuffy but got the job done. You do have to pay a lot for parking, and the restaurant was not cheap-I didn’t eat there. The staff were very hospitable. As a woman, I didn’t want to walk around outside of the hotel by myself at night.
Stayed over during the Gate River Run 15K race. Excellent location and facility. We will be back. We ate at the restaurant inside and the food and service were great. Parking is very easy and close by.
