Great location and nice rooms! We got in late so did online check in and got the mobile key but the valet was very friendly! Everything was clean and comfortable. Convenient to walking along the River and the market and symphony and museums. Would recommend.
My hotel room was very clean and so were all the common areas. All the staff throughout the hotel and restaurant were very vice and accommodating. I will definitely return to this hotel when I come back to Jacksonville. Thanks again!
This was a Delightful stay. Superb service. Gorgeous view of the river. Refined. And stylish furnishings, spacious, very clean. Loved it. Breakfast buffet was hot and delicious. Perfect spot in heart of downtown
This hotel although a bit older is well maintained and Nachay the front desk clerk was amazing! Made my experience even more enjoyable after a negative experience with four points baymeadows… the general manager there is very nasty and rude… thankfully that wasn’t the case at Marriott Jacksonville
The staff to the room was excellent. Thanks for a memorable weekend. This was my son's graduation weekend from JU and this was the same hotel we stayed the day he started his Journey. How befitting that he ended his journey and we stayed at the same hotel. Thanks for the memories. Priceless!
While the outside of the property isn't special, the lobby and room were beautiful. The staff were AWESOME to work with. Super friendly and knowledgeable. I requested an early check-in and was able to get my room by 9am.
Marriott just recently bought this hotel and it is obvious there is a lack of leadership. Food and drinks take over an hour just to order. Staff is very professional, but they lack proper staffing numbers and guidance. The rooms also need maintenance. My sick kept backing up. Drawers would not close properly. I wish them luck.
Rooms need to be updated. Someone was smoking Marijuana in the room next to. I could smell it. The staff is pleasant and helpful. It would be nice to have more staff for check out purposes when there are large group conferences.
Intown to celebrate my birthday. We arrived about 2.5 hrs early before check-in time. I knew the room wouldn't be ready and I was okay with that. I had a special request put in for a pet free room and Matt went above and beyond on making sure that we had a pet free room, due to allergies from pet dander. The room was nice, but you can tell some areas needed a little TLC/Updating. I was told Marriott took over the Property about a month ago, so I'm assuming Marriott will remodel the property to their standards. Tameka at the desk is amazing, excellent customer service. MATT and TAMEKA, YOU GUYS ROCK! They do have a pool on the 4th floor. (Dusk to Dawn) Microwave on the 9th floor for guest use They have a restaurant called Juliette's (Seafood) looks nice. (Didn't Dine) I had reservations outside of the property. The Fitness Center 24hrs is nice. Kudos to the Valet Department. At Check-In on Friday, there was 3 weddings and guest coming in town for a Concert at a near by arena. It was a madhouse, out there and the Valet team handled it with poise, like they been there done that. The didn't panic or seemed overwhelmed. Cons of the stay: There was times that, the front desk phones would ring w/o an answer. I had to use the Marriott mobile app to chat with the staff when I had to request anything or ask a question. I received quick responses that way The hot water in the shower was hit or miss on the first night. ( I didn't complain, I figured it was because everyone was using the showers, to prepare for the wedding events.) My suggestion: Get rid of the glass in the rooms that cover the tables. Even though Housekeeping cleans the rooms it makes the room look like it was cleaned properly. I know you guys were just bought by Marriott, but these are just my opinions. I'm pretty sure Marriott will change a lot moving forward.…
Very nice hotel with friendly staff and a great bar. So convenient to Florida Times Union venue across the street. I recommend staying the night here instead of making the drive home after an enjoyable evening at the theater.
