This hotel is my favorites when I’m in Jacksonville on business. It’s clean, the staff is friendly, and is well kept. It is also walking distance to several restaurants. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and the showers are huge. I like the room layout as there is an entry and you don’t see into the room when the door is open. There isn’t a true closet, just a little nook with a curtain. The beds are very comfortable and the hotel is quiet. Beware that the numbering for the rooms is a little odd and you may have to venture a little further down the hall than you think to find your room. The hotel has a comfortable lounge area and bar as well. Parking is on the side and rear of the building and not as bright as I’d like it at night, but it doesn’t feel unsafe.

Hotel's Favorite
On a recent trip to help my mother in law move, my wife and I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Indigo in Jacksonville. We’d happily stay there again. It was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable.we didn’t have our dogs with us but would have no problems bringing them next time. We saw many people with pets, large & small. I love that this hotel not only allows but welcomes dogs. That’s so great to see. There’s plenty to do and see around the hotel. We ate at a lot of great places while we were there. We didn’t have a chance to eat at the hotel but will certainly do so when we book again. Since my mother in law lives on Jax beach, we typically stay at the beach hotels. The prices have gotten pretty insane close to the water so we didn’t mind driving a few miles to save hundreds. I’d recommend Hotel Indigo to anyone visiting the Jax, Atlantic, Neptune, Ponte Vedra area.

Actually the hotel is very nice. My husband and I stay here whenever we come to Jacksonville. Honestly, I was truly insulted at check-in when the Asian lady at the front desk insisted I show her my "Government" card for which gave us the discount. I don't remember reserving using a government rate. I always us AAA or any of the others that give just about the same discount. Nevertheless, she asked for proof and of course, I didn't have the card. She was rather demeaning and insisted that I present the card. Fortunately, all three of my adult children worked for the government and one showed her card. Of course, I told her I didn't make my reservation saying I worked for the government, but I had the other cards........I just didn't like her condescending attitude. She, being the first encounter at the hotel, started me off with a bad attitude. This has never happened to us at the Indigo and we've never been asked to show any of our cards we used for a discount. Being and African-American, I took offense to this. I would never ask for a discount pretending to be a member of a discount group. My two sons, my daughter, my husband and I are all professionals. I would never make a reservation under false pretense. Maybe some people do this a lot and they have to start asking now, but I have never had to present a card before. I just didn't care for her "stank" attitude. At one point, she waited for me to produce a card and acted like she was going to "cancel" our reservation or something. Yes, it was embarrassing. Please post a sign at the front desk that says, "You will need your card if you are reserved with a discount rate". Then I won't feel picked out! As far the hotel, it's a great place. We had a suite and another room. Clean, comfy and a shower that was large enough to dance around it. Please be reminded that the person at the front desk is usually your first encounter and sets the tone for the rest of the stay. My stay did not start off with the right tone, but it ended well.

The hotel used to be very nice. It is showing some aging now and despite the claims of renovation you'd be hard pressed to recognize any. The rooms are getting run down. The bathroom tile is dingy. Grout is dirty on floor and in shower. The carpet this outlines the hard flooring looks like it is well worn. Even the sheets and covers look worn out. To add to that even the corner chair was filthy in the room I had on this recent trip. It had dirty spot all over it. I almost was afraid to sleep in the bed and actually slept with clothes on because the bed looked over used and dingy. This hotel used to be my goto place. It sits on a nice lake if you are willing o pay for that view, and despite claims of renovation I think it more wishful thinking. The place needs an overhaul. Sorry but that is an honest review. It also seems understaffed and the help is strong to do many things at once which doesn't work. One person to check ion guests while running around the hotel taking career of other things just isn't very good. Will look for other places in the future. I might mention that last stay there was a rainstorm and the electric was out all night until everyone checked out and moved elsewhere. No the air and lighting and elevators are not backed up by a generator. Wishful thinking!

This hotel’s location is excellent. Restaurants are close by. There’s a lovely walking path used by hotel guests and apartment dwellers. It’s peaceful and quiet. The room was comfortable and nice. Mr. Javier Gill, the General Manager, was extremely helpful and professional. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is clean, quiet, has a trendy decor and the staff are all very pleasant. We’ve stayed there on several occasions. A plus is that it’s in a small mall with a couple of places to eat that are easily within walking distance. Having stayed here on multiple occasions we’ve had a chance to get to know the bar/restaurant ~ which is not up to the higher standards of the hotel. Breakfast can be good to very good. The very limited evening menu offers snacks and simple meals. I’ve had the opportunity to try most everything on the menu and it’s all consistently awful. So, my recommendation is to stay at the hotel ~ but, eat and drink just about anywhere else.

The hotel lacks dining . I have to give it a 4 star because I have to compare all hotels across the board when I do the reviews. This was a built from the ground up hotel Indigo. The rooms are nicely laid out, Quite clever actually. The bed was nice to sleep on. The shower was excellent. The room was clean and the air conditioning was nice. My only gripe was the TV remote control honestly sucked. The staff was nice and the location is excellent location. There's some fine dining in the area. Would definitely go back.

We stayed here one night while visiting relatives and found it a very pleasant place to stay. The hotel is not located along a busy road and was quiet and comfortable. It was rainy so we could not enjoy the patio overlooking the lake but could tell that it would be a delight with better weather. Our breakfast was delicious and we found the staff pleasant and personable.

We went up to Jacksonville for a sporting event and stayed at the Indigo for two nights. The hotel is located in a mixed use area with some condos/apartments , a few restaurants and some storefronts . The Indigo itself is beside a cute lake with a walking path. The staff are great and housekeeping was provided on a daily basis . The hotel was recently refurbished and our room was large, comfortable , clean and stylish. Rooms have a mini fridge and coffee . We walked to a few restaurants for dinner which was convenient . The pool area is small but seemed fine enough. If I’m back in the area again next year, I’ll definitely be staying there again.

The only hotel to stay at in Jacksonville. Nestled in the charming tapestry park, deer wood campus this property is perfect not only for business travelers but should be considered for getaways. Pristine inside and out and with everything you need for comfort. OMG the beds! In this age when anger and meanness rule, this hotel is an oasis. Javier Gil, Kia, Maryland and the elite housekeeping team we offer our undying gratitude and admiration for taking the time to locate and return some very expensive items that we accidentally left behind. You folks are amazing. Our pup Zoe sends her regards. You made her welcome.
