First of all, Andy was terrific. He met us on arrival, and was available to answer most any question. His local roots were a big plus. That being said, we were a bit disappointed with the overall presentation of the inn. Everything was clean, but seemed a bit worn. We stayed in the Champagne room, which was a large room,... More

The property and the home were very relaxing during our one night stay. If you are visiting the CIA, this is a very convenient location. The owner was not there when we arrived, but a note on the door provided us with guidance on room location and welcome snack. The room was clean as was the rest of the home.

We paid $480 for three nights here and didn't the value quite measured up. It might have been a better value some years back when the decor, furnishings, etc. were in better shape. The proprieter, we presume, used to make this her full-time calling, but not now perhaps. There seemed to be a lot pride expressed in the quality of... More

We were glad, but surprised, to be able to book a single Saturday night here in August as part of our 2-week trip. But, shockingly, 4 days before and while travelling, the owner e-mailed to cancel. Supposedly, a film crew had overstayed and we were bumped, like poor relations. We were furious & aghast. YOU want to try booking a... More

This place was a last minute booking for us on our weekend tour of the Hudson Valley. It was a shame because the room we stayed in was so outrageously expensive, I couldn't believe we were paying that much compared to other bed and breakfasts. We picked it for its proximity to some of our touristy destinations. The owners or... More

Five stars are not enough to rate our absolutely fabulous time at this very relaxing, comfortable, warm, friendly, well appointed inn. We simply wanted a location near the Culinary Institute (CIA), but Le Petit Chateau became the highlight of our visit. We found a welcome note on the door, and after we let ourselves in and enjoyed the wine and... More

We chose this B&B because of the distance to the Culinary Institute and all the sides . We were the only ones in the old house, a very pleasant stay. Wine and cheese and organic simple breakfast ! We loved the room! Fireplace made it warm and cozy ! I am sure in the summer the grounds are beautiful !

This our second time at Petit Chateau. We stayed there at the beginning of December. We stayed there in May for my daughters wedding. The accommodation were fine. I liked the rustic feeling of the Inn. The rustic feeling is coupled with the feeling of being in Burgundy region of France. Wine and cheese is available to arriving guests. Wine... More

Not worth the price for a simple farm house. Linens/towels are dated and worn. Quiet, as we were the only guests. The culinary experience was good but again not worth anywhere near the price. I feel more than a little used paying over $800 for two nights, breakfast and dinner for two.

My mom and I stayed here when visiting the CIA, and had a great time. Valerie, the owner, was especially kind and accommodating of our requests (early breakfast, particular food items), and even offered to give us a lift to our class. She made us feel very welcome--like we were visiting a friend!
