We spotted this cafe as we were leaving Inscription Rock monument. The food was delicious but the service could have been better. The waitress kept on forgetting what we had ordered and had to return to us to check on whether she had got it right!

This is a great camping area with a unique atmosphere. We had a pop-up trailer and had no problem maneuvering into our site, but wouldn't recommend for larger RV's; we witnessed others having a difficult time due to the narrowness of the lane that runs through the park. There are cabins offered, which we did not use. There is a...

What a fantastic place and find! Laid back, incredible food at the Ancient Way Cafe, and a great atmosphere. Thank you to the El Morro staff who made our stay memorable! Would definitely go back and stay for longer, as well as recommend to anyone passing through the area.

I would drive back here just for the scones and the smell of pinoin pine! Absolutely one of the most beautiful places we visited. Super friendly people. The view spectacular! Near Inscription Rock -a must see for history buffs. -

We wanted to see El Morro National Monument and get away from Christmas madness for a weekend! The El Morro RV Park and Cabins and Ancient Way Cafe was just the ticket. We had a special package the operator had advertised. Our cabin and dinner for two was $110. Dinner that night was a strip steak (cooked to perfection), mashed...

We had a hard time finding this place, but finally arrived just as the sun was setting so had to quickly put up tent and hurry to the cafe. Unfortunately, they were out of food but some campers came to our rescue! It was getting very cold, so while we took hot showers, they made us soup over their campfire...

What a jewel this is. We were so pleased with our cabin! And it even had TV and internet access. After 4 days of hiking in the wilderness, this was the perfect place to reintroduce us to civilization. We arrived late and the restaurant was closing, but the chef cooked us a meal and delivered it to our cabin! Where...

Our RV site was soft dirt, but fairly level. However the utility connections were spread all over the place, making it a challenge to find the sweet spot on the pad where everything would reach. I ultimately opted to only connect electric and water and just dump grey/black the morning that we departed. The office/café keeps fairly odd hours, which...

We stayed for 5 nights while doing a project at El Morro National Monument. The location was perfect for us, but more importantly the cabin worked really well for our needs. There are 4 cabins, 2 small and 2 larger ones. We had one of the larger ones, which was perfect for us. It is simple yet tastefully appointed. What...

This is a short drive from El Morro, El Malpais, and the Ice Cave. The restaurant on site is excellent. We stayed two nights in a cabin. They have perhaps four one-room cabins as well as an RV park. The cabin was rustic, but clean, and included a small TV, a microwave, and a frig. It has everything we needed...

“There are only 4 cabins. We had colleagues in the 2 smaller cabins, and they worked great for individuals, or for an overnight. The larger cabin was perfect for us because we could use the second bed as a place to organize our gear.”
