As others have said this B and B location can't be beat! Loved sitting on the lawn at sunset with a glass of wine overlooking the battlefield as well as viewing the morning mist over the valley while eating a wonderful breakfast! The hosts were extremely helpful, the inn was charming, loved Molly the golden, and only a few minutes... More

We just returned from a two-night stay with our niece and we second what everyone else is saying. The Doubleday Inn is in a great location, especially if you are a morning walker. We had two rooms, the Devin and the Sallie, and both were great, with the minor quibble being the bathroom for the Sallie (the only one in... More

Let me start by saying that I just LOVED this Inn and, yes, you should stay here. My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the O'Neal Room. It was perfect for just the two of us and had a great window with a view of the back yard. The private bathroom looked to be the old closet and was... More

Located in the heart of the battlefield. The house is immaculate and the breakfast was terrific. This was the first bed and breakfast we have stayed at. We only stayed one night and wished we had stayed two. Very relaxing. We sat outside and drank several bottles of wine from the Adams County Winery. You can walk right out the... More

The owners, Todd and Christine, were so helpful in guiding us while planning our 1st visit to Gettysburg. They provided us with the auto tour CD for free which was perfect and it saved us some money on tours! We were able to drive our own car around the battlefield and spend more time at certain locations that interested us.... More

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The innkeepers were very pleasant & knowledgeable and offered suggestions on how to see the battlefield, as well as where to dine. The inn is situated right on the battlefield surrounded by all the history. The room (Devin) was very cozy with a large bathroom. The breakfast was also outstanding. I... More

Went here with my wife for a quick getaway. We were greeted by Christine, Todd & Molly. After giving us a tour of the house and our room (Iverson), they lent us a copy of the Gettysburg auto tour and we were on our way. They gave us great suggestions on restaurants and pubs in the town, which after going... More

Great location. Beautiful property. Christine and Todd were very friendly, loved the dog. Really, nothing bad to say. Room was a nice size, bathroom was huge! Be careful, Sallie room is very, very small with separate bathroom across hall. No TVs in the rooms which makes for a little too much quiet for us, but the decks out back and... More

We first stayed at the Doubleday Inn about 15 years ago and while there are now new innkeepers, its as wonderful as ever. The location is absolutely perfect - right on the battlefield. There are monuments right across the quiet, tree lined street. We were fortunate to be there on a night when a local historian visits the Inn and... More
