We had a delightful stay at Battlefield B&B. The location couldn't be better as the barn was a field hospital and the oldest part of the house served as cavalry headquarters during the battle. Accommodations and food were excellent, staff was friendly and helpful. An added bonus was the pre breakfast presentation by Steve a local historian. We handled artifacts... More

We spent our stay in the Swan Cottage which we found very comfortable plenty of space and facilities. The B & B lays on a one hour talk on the Civil War before breakfast which was very interesting and informative. A well prepared breakfast follows.

My wife, my 3 year old son, and I visited Gettysburg for a few days at the end of August for my wife's birthday. When I booked at battlefield, the option popped up for a cake. Excellent. They had a delicious cake waiting in the room on the second day (my wife's actual birthday) to my specifications. The staff was... More

This is the second time we had the pleasure of staying in this historic B&B. The owners take great pride in the upkeep of the home and grounds and have made vast improvements over the years. It is a homey place to live for a few nights. The breakfast is cooked to order, with a careful mind towards dietary restrictions.... More

The place is beautiful. We spent only one night there with our dog, but it was perfect for us. Strong dog accommodations and services (they will dog walk), pretty decent breakfast, very lovely and spacious rooms and bathrooms, and friendly hosts. Minor downsides: they had a historian come in Sunday morning before breakfast for free which is a great idea.... More

My husband and I just got back from a two night stay in The Tack Room. We were newbies to this bed and breakfast and we were quite impressed. This room is amazing. Since it is located in the barn, it is separated from the main house by a short walk which makes it your own little hide a way.... More

We took the family here to the swan cottage and loved the seclusion. It is a separate house all on it's own and has been beautifully remodeled. A very large bathroom with a big jet tub was definitely enjoyed by us as were the massaging chairs too. We had the kids sleep in the living room on rollaways while my... More

I stayed here with my little sister, two cousins, and grandparents. We were here for only two nights, so that we could spend one full day in Gettysburg (to tour the battlefield, cemetery, and museum). We booked two rooms, one for myself and my male cousin, and one for my grandparents, little sister, and female cousin. Our room was very... More

We booked a last minute trip to Battlefield B&B and we're very pleasantly surprised! Excellent breakfast, and we were able to learn so much about the Civil War history from the experts who came every morning. They were also very dog friendly, lots of room to walk him on the grounds, and horses and cats to play with!

My husband and I took our scotties on vacation, one of the older ones has cancer and it was his "special" trip. Most of our vacation was budget, but I decided to splurge for one night! We got The Tack Room, under the barn. Travelling with dogs, I wanted to be in an area that was easy access, and away... More

I am very happy to hear that our hospitality experience made you and your Scotties happy. Bear in mind that the next time you visit us you do not necessarily have to choose the Tack Room to avoid a pet fee. We do not charge pet fees for having pets in any of our 12 rooms here at Battlefield Bed... More
