Everything during our stay was wonderful. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious. Beds very comfortable. Location was in the heart of downtown area.. walking distance to many shops and restaurants. We will be staying here again soon.
We were so happy to find this last minute- the staff was so kind and helpful and the bartender, Paul, was great and very knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here in this wonderful piece of history again?
Great stay at a phenomenal location. Terry & Paul and friends made it a memorable weekend. Great wedding venue, excellent food, wonderful atmosphere. If you visit Gettysburg, this is the place to stay. Hope to return sometime soon. Thank you !!
Terri and Paul are the best! They are not only amazing bartenders but welcoming faces and friends! Terri and Paul make One Lincoln feel like home! Drinks are on point too! Stop by and visit them and have a drink or two! You won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely love the bartender, Terri! Also love the new black bean dip and the mushroom risotto with a piece of salmon added on the top!!!!! It’s the go to place for my friends for happy hour. Great mix of locals and tourists😊
The Gettysburg Hotel is first class. All of the staff were friendly and nice. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Location is ideal because you can walk everywhere form the hotel and the tours pick-up right in front of the hotel. We would definitely stay here again.
We like it here we stayed here at least 3 x in consecutive year .. though it’s expensive but we like it because it’s in the center of the the town and where it’s all happening ! Just one concern is the lack of housekeeping and of course blame it on covid! They don’t clean the room or make your bed unless your staying more than 3 nites .. but upon request you can asked for fresh towels and garbage bags.. the housekeeper assigned to our room have a big time attitude lol! When I told her my husband is napping this around 3:30 pm she told me well I am here to clean your bathroom this lady did not offer to come back later … mind you we where out all day !! Anyway I think she is over worked I guessed ! Oh they need to fix the faucet in the sink it leaks and need better clean on the jet tub.. my husband attempted to soaked after golfing… we decided to clean first with Lysol and wow you can’t imagine the dirt.. he decided opt out .. nope nope … to dirty!! Hahaha! And one more thing they need to order new linens / beddings it’s old !…
If you want a quiet dark room with an outlook of car parks cross your fingers & wish for room 207. It is a large, clean, dated (the bathroom) well equipped room with no view. Personally I would prefer “a room with a view” in Gettysburg. Nothing “historic” about the room. The reception staff, though, are very friendly & obliging.
Outstanding facility and helpful stall. I have stayed at other "historic" hotels - this was the best by far. Bright and clean - heart of the historic district. We could NOT find any faults. Will return.
I went to Gettysburg for a two night stay. Getting into the elevator, I noticed the buttons were broken and it kept opening. Upon arriving, I was given a moldy, musty smelling outdated room. The curtains were old as well as the furniture. There were scratches on the walls and the furniture had stains on them!!I sat on the couch and started to itch. I then decided to put up with it and make coffee. I opened it up and it was corroded with dirt. I took the coffee maker to the front desk. A very rude staff member grabbed it from my son's hand and threw it on the floor saying room service will bring another up. I then asked if my room could be changed. She very rudely said no they were all booked out. I then walked away dissatisfied. The manager then saw this and asked me what was wrong. I told him that the room was outdated and I was having an allergic reaction to the room. He very nicely said that he could put me in another room. He showed me two rooms that were better than the original. But upon inspection of the room after staying in it a while, there was blood on the curtains and the bathroom shower faucet was hard to work with very little regulation. Also, there was no maid service. It was only after a two night stay. I called for towels and toilet paper and then had to go down myself after 2 hours waiting. In addition, you have to pay for parking every day in a city lot that has no security. There were kids hanging out in it and roller skating. The walls of the room were thin. You could hear the people next door and in the hallway. The kids next door were trying to open up the connecting door. The hotel also had functions right in the middle of where you had to get on the elevator. Never staying again. Very disappointed with the condition of this hotel.…
