I booked the Gettysburg hotel in December 2022 as a Christmas present for my husband... At 3:00 PM, I receive a phone call from the hotel advising me that my room is not available, there are no rooms available due to renovations not completed on time and they have booked me at the Best Western... After expressing my displeasure, asking if there were any rooms available during our stay, asking if there was another hotel available (to which I was informed no on both counts), I requested the manager to send me the address of the Best Western... Upon hanging up, I found NUMEROUS hotels and inns with availability... I did not want to stay at the Best Western and booked at the Brickhouse Inn (which was comparably priced and very cute)... The fact that they never sent me information on the hotel they had booked for me is absolutely unacceptable...

This was my first time staying at Gettysburg Hotel... The staff was very accommodating, the room was pristine and very large, the bed was comfortable, and the food was fantastic...

The most over priced, lowest accommodations possible. I spent over $200 for an average, plain room with no fridge, no microwave, a faulty tv, and ridiculous parking down the street in a parking garage that Charged You...

...The stain was wet-to-touch and smelled of a mix of mold and what I thought was motor oil and, as it was between the entryway and bedroom, no way to avoid walking through it. Thinking there was a mechanical fluid leak flooding the room, I notified the front desk immediately... Upon notifying the front desk, I was told there were no other rooms available to move to and, that was it... No option, no offer to refund so we could seek out another hotel, nothing... Their solution, as they stated “ there is no hotel manager available” “and the room was already charged for” is to send housekeeping up to “cover it with towels so we would not have to walk through it” ( see photos)... Luckily for us, the windows open in the room so we could ventilate and not breathe in the oil fumes... **hotel management-check your system for contact info for guest who stayed in Room #416 on 2/10/23 for one night if you would like more information and additional photos...

We traveled to Gettysburg to participate in a Strange Escapes weekend, and stayed at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel and the rooms are very nice... We stayed in the oldest section of the hotel in the most haunted (we were told) room (311), although we didn't experience any paranormal activity during our stay... The only thing I can say that is somewhat negative is that our room didn't have a mini fridge or a microwave...

...Bad: Room carpet stained... AC kept turning off and room became hot... Rooms facing the circle may be noisy for some...

The hotel is nice, but the bar staff (specifically A female bartender, I believe is named Terry, late 40s-50s, short silver hair) is rude and openly insults bar guests, in front of other guests...

Madison in particular went above and beyond helping with a surprise for my parents who were arriving a day after me... One Lincoln is not your average hotel restaurant- we enjoyed a lovely dinner there...
