Detailed Reviews
This campground is just great. The staff very friendly and organized. I stayed here in a tent traveling on my motorcycle. The tent sites have mulch down on the site so it does make it a little softer. The shower rooms are very clean, I have seen some reviews saying they are dated and old, but I thought they were some of the nicest I have seen at some campgrounds. I have always wanted to go to Gettysburg and I'm glad I picked this place to stay. I am planning on going back soon with the family. One side note, the RV sites are kinda tight together, but its still a nice place to go. There are several activities normally on the weekends for kids. It is only about 5 minutes from Gettysburg.

It was really nice that upon entering there were 2 lanes in which to park while picking up my credentials. The staff were very friendly, the map was clearly marked as to how to drive to my creekside space that had water and electric (and free wifi). Being a bit of a novice, I had a hard time getting parked so I called the office for assistance and the maintenance manager was incredibly helpful! The groundcover of the campground is mainly packed stone which I thought was nice because there were no weeds or mud to contend with. The site had a picnic table and fire ring and trees. The pool is an adequate size and there is a lot of seating around it. Two convenient dump stations with running water are available. I have no complaints about the campground or the staff - I will definitely stay here again.

We're in our 4th season of RV camping and have stayed at a variety of campgrounds in Pa, DE, Md and NJ. Gettysburg staff, hands down are the most friendly, helpful folks we've ever encountered. When you arrive, you're always greeted with a smile and a "How are you folks all doing today?" Check in is organized and quick and they lead you to your campsite. The campsites are roomy and fairly level. Of course, we have auto-leveling so it's never really a hardship:) A lot of the sites have good shade as well. If you have issues or need repairs, there is an RV repair shop on site.
It's very peaceful there and you can unwind and relax, fish in March creek, swim in the pool or play frisbee on the field. You are also 5 minutes away from all the awesome Gettysburg attractions.
Gettysburg Campground is 5 stars in our book!

First time here, a little disappointed to say the least. If you like being right next to strangers constantly and hearing everyone’s conversation and music around you, this is the place for you! Sites are ridiculously close together. I’m not even sure how people park their campers when the place is so full like it was on the weekend. We got there on a Thursday, so it was less crowded that day. There’s people behind, beside, and in front of you. It’s nuts. Where we parked, there was a lovely walnut tree that ripped 3 holes in our canopy when they fell from the tree. People are supposed to not have loud music at any time of the day, according to their website, although many people played LOUD music throughout the day. Very annoying when 1, not everyone likes the same music and 2, some people like to relax and listen to nature sounds. I’m not at a club. Not only that but music went past 11 pm when it’s supposed to be quiet time after 11, and when you call the office, there’s no option to talk to anyone after hours. Everything is so close together, but yet our water and sewer cords somehow weren’t long enough, causing us to buy them at their store, which were much more expensive than what they would be at a regular store. Cable tv was fuzzy and had hardly any channels. Also sewer needed emptied on our 3rd day. It was a Saturday. Normally you pay $10 but because it was after hours and on a Saturday, we had to pay $25! LOL. I would much rather stay at a state park, just wasn’t for us, but maybe it is for some people. Will never stay here again.

They are friendly and helpful but when we arrived our reserved site was changed because of electrical issues. The adjoining sites occupants had a bad electrical box and we’re using our box so we were moved to a different site. Little did we know that we would experience an electrical issue. Thank goodness we had a surge protector and messages that told us we had low voltage. We left a day early and they did not get nasty when we requested reimbursement.

We apologize for the inconvenience during your stay. When we realized there was an issue, we made sure to call in advance so you would be fully aware prior to your arrival. Unfortunately these things come up sometimes. We always work diligently to correct any mechanical issues. We hope you will choose to visit us again in the future.

The pluses - close to Gettysburg - we brought our bikes and could bike right from the campground to the battlefields so that was convenient. Our RV site was on the creek which was really beautiful and we got to see an owl and a great heron frequently :)
The cons - the RV sites on the creek are like being in a can of sardines! SUPER close together! Like why go camping just to be in a parking lot and hear everybody else talking/playing music!!????? I got no sleep because our neighbors were up all night. Not my kind of camping. at all. IF they spread the RV sites out, it would be way nicer.

The staff was very nice and the campground was in a good location, but the sites were really bad super close and you we had about four campers water lines running through our site. They also need to get the trees removed near the road it makes the roads very tight. We do a lot of camping and I would say I’d would never stay again.

Felt very unwelcome here. We were in a group of 4 sites. It had rained and the sites are not maintained for drainage. Therefore it was difficult to park anywhere. We thought it would be harmless to park in site next to ours and would happily move it was booked last min but given it was Nov and the entire place was empty it wouldn’t be an issue. We got yelled at for sitting in an empty site because our sites weren’t accommodating for us as a group . So we decided to book and open site. That is when the nitpicking started between parking cars, lights and music- all before 5pm! A worker that was drinking complained about a light we had shining on our site so we could see food- we said fine we can make sure it was bothering anyone. His camper was far enough away that it wouldn’t be bothersome. Then he complained our music was loud- I told him it wasn’t loud and our group was two campers deep and no one else around that wasn’t in our group could hear it nor had an issue. I am all for being respectful but their approach to everything was not customer service friendly.

June 22-25. We had a wonderful time! Our site was right along the creek so we could walk out and fish or sit on the bank. There were several families of ducks to enjoy watching as they swam up and back. We have a popup so bathhouses are nice. All amenities were open, including the pool. The camp store was nice and had just about everything you could possibly want if needed. The grounds are very nice and the staff was excellent! We will be back and highly recommend!!

If you cancel your trip here for any reason (that includes death or illness) within 10 days of your planned stay, they will take your whole deposit. Also, they charge your credit card 7 days prior to your stay for the full amount. I have expressed my displeasure with the manager. Will not stay here again.

I don't think they have a shuttle. Call them to be sure. We saw many motorhomes in the park; the battlefield trail was very rig-friendly when we were there. Perhaps there are tour companies that would pick you up.
We just used our car and I don't remember seeing one for one in the office. sorry I dont know
A word of warning!! We are currently staying at the campground. The sites are located in a grove of walnut trees and they are raining down large nuts. So far all three of our roof vents have been destroyed. The owner just tells us "so sorry, too bad for you"
YOUR TRAILER WILL BE DAMAGED....STAY AWAY!!
