My wife booked the Swoop Manor B&B for my birthday in mid February. Figured winter would be a good time to visit Gettysburg since it was off season. The weekend we stayed there was a burst of spring, temps in the upper 60's and the town was hopping. When we arrived the innkeeper Kyle was there to greet us, check...

Spent 2 nights in one of the smaller rooms. Everything was just superb. I was greeted by Kyle, in period dress, who waited for me even though I was 30 min late in checking in. She is a fun person who also really knows how to make you feel at home. During a tour of the property, she told the...

This was the second time we've stayed at the Swope Manor Bed and Breakfast and enjoyed every minute. Lots of common rooms to enjoy. Breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are 13 beautiful rooms so you can go back again and again. With a great place like this we won't be looking for anywhere...

My friend and I spent 3 nights here in the Swope Suite while visiting Gettysburg this past Sept/Oct. We wanted our own beds and there aren't too many B&Bs with 2 beds. We absolutely loved the house and our suite! Everything was well maintained and gorgeous. We both eat a low carb diet and they were very accommodating and even...

Large B&B in historic home, extensively renovated. Several room types (suites, singles), 13 rooms in all. The finishes were all quite nice, no skimping on quality. Many rooms had hardwood floors (and no problems with my dust allergy). Excellent breakfasts and homemade cookies all day in the dining room. Felt like staying in a well-maintained historic museum. Staff gave a...

This was the second year we spent New Years at the Swope Manor. The B&B is so beautiful and the owner John, his wife and staff were the perfect hosts! They went out of their way to make our stay outstanding! Complimentary champagne and trinkets for our celebration, delicious breakfast, we can not say enough about how happy we were!...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night while visiting Gettysburg. We felt well prepared after reading reviews and the communication from the B&B. We pulled into the side parking lot and went in to check in. There's a beautiful back yard with a deck and a fire pit. The area is fenced in and private. We checked in...

This was our third visit to The Swope. We absolutely love coming here. The staff is great, the food is amazing, and the house is gorgeous. During each of our visits we stayed in a different room and each one has its own charm. They are beautifully decorated and have plenty of amenities. This past weekend we did the holiday...

I visited the Swope Manor with two of my daughters last month. The house was beautiful and spotlessly clean. Kyle was very warm and welcoming, and answered all questions about the manor and Gettysburg. Bruce served excellent breakfasts and was very personable. They both went out of their way to accommodate our needs and requests. Even though we have been...

We just spent a weekend and loved it. My sister's family rented the Swope Suite and me and my partner stayed in the Emily Rose. Very nicely decorated rooms with comfortable beds. The location is absolutely perfect- you are steps away from shops and restaurants. Public parking garage is super close too. The staff was wonderful- Bruce, Laura and Kyle...
