Our family of four stayed here one night a couple of weeks ago while touring the battlefield. I do some historic preservation as a "hobby" and was intrigued about this property and the excellent reviews. We found a great example of how the owner saved this former school and transformed it into a well-functioning inn. (It definitely has the feel...

I stay in hotels about 10 days a month on business. This trip was with my wife traveling to G-burg for a lacrosse tournament. Food at the Pub was great, decor and physical plant of the renovated school was outstanding. However, the staff is amongst the best that I've experienced in the world. 10 stars

I booked a night here as a surprise for my husband - we had planned a one-day visit to Gettysburg since we had a schedule to keep and it really wasn't 'on the way', but it was the closest we had ever been to Gettysburg and I wanted to try to make it special for him. We were NOT disappointed,...

This place is absolutely gorgeous we were personally escorted to our room in a nice quiet corner the room is very spacious and remarkably well kept and clean...the staff I encountered were so wonderful they helped us pick places to eat and we were not disappointed in any of them ...I also spoke to another staff person she made me...

When you first see this hotel, you are in awe, it's beautiful, it says Gettysburg. The parking lot is well lit, lots of spaces to park in, with a huge porch, replete with wicker rocking chairs and regular chairs. Upon entering, you are greeted by a smiling face, very important, when you have just come off a 5 plus hour...

Gettysburg isn't a big town but there are many options when choosing a place to stay. We chose the FP because it looked a bit more up-market than some of the competition. A wise move. The staff were welcoming and polite, the room was spacious and spotlessly clean, the parking was free. At 3pm to 4pm they serve tea and...

The staff was very helpful (especially Vicki) and insightful, and - as other reviews have noted - the location was ideal. It was close enough to walk to downtown, but far enough away to be out of the fray. Free private parking is a nice amenity. Rooms are clean, and bathrooms are spacious.

Stayed one night here in June as a couple; we had a king suite which was on the 3rd floor, corner room and very spacious. The front desk staff at this hotel could not be nicer. We were shown to our room personally. The location is great; close enough to walk to restaurants and shops in downtown Gettysburg, but far...

Previously, Federal Ponte Inn was Gettysburg High School. The conversion to the Inn was done very nicely. The landscaping on the property is very attractive and well kept. The entry to the Inn is handicap accessible and the small porch has a few very comfortable rocking chairs. The room was very large with at least 10' ceilings. The room and...

Picked this hotel for the walking distance to downtown which was excellent! Very clean, great amenities (in room Keurig, walk in shower, etc). Will stay here again! Afternoon scones and front desk staff who helped us to room and gave spot on dining recommendations a plus.
