Lovely grounds, charming rooms, amazing breakfasts, & outstanding hosts. Kudos to innkeepers Shiree & Craig, staff Hannah & Datzie, & inn pets Millie & Minnie! Inn has several common areas for dining or lounging, with several gas fireplaces throughout. We appreciated the guest kitchen area that had a mircowave & refrigerator. Inn is secluded but it is an easy 4-mi drive to town and attractions.

LOVED OUR STAY! My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at the Inn at White Oak for our 19th wedding anniversary. The hospitality Shiree and Craig showed us was excellent. The breakfast and service each morning was amazing and the treats they put out in the pantry for snacking were also an added bonus! The Inn itself is so gorgeously decorated, clean and very serene. We stayed in the Lieutenant's Quarters. The room was pleasant with a few minor flaws that I believe they are hoping to remedy. The room was spot on decorated and clean, the jacuzzi tub was very relaxing and the bed was mostly comfortable however due to it's antique bed frame it was very squeaky/noisy just getting onto the bed and moving the slightest bit LOL. We are definitely looking forward to a return visit in the near future and hoping to reserve one of the other rooms. Thank you!

Beautiful hideaway just north of the square in Gettysburg. The secluded location features three beautiful ponds with wild life passing through. Our room had a stone fireplace with gas logs and comfortable furniture for lounging. The sunroom featured a fantastic copper tub plus shower and lots of windows everywhere so we felt like we were outdoors. All of the accommodations were outstanding and the breakfasts were a gourmet delight. Highly recommend this Inn for a relaxing getaway.

My husband and I rarely do anything for an anniversary having two young daughters getting away is a rarity but with such a crazy and scary year we decided that this year we would celebrate by doing just that. I was most concerned with the actual place we would stay and location was secondary. I found the Inn at White Oak online and was impressed by the reviews. We were not disappointed! The Inn at White Oak may be one of the most charming and warm places I have ever stayed. The common areas were so beautifully and meticulously decorated and the aroma from the delicious homemade ginger chocolate cookies wafted through the rooms. We stayed in the Captains Quarters and the room was equally homey and spacious. The bathroom was enormous and offered a jacuzzi tub and a incredible view of the grounds. The grounds themselves are expansive and you can enjoy a scenic walk around the designated trail that takes you around the 32 acres of property. The breakfasts were incredible!!! Beautifully presented and just as delicious! We didn't need lunch either day we were there because the breakfasts were so filling! Lastly, everyone was so friendly and even with the covid restrictions we just felt so comfortable and welcomed. I could go on and on about all the details which makes this place an absolute treasure! I told my husband I would like to make this Inn an annual trip! i would like to go back and partake in some of the amenities such as the heated indoor pool and the day spa which sadly we didn't get to do because of time constraints. If you are planning a trip to Gettysburg or just looking for a place to get away I highly recommend the Inn at White Oak!!!

Book your stay at The White Oak Inn today. There are so many wonderful things to say I hope I dont miss any. My girlfriend and I booked this get away to tour Gettysburg and learn more about the history and we couldn't be happier we did. The Inn is set on a large private property that is beautifully landscaped with 3 ponds and walking paths. The layout of the Inn is unique as the rooms are separated well and you have a lot more privacy than would be found in most B&B. The common amenities are amazing. They have multiple sitting areas, an very classy billiards room, two dining areas. They have a kitchen that is always stocked with soda, water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There are also treats each day that are homemade on site. The private indoor pool area is a really nice touch you wont usually find in a bed and breakfast. The pool is heated so swimming is available all year round.
My Girlfriend loved her spa experience. The spa is located on the lower level and is private and luxurious.
I was able to book a private tour of Gettysburg National Battlefield Park. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the events of the time before, during and after the battle. The tour also came with admission to the Battlefield Visitors Center.
Now let's talk about breakfast. I am not usually a big breakfast person, but Sherrie really should have a show on the food network. Every morning she topped the previous day's meal. The mix of traditional breakfast ingredients with scrumptious sweet toppings was out of this world.
Sherrie and Craig who we just met when we arrived felt like old friends with in a couple of hours. I really felt they cared a great deal about our time in Gettysburg as much as our time at the Inn. They made amazing recommendations for where to dine, what to visit, and any other questions we may have had along the way.
We will definitely be making this a place we plan to return to again and again.

My husband and I supposed to stay overnight in this place, but due to unforeseen circumstances we had to leave shortly after we’ve arrived.
We booked the Commander’s quarter and it would’ve been just perfect for the two of us! Just what I imagined.
When we arrived, Shiree, showed us our amazing room, the other rooms and the amenities they offer, I’d say all the corners and decor in this place are well thought of and has personal touch to them.
A beautiful place, perfect for couple who wants to just have time for themselves or to celebrate special occasions. I’d say having your wedding held here would be a dream come true. This place is more beautiful in person than it is in pictures.
The owners/hosts of this place are wonderful, good and honest people. I’m speaking from my personal experience.
Since we had to leave too soon and was in a rush, I did not realize I left my wedding and engagement rings in our room.
I only found out when we got home and called Shiree right away. She found them where I exactly left them and mailed them back to me, she wrapped them nicely, used her own jewelry pouch and box and made sure I’ll get them safely.
I would highly recommend this place if you want to be away from all the noise and busy lifestyle for awhile, have a romantic time with your partner or even just for yourself to relax or find peace and tranquillity…
We are definitely going back to this amazing place whenever we get chance and make sure that it’ll be a longer stay.

This was our first B&B experience, and I’m not sure many places could top it. When we arrived, we were given a tour of the house and shown the amenities (fully stocked kitchen for guests, billiards room, game room, library, paths around ponds,) then shown to our room. We stayed in the Commander’s Quarters and it was stunning. The floor to ceiling windows allowed a beautiful and private view of the ponds and manicured grounds. There were multiple seating areas. The bathroom was massive (yes, the shower is small but we didn’t mind). The copper soaking tub was wonderful. The bathroom also had floor to ceiling windows (all of which have shades) with views of the gardens and a door to your private deck. It was an easy walk from the room to the pool which overlooks the pond. All bath soaps were included including bath salts. Tons of towels were available and comfy spa-like robes.
The breakfast was available at 9am and it was SO GOOD. We even skipped lunch that day because we were so full and content. It was truly gourmet.
The innkeepers were wonderful and did everything to make our stay as relaxing as possible.
We will definitely be back!

I stayed in the Carriage House for 2 nights with my husband and adult daughter, who is disabled and immunocompromised from cancer treatment, on a visit to the nearby Rennaissance festival. I wish we had the time to stay longer. The accommodations were exactly as shown and beautiful, with only the most pleasant surprises. It was our daughter's first trip out and about in 2 years, as she still has to deal with many precautions due to her medical conditions and needs also needs much assistance from us. This was the perfect place to stay, clean and secluded and roomy, no stairs to navigate. The 2 bedrooms with their own private baths were on the opposite sides of the spacious common area to give her and us our privacy - one has a shower, and one has a tub. It's a very short walk across picturesque manicured grounds to the main house. The pool was a great treat, perfect temperature and private for us after 8pm. The grounds were beautiful and the gourmet breakfast absolutely excellent. My specific food allergies were accommodated perfectly and our hostesses were awesome. There was a full kitchen to store our extra snacks and bring back a takeout dinner, since our daughter can't eat out in restaurants yet. Great communication with the owner and hostesses. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our trip, and we hope to visit again as a couple for a romantic weekend and try a different room.

I booked two days for myself and my two girls and had to leave 1 day early due to Hurricane Henri. It was hard to leave! The room was comfortable and had the hugest bathroom (which the girls loved). The Inn itself has a lot of public rooms to read, lounge or play billiards. The grounds are great and there is an indoor pool in a separate carriage house. The breakfast was perfect and catered to my girls' dietary needs. They also baked gluten free desserts for them! When I made the decision to leave at 1:30 on my second day, they loaded us up with water and goodies for the 8 hour drive and didn't charge us for the second night. The Inn is also a short drive to downtown Gettysburg. Nothing not to like - even the room rates were reasonable. Will come again.

Our room was spacious with large screened TV, Jacuzzi, a king sized bed and was very clean. The owners are very easy to work with and make amazing breakfasts, they work with any food allergies and restrictions. The grounds have areas to walk around, or sit outside in the quiet. There are many rooms that can be used by the guests including a Billiards room, game room, parlor, tea room and snack area.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes the comfort of home.
