It's like stepping back in time when you stay at this inn. We stayed in the suite on the second floor, and it is very large with high ceilings and an enormous bed. We felt like we had the house to ourselves overlooking Linclon Square. The only reason I couldn't give it five stars is because it sits right on Lincoln Square, which is a rotary where two main streets cross. That means there is quite a bit of traffic noise, though thankfully that was mainly during the day. Having said that, I would definitely stay there again when I'm in the area
This is a beautifully kept old building overlooking the town square. Our room (Irene Danner - 2nd floor) had a view of what the locals call "Perry Como," a statue of Pres. Lincoln with a modern tourist that resembles Como! Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and historical spots in the town proper. The room was very spacious and had a gas "woodstove" heater that was nice to have in February. The kitchen has a refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, and plenty of dishes. Bed was very comfortable and the innkeeper provided a step-stool for getting into the raised bed more easily. Bathroom has two sinks and the shower is very nice as well. It was very convenient to get in, as all the details and other arrangements were taken care of before our arrival, so all we had to do was park (provided) and go to our room without any messing about. We travel to Gettysburg frequently and this is now on our top 3 list of places to consider. Roomy, comfortable, convenient. You can probably find a cheaper place, but this is worth a few extra bucks. 5+ stars!!…
My husband and our 3 children stayed here for 2 nights while we explored Gettysburg. This historic building is right in the heart of everything! We stayed in the Sarah Danner house, which had plenty of room for us all, a large kitchen and dining room and central air. I had one request of the inn owners which was fulfilled very quickly! Very pleased with our stay and hope to come back again!
Came up twice and for our second stay we spent a couple nights at this Inn-oh my goodness, we wished we spent our first trip here too because it far exceeded every expectation! SO CLEAN, and they thought of everything we could possibly need in the room, even gave us extra coffees and soaps :) Comfortable bed and space and right on the square. Easy walk to the Battlefield. Neat resources at front console and beautiful paintings and art throughout the main stairway. Highly recommend!
My family and I recently stayed at the Inn at Lincoln Square for a long weekend getaway. The owners were both very friendly and nice and more than accommodating. We stayed in the Eva Danner room and we had 3 separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. It worked out great with no sit down restaurants due to covid-19... Reasonably priced and no issues. Would defined stay again.
