My husband and I stayed in Irene Danner suite and it was absolutely charming! The inn was within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants that Gettysburg has to offer. The owners were responsive and accommodating. We had a wonderful weekend and would definitely stay here again!
This was a great place to stay in the heart of Gettysburg. It was remarkably quiet given it is in the center of town. The bed was very comfortable. My brother and family got a townhouse and really liked it. I had a regular room and it was lovely. I would stay here a again.
My wife and I spent a week in the Mary Juliet Danner Suite. The room was awesome and spacious. Gus and Hillary were very kind and helpful. There were also two housekeepers who were nice as could be! I've read some reviews of people complaining about noise. It was never really a problem for us. Occasionally you might hear a particularly loud truck or some boisterous people but being located right on the beautiful and bustling Gettysburg Square that's a bit of a trade off. We slept like rocks. If you're super sensitive to outside sounds perhaps you should consider pitching a pup tent in some woods. I'd stay at The Inn At Lincoln Square again in a heartbeat.
A convenient location to just about everything. Stayed in 2 different suites, due to us calling a few days before arriving and asking for a second night. Both rooms were charming and authentic, and very comfortable.
The place is right on the sqaure in the center of Gettysburg. Check in and check out was easy. Owners very responsive. Walk right outside and stroll around the downtown shops. Restaurants int he area. Parking was included. We were able to park behind the building. Room was large, well-furnished and clean. We would love to stay there again.
We stayed two nights in the Irene Danner room. Absolutely incredible. We loved every minute of our stay there. Beautifully appointed room with authentic period pieces (frankly, we LOVED the four-poster bed). The hosts thought of absolutely everything. Easy walk to nearby restaurants, shops, cider bars, ice cream places, and many, MANY historic attractions. Can't say enough good about this place--we will certainly be back!
This place was delightful with period decor. The owners, Gus and Hillary, communicated extensively about all details. Each suite is more than enough for a family. The contactless check-in and keyless entry added to the trip. The location is perfect to walk almost anywhere in town and it's close to a few food places.
Everyone comments on the central location and charm of The Inn at Lincoln Sq. and I agree. We stayed two nights at the Irene Danner room, second floor facing the square and it is extremely spacious. Thoughtfully appointed, it has everything one needs including a coffee maker. Noise was not an issue at all and WiFi was strong. The problem we encountered was that the charming poster bed is 35 inches high. The bed even has a step ladder, (artfully hidden on photos) on one one side of the bed only. It is not easy to climb onto it, trust me. And I’m 5’7”and flexibility is not an issue for me, but it is for my husband. You have to think twice before going to the bathroom at night, specially if you are a senior as we are. The other issue is that both front door and room door have numbered keypads. Might be my paranoid NYC mind but, how many people have that combination? Did not feel 100% safe, specially since it is an inn where the innkeepers are never seen, the place is very pleasantly impersonal, like an Air BnB. Breakfast sites are few-Starbucks across the street, and bakery diagonally, but if you walk a block down Carlisle St, the street on the side of the Gettysburg hotel, you’ll find the Lincoln Diner offering eggs, pancakes etc. However, the pros outweigh the cons and for a Gettysburg experience I recommend the Inn at Lincoln Sq.…
This was such a unique hotel. I felt like I was in living in a time piece, and it was absolutely stunning! The entire setup and room put a smile on my face. Very accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay!.
I needed a place to stay last minute and learned about this inn from the internet. Despite it being last minute and later in the day, I received prompt and courteous service. Needless to say, I arrived after 11 pm and everything was arranged for my immediate access to the room. The room was fabulously historical, unique and comfortable! I would highly recommend this inn.
